Hi I'm new to cryptocurrency investment. But recently I just realize that most of the crypto exchange platform didn't support Malaysia like Luno (Stop purchase bitcoin from credit card service), Coinbase...  So the only option left is Remitano and Localbitcoin. Would like to ask is there any other cheapest way to buy bitcoin in Malaysia?  Embarrassed

This link still has Luno in it but you can find more options
https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/malaysia/

You may try mycelium for low fees but not sure if you can find a lot of sellers.

Got several options for you:
1. Abra[1]
2. Wirex[2]
3. Numoney[3]

Paxful is also an alternative as long as you don't mind the price differences. Abra has a flat fee of $1o below $200 withdrawal and 4% if you withdraw more than $200. No info about Numoney.

Localbitcoin will be the cheapest for you,you can find the bitcoin offers near to the market price value which is extremely better offer compared to buy bitcoin with credit cards.

I think buying at Localbitcoins is not safe as it involves peer to peer interactions. There are many scam reports about that on various platforms. You can buy cryptos with credit or debit card on exchanges that is supported in Malaysia. There are many exchanges that supports buying with credit/debit card in Malaysia - CEX.io, Changelly, Coinmama, Coinswitch etc. If you want to buy at the cheapest price then compare the fees charged at different exchanges and buy at the best rate.

You can buy Bitcoin online at one of the "cantors", I often use this one: buycoinnow.com and this is the best way of buying Bitcoin in my opinion. This whole process is very quick and simple so don't worry. You can pay with your credit or debit card.

Had never had of the site you have just reffered before... but if they are really legit then the price range/spread is way too big. Bitcoin right now is trading slight below $8500 but this chaps' website states 9K

I believe OP is looking for a much cheaper option too, that's why he/she is avoiding Remitano and Localbitcoins

Speaking from personal experience, your best option would be Over-The-Counter Market (OTC) , or at least this is how things used to be when I was in Malaysia , there are a lot of miners there and they always seek to sell their bitcoin to pay power bills or get their "Nasi Lemak" , Telegram,Facebook etc.. is where you can meet those people, in fact even websites like mudah.my can help you find good sources.

and of course, I can't stress enough on how many scammers are there, so make sure you do your own due diligence and always try to have a face-to-face transaction in public places like a mall or a bank.

keep in mind that it's very unlikely that you are going to find any source who does 100% market price, you usually have to pay  0.5-2% above market price, depending on the quantity, in extreme cases where your order is really large, you could even buy bitcoin for a little discount, but in general it will cost you less than all the other suggestions.

There's no other choice other than Peer-to-Peer and both parties trust one another.

Unless you don't mind margin trading which you can control BTC from a small amount, but you don't own them.

Never tried on OTC in Malaysia, only through some close friends. Other than that, i usually have to use Remitano for the quickest way to cash out from crypto.

I guest still a long way for crypto-to-fiat conversion in Malaysia.

With only 3 legalized entities there, Malaysia's miles behind Singapore when it comes to new technology adoption.

BNM's just being too paranoid.

I believe OP is looking for a much cheaper option too, that's why he/she is avoiding Remitano and Localbitcoins

That's why he should avoid the ATMs you mentioned previously:
https://coinatmradar.com/city/83/bitcoin-atm-kuala-lumpur/
Quote
Buy: 10.3%, Sell: 10.4%

Anything over 5% is robbery

Also, looking at other solution in the reviews they share the same problem:

Quote
Some of the highest fees among credit/debit card bitcoin brokers
Slightly to significantly higher prices than regular exchanges; premium for higher privacy
Very bad rates for buying and selling
Bitcoin ATMs often have 5-10% fees per purchase
