I think you have to be careful when you want to invest in ethereum because I see ethereum price movements are very terrible and like there is no potential anymore, maybe there has been no good development or maybe investors have lost their trust in ethereum.

The ETH price is truly disappointing. While the BTC is able to recover from 4000$ to 10000$ ETH is still under 200$. Though it supposes to have strong potential but no real upward movement in the price. That's why people are losing their trading interest.

Because all investors are interested in profits and the only coin that is delivering profit is Bitcoin. All altcoins are just disappointing investors, so in my opinion they gave up on investing in the best altcoins including Ethereum.

The profitability of a business is what every business setting survive but you wrong when you said the investors are disappointed and gave up on the best altcoin which you included ethereum because the crypto market is always like this (accumulating more bitcoin than altcoins) when the bitcoin halving is around the corner but that doesn't mean they gave up on ethereum and other best altcoin.

Ethereum is a great project and the team has worked hard and traversed a journey of 4 long years. The has given its fight to get to top second in the crypto currency list.

Ill think ETH are not affected on that drop of altcoins being so long.
We know about ETH right and now its not a first time for us we see etherium drop the price, I know its is normal for ETH be drop a price sometimes.
ETH also its not the same from other altcoins that have no chance to recover again.
And yes we are truly said that we are really disappointed from altcoins for drop the price so much maybe in a future it will become a shitcoins holding in out wallet.

i had this same type question before man, and ill tell you what i was told.
Theres too much price suppression from the projects that took only eth in their ICOs : /
For example EOS, took in like 4 billion$, and most of it in ETH, so they have ALOT of Eth, and they are also a direct competitor some would say. Theres speculation they could dump ETH
Theres also miners, some people took out massive financial investments into mining and ETH is what they mine to recoup USD

The fight for the second spot has nothing to do with the project itself, I mean since their existence, only minor updates have been done, people are still complaining when the network gets clogged. And most likely the logical reason why Ethereum value is so down because no one is investing because of the long bearish trend. And as a result of that, whenever speculators see that spot to make money in Ethereum market, they will, buy doing shorting here. That's why the price is not going to increase and we will see resistance at every stop, just like today, $200 is always rejected.

Yeah I would trust that 70% figure and I would think it's even more than that, since devs aren't building tokens much on other platforms like Neo.  And yes, the tokens would require gas to send and so forth but that wouldn't *necessarily* drive up the price of Eth, just like increasing use of bitcoin to buy things doesn't drive up its price. 

I think the reason for that is that there's a relatively huge supply of Eth relative to what actually gets used, so it isn't enough to spike the demand and therefore the price, but that's my own thought and I could be wrong.  Anyway, Eth is sub $200, but that really isn't a bad price at all if you think about it.  By comparison Neo is trading at around $11 and many, many coins are well below that.  Eth is still #2 to bitcoin, remember.  That's an incredible feat for any coin, and I do think that it will probably begin growing again and will exceed its all time high within a couple of years.

Lots of people protested about ethereum prices that didn't go up, and thought ethereum was no longer potential. I wonder why can't be
patience, because I'm sure ethereum will rise and the price can return to the top. Nothing is impossible in this case. Now market conditions
are indeed worse, and almost all cryptocurrency experiences price reduction. But no need to panic and stress, indeed investing in cryptocurrency
has a high risk. The most important thing now we have to be patient in dealing with markets like this, if we appeal with other altcoins, ethereum
is still more superior and if you look at 2020 there is launching ETH 2.0 and halving bitcoin. Events like that can make ethereum prices going up.

No the ICO frauds and all were what caused ETH to go from $1400 to $80 back in 2018. Right now I am pretty sure a large portion of those ICO funds were already sold for BTC or fiat.

The stolen ETH as far as I know hasn't hit any of the other exchanges. ETH is like BTC and its easy to track the coins. If the tainted coins were sent to some exchange it would get flagged. This is very similar to why the ETC stolen coins are sitting around doing nothing. I think they sold like 5% of the coins and the rest is just sitting doing nothing since they are constantely being watched and any exchange they get sent too will just freeze the deposit.

The price is lagging because alot of alts are lagging. Only BTC is having a good year and people are sellings alts and buying BTC. ETH will pick up when we get some type of alt season, whenever that might be.

When prices decline like this, we as traders are required to be patient, like you are, I am very sure if eth will again be able to break through several resistance levels in the next few months, with the plan for ethereum to launch ethereum 2.0 in 2020 this will be make eth will be bullish again before 2020, no matter how small the issue of developments that occur in the world of cryptocurency will certainly affect the movement of altcoin prices in exchange, don't care whether its good news or bad news though.

Movement with the market is the only thing I see. The news is not affecting the price of ETH right now.

I think the price of ETH go low because of lots of people/ICO project stop using ETH. During the downtrend, lots of people dont even want to touch their account so there less demand on ETH chain. For others project that using ETH, Binance chain start to grow fast and lots of project start to leave ETH chain to move to Binance chain, this may help those project to get listed on Binance DEX. For those reason, i think ETH price is in the right value for it, not too much undervalue.

This is completely normal. You can buy ETH if you feel its value is low. In fact, the crypto market is always volatile and we do not know what they do and cannot value their businesses. For me, the price of ETH is still high compared to its real value and it's only low compared to bitcoin. why? because I realize that ethereum's platform is only a tool for new projects to be created but more than 90% are dead projects. so it doesn't bring any merits to our market, I underestimate ETH. so, how do you think about my opinion ?

From time to time I see posts in the forum about people that are confused about the very low price of ethereum but it is not as surprising as it may seem at first sight, the price of ethereum is going down because there is no demand for it.

Right now people want to hold bitcoin because they believe it is going to go up during the next years and not only they are investing fiat to buy it they are also exchanging their altcoins to get bitcoin and this is affecting the price of ethereum and if that was not enough people are not really interested in icos anymore which was one of the greatest sources for the demand for ethereum.
