What is Matic Network?

Matic Network is a Layer-2 scaling solution that achieves scale by utilizing sidechains for off-chain computation while ensuring asset security using the Plasma framework and a decentralized network of Proof-of-Stake (PoS) validators.

Matic strives to solve the scalability and usability issues while not compromising on decentralization and leveraging the existing developer community and ecosystem. Matic Network is an off/side chain scaling solution for existing platforms to provide scalability and superior user experience to DApps/user functionalities.

Introducing Matic Mitra

We’re excited to announce that Matic Network is officially launching our Matic Mitra Program. The primary objective of Matic Mitra will be to curate a global-wide initiative that empowers individuals in different international cities to further Matic Network’s engagement with local blockchain communities.

As some of you are aware, Matic Network is the leading blockchain project in India with almost 100% of Indian projects either already on Matic or are in the process of transitioning to Matic. This is not to say that Matic’s sole focus is on India.

What Responsibilities Will Matic Mitras Have?

The purpose of Matic Mitra is to raise awareness and expand Matic’s offline communities. Matic Mitras will be responsible for:

Engaging with the developer community in a targeted way
Educating the public and target enterprises about Matic Network
Establishing a network to invite others to represent Matic Network
Participate in/organize relevant conferences and meetups
Increase social media and mainstream media presence

Clear and transparent guidelines will be provided to each Matic Mitra to ensure that they act in the interest of the community. Matic Mitras will be provided with the resources needed to execute these initiatives successfully.

Who Are We Looking For?

Anyone is welcome to join our Matic Mitra Program! Based on all the responses and feedback from our community, we’ve noticed one of the strongest assets is our own community. We’re looking for a wide range of people with their own specialties & fields of interest. Ideally, a Mitra is one who already possesses comprehensive knowledge of Matic Network and the blockchain industry.

We understand that each person is different and more comfortable in certain settings. The Matic team would like to accommodate all types of community members. With this in mind, we’ve created a range of responsibilities for our Matic Mitras. They include:

Community Representation:

Organizing local meetups in their respective location
Coordinate with other local community members to plan these events
Ensure a well-planned event to maximize a strong turnout with local communities
Meetups may take place at local parks, campuses, coffee shops, etc.
Mitras will submit a detailed proposal with itinerary and resources needed for the event for approval
Mitras are encouraged to attend local crypto/blockchain conferences as speakers/visitors
Speak to speakers, panelists, and attendees to spread the word about Matic
Engage with relevant businesses that may benefit from building on Matic
Representing as a spokesperson for Matic Mitra

Social Media:

Mitras that represent Matic Network by engaging with the online community
Responsible for growing and educating the online community about Matic
Must be familiar with all social platforms such as – Twitter, Telegram, Reddit, LinkedIn, etc.
Create articles, videos, or visual content for various social platforms
Reach out to influencers/publications to get Matic featured on their platforms

Dapp Projects Outreach

Reach out to established Dapp projects and offer the chance to migrate onto Matic chain
Reach out to emerging Dapp projects to run crowdsale on Matic with Matic tokens

Compensation Grading Structure

Plan and host community meetup
Earn up to $1,000
To earn $1,000 in rewards, community meetup must meet the following criteria:
- At least 250 confirmed attendees
- 4.5/5 star feedback received from attendees
- Convert a prospect into a lead
To earn $800 in rewards, community meetup must meet the following criteria:
- At least 200 attendees
- 4/5 star feedback received from attendees
- Generate a hot lead
- A hot lead is defined as a developer/project who explicitly commits to building on top of Matic Network
To earn $600 in rewards, community meetup must meet the following criteria:
- At least 150 attendees
- 4/5 star feedback received from attendees
- Generate two warm leads
- A warm lead is defined as a developer/project who is interested in learning more about how to build on top of Matic
To earn $400 in rewards, community meetup must meet the following criteria:
- At least 100 attendees
- 4/5 star feedback received from attendees
- Generate a warm lead
- A warm lead is defined as a developer/project who is interested in learning more about how to build on top of Matic
To earn $200 in rewards, community meetup must meet the following criteria:
- At least 50 attendees
- 3.5/5 star feedback received from attendees
- Generate a warm lead

- Establishing a roadmap for types of events that will be hosted
- Speaker keynotes, developer workshops, and networking engagements

Earn up to $600
- $300 will be rewarded for active engagement with local governments, evaluated on a case-by-case basis with the Matic team
- $150 will be rewarded for active engagement with enterprises, evaluated on a case-by-case basis with the Matic team
- $100 will be rewarded for active engagement with universities, evaluated on a case-by-case basis with the Matic team
- $50 will be rewarded for active engagement with thought leaders in the space, evaluated on a case-by-case basis with the Matic team
- Please note Mitras have the opportunity to earn Level 1, 2, 3, & 4 rewards in a single event for a total of $600 in $MATIC tokens.

Earn up to $1,000
To earn $1,000, the following criteria must be met:
- Convert a high-scale prospect lead to migrate Dapp onto Matic chain AND fundraise crowd sale on Matic with Matic tokens
- A high-scale prospect is defined as a Dapp project that has established their project and has gained traction with a large following
To earn $850, the following criteria must be met:
