And you would be more surprised to know the reason for this lawsuit—No, Snowden has not been sued for leaking NSA secrets, instead for publishing a book without submitting it to the agencies for pre-publication review.

What's next? Snowden didn't pay his tax?

Not surprised considering the rape charge used against Julian Assange.

@Baofeng the news in this article is hilarious, because it states that the US government doesn’t want to ban the book but only wants all the revenues that the book will generate from it sales. It’s pertinent to note that despite claiming that Snowden has violated the agreements with them they’re choosing not to sue him, is money so important to them that they’re failing to understand that they should ban the book right away?.

Due to the fact that he was privy to confidential information at one time, his entire book would've had to have been submitted to the US DOJ/ intelligence communities in order to be looked over. Due to him not following this law (I'm not saying I support it or not) they're attempting to sue him for the proceeds from his memoir.

Just so you guys know, and don't have to read a hackernews article!

He needs to rescind his signature off all agreements and contracts that allowed him to access Top Secret info. If he does that, they will have to prove that what he did harmed someone.

It's a shame that both Assange and Snowden don't know how to require them to show some form of harm or damage to a human being. Or to sue them for their release and relief if they don't show it.

Both Assange and Snowden stand to make big money off these jokers when they can't provide a damaged human.
