So Warren Buffet is anti-cryptocurrency because he is the single most invested person in the current system. (One reason I think Justin Sun is an idiot.. Buffet isn't going to change his mind)
But just found it very interesting watching the Bill Gates netflix tutorial and Buffet is saying that they are good friends AND that the bill gates foundation is heavily invested into Berkshire Hathaway since they own roughly half of Buffet's stock in the company...
Funny how most of the anti-cryptocurrency people are heavily invested in the current system if you look closely...

If you understand the way Warren Buffett invests, you'll realize why he doesn't like bitcoin--it's not a business, doesn't have earnings, doesn't pay a dividend, and is totally at the mercy of market forces (unlike a stock which can gain in value if the underlying business grows). Plus he doesn't view bitcoin as solving any of his problems. He's a value investor. Always was and will be until the day he dies.
As far as Gates is concerned, I don't know exactly what he's said about cryptocurrency but my guess is that he doesn't have to invest in it and, because it's so damn volatile, would probably lose a hell of a lot of money if he did. Ultra-wealthy people tend to try to protect their wealth instead of gambling on high-risk investments. I think at least Gates has an appreciation of bitcoin and the technology behind it, but it's just not something he needs in his portfolio.

You can't manipulate Bitcoin the way you can manipulate stocks. Old people like Soros know that well and made their fortunes manipulating governments destabilizing economies. They've been doing that to bitcoin too from the shadows.
Paying off a national tv station is a big move and compared to it paying for an article on some bitcoin outlet is nothing.
For people like Buffet bitcoin is too risky. They can buy bonds and make millions on it so why would they play in the internet. They're too old for it.

That is not incorrect, as bitcoin is simply another type of value, but not a source of value making by itself. Its like buying gold or oil, or perhaps euros or yens. People should not invest in bitcoin thinking they can live of that later. This is the wrong mentality, and will prove into assured failure, especially as time passes this becomes more and more evident (maturity). You have to find something to invest with that will bring you value. Now that value, instead of being USD could be bitcoin. See? its just a coin by itself, not the source of them. However, this old types might also refuse to touch it at all, even if they could immediately change it into fiat, for whatever dogmatic reasons. And that is WRONG. Treat it like you would treat any foreign money that can be freely exchanged without any conditions. Of course they have every right to decide where to invest and where not, its their money, so its their problem.

I don't think that it's as simple as that, because with this mindset nothing has value outside of stocks, and this is obviously not how anyone who knows at least something about economics. He probably just doesn't understand the technology, and doesn't share any of Bitcoin's values like decentralization and peer-to-peer value transfers. To him Bitcoin enthusiasts sound just like some crazy anarchists.

Probably Warren Buffet favors a more traditional investment. It is his forte and probably he thinks if he ventures out of his field, he might end up losing millions of dollar. He is after those investment that is secured by the law probably to safeguard him from the possible fraud or a company that will fly over night. Seeing cryptocurrency as a bubble, for sure he will distance himself from these kind of investment.

Buffet and Bill Gates have done their big parts and both already stamp their feet in the sound of times this is true. But you see, our generation is different from theirs, and they are both wondering about the bitcoin, how it keeps making young generation richer than Buffet had imagine Bill Gates may be secretly supporting bitcoin.

First of all, Warren Buffet avoids investing in technology stocks because he doesn't like to invest in something he doesn't understand - you can't blame the old man. What's more, cryptocurrencies aren't stocks with price-to-earnings ratio. So, how do you measure a coin's value without knowing its market demand and price?

I think that for Buffet and Gates, their way of running the business is correct and safe, they do not need to assume high percentages of risks such as those offered by Bitcoin and Crypto Market. Warren Buffet is an investment expert, all his tips are useful even if they apply to the Bitcoin market, where the stock market moves very slowly, instead Bitcoin volatility makes the market very dynamic and has stages that represent Much instability In Warren Buffet's books, it is aimed at investment, discovering actions that have a secure fundamental period, this can be applied unequivocally to bitcoin, by owning Bitcoin, it only remains to wait as long as necessary to enjoy the profits.

Not everyone will be on board for the financial instruments of the future. Crypto-currency really disrupts the financial sector. Imagine if someone like Buffet or Gates decides to go all in on buying crypto, it would create a massive pump for the market, now imagine them selling there load to offset any loss, the markets would crash from the dumps. It might be a good thing these big wigs aren't investing right away. Take it or leave it!

Warren buffet as we all know was one of the successful tycoon businessman. If He said something against with cryptocurrency maybe He just want to save his left wealth and don't want to lose it, instead He is just securing his fund remaining wealth. Since He has the power of influence He used it as much as He can. While Bill gates doing the same thing I guess, but who knows since they're both investors expert they probably might investing into crypto secretly, but this is just a thought.

Who knows, they are experience businessmen that knows when to seize an opportunity, if they haven't pick interest on crypto yet is because something is holding them back, maybe they don't agree with the way it is operating at the moment, men with such money would want to invest in a regulated business and not an unregulated market like crypto, they understand business that's why they are successful, I think the crypto environment is not yet conducive enough for them.

They are very old so it maybe hard for them to accept something new.
Since you said they are invested heavily with the currency system they will be is huge loss if people move to cryptos that is one reason why they keep the people stay with the old.

Oh,really? You can't manipulate the bitcoin price? There are many evidences that the bitcoin price has been manipulated many times by the crypto whales during the past 6 years.Crypto exchanges can manipulate the price by fake trading volumes.Whales can manipulate the price by pump&dump. Buffet and Gates are way too wealthy and smart and they realize that bitcoin is still a promising project, surrounded with a lot of hype.It still has to grow and improve and it will face many obstacles.

I think there is no single answer to the question of investments of these two people. The op mentioned that they invested a lot in the current system, which is true. In a way, they can feel protective of the sources of their income and see bitcoin as a threat. But other factors can include them being conservative, not willing or needing to risk with all the money they already have. Moreover, they can genuinely not see the long-term potential of Bitcoin, and who knows, they might end up being right. People who have strong opinions are not likely to change them. Instead of focusing on them, we should promote Bitcoin to those who are not sure what to think yet.

Just ignore them if they are anti cryptocurrency because we do not know why they are anti-cryptocurrency in reality. But even that people who are populat in the world hate crypto they still have people aho are famous or popular are accepting and believing in the cryptocurrency. Maybe someday Bill Gates and Buffet change their thinking about cryptocurrency.

we can ignore them but what am i afraid of is the other users .what if they will panic because of this anouncement ? its still verry alarming if influencial people make claims like this no matter if its fake or legit . even that people who are populat in the world hate crypto they still have people aho are famous or popular are accepting and believing in the cryptocurrency. Maybe someday Bill Gates and Buffet change their thinking about cryptocurrency.
thats true . not all are haters but few are still crypto enthusiasts . the price can still recover or grow becuase of thier help . if countries like china have change from banning to unbanning cryptos , people like bill and bufet can also change and will probably accept cryptos if they are really an anti crypto
