What are people using for building up channel capacity? Do you just send yourself sats from one wallet to another... or do you use "Loop In/Out" etc? Huh
I used to use CoinPlaza.it to transfer from LN to on-chain, but (on-chain) fees aren't really worth it anymore for small amounts. An alternative is to convert it to Dogecoin, the minimum is 0.24 mBTC for 1000 Doge.
Another alternative is Phoenix Wallet: it opens a channel on it's own, and gives you incoming capacity.

Tricky question.

Like Loyce I *was* using coinplaza, but their TX fees shot up, so I haven't done much lately.  That being said, the Blue wallet you can have (seemingly) unlimited inbound and outbound capacity for LN transactions, so I could possibly empty my funds from my Eclair Wallet, send the lot to Blue and then send it back as an on-chain TX to Eclair and open one super large channel in much the same way I did with the channels I currently have on Eclair.

I haven't tried Phoenix, so I might try that one as well.

I'm going to bump this now but I'll open a few channels with electrum and test how that works as well as my standard éclair.

Should be available for 10 hours...

Please note, this request is for 0.0025, not $25.

If you prefer I send first, that's ok too.

I'll be on for the next hour to ensure I repay.

Ywah I think you were right about not being able to root as much, are the nodes you're connected to quite well connected on the node explorer or have you been trying to connect to random nodes? In the other thread there was a graph of the best connected "top layer" nodes.

I'll have to check who/where I'm connected to on my Eclair wallet (am pretty sure ACINQ is the one with the 0.025 channel) none of my wallets have ever shown up on 1ml.com which I put down to an ever changing I.P. through my ISP.

I'm opening a channel with acinq, I'll be back in (exactly) half an hour to do the transfer in case you're having to leave éclair open or something.

Hey thanks, am still here.  (and yes, my mobile phone just doesn't like keeping anything running once the screen goes blank).  Undecided

I got a confirmation, it's paid!

Return invoice:
Code:
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

I'm using electrum on my computer so I assume it has normal power managment - so there's not too much of a rush...

I might potentially have a capaicty issue though.

Payment received - I've been attempting to send back to you - both Blue and Eclair don't seem to work, but that I mean blue comes up with the error message:

Quote
Alert:

API error: Payment failed. Does the receiver have enough inbound capacity? ( code 10 )

That's pretty much the same error I get when I try to shift the funds.

I dialed the payment down in steps from 250,000 to 90,000 but keep getting that same error.

On Eclair, if I change the payment amount, I get an error the hash is incorrect while the actual payment request gives "ten attempts" and no channels open to the recipient.

I'll keep trying.  Worst comes to the worst will you accept an on-chain repayment?

DONE! sent via Eclair (am back to where I started from)  Undecided

I think i've received them? Electrum has an inbuilt function to add capacity and that seemed to work...

I might have to look into that wallet (if it has a PC or Android wallet)  -  I'm still unsure how to recover the funds lost in the Zap wallet. (but that's a horror story for another night)

Not sure what the bback-end for Blue Wallet is - no open channels, but it accepted all that I sent its way (getting them back is proving problematic)

Back for 4 hours if anyone wanted to give the lightning network a try. I'll be here again in a few days too...
