Recently I came across a BTC cashback project.  It was proposed to put an app on the browser.  The app link redirected to its page in the Google Play, which didn't look too suspicious.

Those guys explained the receipt of a cashback by the presence of their own mining capacities that process users transactions.

So, I'm asking for your opinion, if it's a scam or not? If it is, maybe someone knows really existing bitcoin cashback services?

Care to share the name of the extension and app?
Because there are indeed legit BTC cashback services that haven't received any major scam accusations yet.

Those guys explained the receipt of a cashback by the presence of their own mining capacities that process users transactions.
The one that you're talking about doesn't sound real;
'Coz the explanation is quite sketchy, it looks like another jumbled Cloud mining scam plastered with gimmicks.

What do you mean cashback services?

If you mean cashback services similar to the loyalty programs that credit cards offer, I think there are a few legit services around, but I have no personal experience with those so I can't make any recommendations.

If you mean cashback services as in reverting a Bitcoin transaction -- that's not possible. Or rather, it would require an obscene amount of hash power and likely crash Bitcoin's price due to being a high profile attack. So if that's what the App is offering it's definitely a scam.

There's such a service in the Romanian subforum. But that one, at least in the explications on how it works, sounds good: they use ref links, get referral cash for what the user buys and from that the user gets some satoshi as cashback. That's the normal recipe for cashback.

Instead, the mining-related sketchy explanations OP has shown, sound extremely suspicious. Mining is not cashback. Mining on Android (if that's what happens for OP) would drain the battery, would slow down the device and will earn (lees than) peanuts. And it's not related to shopping, like cashback would be.

The only other cashback extension-type app I've seen recently would be the Lolli Chrome extension, though I've never personally used it and the thread I was able to find about it is dated to April of this year (click here for link). I'd also be extremely suspicious of the mining-related feature that the extension you found claims to utilize; we'd be able to analyze the project you're describing in more detail if you'd link us to it or even simply provide us with a link to anything related to it, though. If it's new, though, I wouldn't mess around with it. Too risky most of the time when a new project offers something like that.

Sounds like a scam to me.
Big enough player that could have so big mining power to be able to process transaction in timely manner would announce this official way.
If they are not, its a scam.

There are legit cashback programs paying BTC and they tend to become more popular. But before installing any app always look for references, reviews.
Cashback programs have nothing to do with mining, they are partnerships of apps and stores for advertising and loyalty rewards.

I know these ones:

https://www.lolli.com
https://getpei.com
https://cashback.coingolive.com

I'm not sure about their availability, I believe only lolli is global.

We can't tell if it's scam or not since you didn't release any details about the app, you can drop the app name or even the app link so that it can be reviewed.

Tell us what's that service.

If they can show proof that they are legit with that mining facility they have but most of those descriptions were just decoy and used to gain users and likely to scam people.

I see only one way to get cashback from miners. You need to give them a signed transaction and they will include it in their block, and part of the fee will be returned as a reward.
Theoretically, in practice, I have not seen this.
But I do not know if these few cents are of interest to anyone now with such low fee.
On the other hand when the fee is high, then the blocks are respectively completely filled without any cashbacks.
And the confirmation time grows because you need to wait for the block from this miner.

If you're the US, I think "Honey" is the best bet.

Why should cashback be from mining operations when they get a cut from every sale?

So the extension routes your tx exclusively through their mining operation and they somehow give you some of the tx fee back?

Never heard of anything like that before and since fees are so low it's not as if there'll be much to give back to you, that's unless they somehow massively increase them just for you. They're probably nobodies too so will never actually get to process a transaction anyway.

Sounds like a crock of shit to me.
