At start I think of this site as a mere source of income. Because my classmates and friends tell me they earn money from this site. But when I visit this site I was enlightened that  this forum is for us to get and give information about bit coins and other crypto currency. So that we can plan our moves and steps in a more profitable way if we would like to have a career in crypto currency trading. We also get to know people that can help us on our journey in the crypto currency industry. Some times we gain some and some times we lost some. But the important thing there is that we learn from that expirience.

Now this is I would like to ask everyone. I want to know your predictions about Bitcoin and other crypto currency and what are your plans on the near future let's say for the next 5-10 years. Because I as wandering why other people think of bitcoin as a gold that it's value would rise even highier. I was reading the predictions of Big people that think it would be profitable to invest in it for the next five years.

Chamath Palihapitiya is the Founder of Social Capital and Co-Owner of the Golden State Warriors. His Bitcoin journey started with an investment back in 2012, and by 2013 he had included Bitcoin in his hedge fund, general fund, private account. At one point, he owned 5% of all Bitcoin in circulation.

Palihapitiya has predicted Bitcoin price will reach $100,000 in the next 3-4 years, adding that it will reach a price of $1 million by 2037. He said, “This thing has the potential to be comparable to the value of gold…This is a fantastic hedge and store of value against autocratic regimes and banking infrastructure that we know is corrosive to how the world needs to work properly”



Wences Casares – $1,000,000 (by 2027)

Wences Casares is the Founder and CEO of Xapo, a Bitcoin wallet startup, and a board member at PayPal, among various other roles. Casares first found interest in Bitcoin due to high financial volatility in his home country Argentina’s native currency, the Peso. The tech giant bought his first Bitcoins in 2011.

Casares believes that Bitcoin will hit $1 million sometime before 2027, he said at the Consensus 2017 conference in New York. Even better, he believes that Bitcoin could hit one million dollars in as few as 5 years, saying on May 23, 2017, that the milestone will be reached “in 5-10 years”.


John Pfeffer – $700,000 (no date)

John Pfeffer is a partner at London-based family office Pfeffer Capital. He’s set a bold price target for Bitcoin of $700,000—about 175 times the current Bitcoin price of nearly $4,000. Pfeffer said that Bitcoin is the world’s first viable replacement for gold.

The math for his target works like this: firstly, he assumes that Bitcoin can replace all of the gold currently held by private investors — in other words, the gold bars that people keep in safe-deposit boxes or bury in their backyard (simply as a way to park their money in something more dependable than paper). He says that “Bitcoin is vastly easier to store and secure.”

Next up, the current value of all privately held gold bullion is about $1.6 trillion. Assuming there will be 18 million Bitcoins in circulation by the time the cryptocurrency fully replaces gold bullion, the implied value of a Bitcoin would then be $90,000. This is Pfeffer’s most conservative scenario, which he gives 8% odds of coming to fruition.

Yeah, sure, it's entirely possible that it COULD reach 1,000,000 or any other super high arbitrary number in the next 5,10,20 years -- but nobody knows for sure. I certainly wouldn't recommend betting your future on it.

I do not know surely how do they arrived at those big figures, what kind of basis and resources do they have in order for them to derive those figures. Or those figures could be just a guessing act since they are a group of bullish individuals who dreamed big for bitcoin. I dont really disagree with them but somehow those figures are really far fetch. I do believe that 1 million dollars is too much 2027 and 2037, I guess we will be playing at 100k to 300k dollars.

It's interesting that the system can be configured to only allow a
certain maximum number of coins ever to be generated. I guess the
idea is that the amount of work needed to generate a new coin will
become more difficult as time goes on.

One immediate problem with any new currency is how to value it. Even
ignoring the practical problem that virtually no one will accept it
at first, there is still a difficulty in coming up with a reasonable
argument in favor of a particular non-zero value for the coins.

As an amusing thought experiment, imagine that Bitcoin is successful and
becomes the dominant payment system in use throughout the world.  Then the
total value of the currency should be equal to the total value of all
the wealth in the world. Current estimates of total worldwide household
wealth that I have found range from $100 trillion to $300 trillion. With
20 million coins, that gives each coin a value of about $10 million.

So the possibility of generating coins today with a few cents of compute
time may be quite a good bet, with a payoff of something like 100 million
to 1! Even if the odds of Bitcoin succeeding to this degree are slim,
are they really 100 million to one against? Something to think about...

They have good figures but I am not sure that they are realistic, many of them predicting those extremely high figures are just doing that because they know that is what people wants to hear, so they are just using it to create popularity for themselves.

Bitcoin has very promising future and we do not doubt that now that there is beginning to be a very high adoption from very great companies and very great individual, the dominance of bitcoin is also proving that has we are seeing lots of increase in the dominance of bitcoin, which shows that people are beginning to totally make use of bitcoin more than we think and this will hasten the supply of bitcoin to become limited while the demand will become higher which may lead to some of those predicted prices in future.

to be honest, I believe in all predictions about the price of Bitcoin and the future of cryptocurrencies,
when Bitcoin first appeared, only 0.1% of the earth's population believed that Bitcoin would be very valuable in the next 10 years,
and 0.1% of the population on earth is proven right, the price of Bitcoin first appeared around $ 0.01 and currently the price is $ 10000+

I see that slowly some of the big companies have adopted the cryptocurrency system, they see enormous opportunities in cryptocurrencies,
Paying bills, buying tickets and depositing to gambling accounts can now be done using the cryptocurrency,
I am very confident about the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies in the next 10 years.

I don't think one should blindly believe what someone said, regardless of its name, or the wealth which he owns. I also don't care about the opinions of those who speculate about $1 million BTC price, and at the same time, they cannot tell when the price will reach $50 000. More or less all these predictions are based on some personal feeling of the individual person, and it's mostly about copying others speculation.

If they know that the price of BTC can/will be $100 000 or $1 million in the next 5-10 years, why don't they invest all in BTC? They just guessing and play with numbers, and in case they are wrong, there is always an explanation as to why something did not come true.

Never invest more than you are willing to lose, no one can know for sure what will be in 5 years, let alone 2037...

I think Bitcoin will reach minimum 500k dollars in the future but it is hard to predict the time. But I am sure about one thing that Bitcoin has a bright future and we will see many bull runs.

people who are so vocal about predicting price are two groups in my opinion. the first are those who think of bitcoin as a cash cow that is giving their fiat a lot of profit over night and wish for it to make them millionaires. and others are opportunists who have started some sort of business (like an investment firm) and want more greedy newbies in the space so their business can thrive. your examples are from the latter group.

why do i think bitcoin will go up in value?
because the "value" of bitcoin is a lot higher than this considering its uniqueness and all the things that it offers. on top of that, with limited supply it is almost guaranteed to go up since we already have the increasing demand.

These are mere speculations. While I really want these to become a reality, but these speculators don't have substance to prove their speculations. So we must be using our own brain before cheering!

I think those price predictions will take a lot longer that some people here seem to be thinking, perhaps after 100 years...

You have to take into account the time that has passed since Bitcoin's inception. Follow the logarithmic curve, it gains value very fast the first years, and it starts slowing down as time passes. The more time passing, the slower the value gain.

Mining is compensating by doing the exact opposite, which is very interesting in itself.

If you think it took Bitcoin 10 years to reach 10k, you cannot think it needs 10 more years for the next 10k, because that would be a normal diagonal. No, in 10 years bitcoin has to gain less than 10k, even 9k is good, but can be less. Or you could say it needs more than 10 years to gain the next 10k in price.

So if after 10 (more) years price is 18k, you could say it took Bitcoin 20 years to reach 18k, the next 18k most take longer than 20 years, etc...

This is the future of Bitcoin, price increases will slow down until it becomes almost as boring as gold... It is a good asset to preserve value over government induced inflation, but don't see it in itself as a vehicle to become rich overnight. Only the very first enthusiasts who trusted and joined back then were able to do that.

I believe bitcoin predictions will start this coming new year. I dont lose hope for the promising price of bitcoin to hit 50k. Its like we're in a journey,we're coming up there its our time also to enjoy life with money. Because we can have our dream come true.We beleive bitcoin will recover soon.

My prediction for Bitcoin price is that Bitcoin can break a new record in 2020 by reaching a value between 25k and 30k dollars. After that I expect a retreatment to 15k dollars. After that, It can reach a new record like 50k dollars in a few years.

im not gonna make an overkill assessment of the price for btc, but 12K dollars is makeable at the end of the year, bitcoin price goes up
in 2017 because of the hype in the market and people also realize
that they can make money out of thin air, like what happen to btc, so people scrambling took time to invest and others takes advantage of the situation, pushing the price up, but if almost everyone adapts that is a different story we might be talking bigger price, but it will be also regulated im sure

My prediction for Bitcoin price is that Bitcoin can break a new record in 2020 by reaching a value between 25k and 30k dollars. After that I expect a retreatment to 15k dollars. After that, It can reach a new record like 50k dollars in a few years.

Seems reasonable and not that too high unlike the other predictions for long term. The possibility that we may reach all time high by next year is because there's an interesting event that will come which is the halving.

I have opinion with bitcoin price at the future, I think bitcoin only can take on $20,000, you can believe or not but everything depend on how situation of all country about allow bitcoin or not.

Everyone are free to make an speculation but i think too much big amount is far from reality. If last 2017 bitcoins value reached $20,000, I think after a couple of years it will double if the adoption of bitcoin continue to increase.
