How much row/column is allowed in Hero/Legendary signature?

I have tried to find it out but couldn't find any information. I have checked this tutorial (helped me a lot) but found none of this relative information. How many columns I can use in a signature? New sig designer here.

From the profile page:

Signatures taller than 42px will be cut off.

Edit: width depends on the user's device/browser window. Forum's ad banner seems to set the minimum, which makes at least ~1200px available for the signature.

You mean lines of text? Depends on the font size. Usually it fits about 4 lines of regular text.

BTW 42px might be for Hero/Legendary, not sure about other ranks.
