Guys I just want to ask if someone knows alternatives for chrome remote desktop because lately the chrome remote desktop not working anymore everytime I try to connect with my Android Phone the screen shows black only arow shows in the background.

Also, I have problem when connecting before the mining rig always stuck or freezing so everytime the miner freeze I reset or forcing it to shutdown and turning on again. It always fixes the issue but the miner always stuck. I don't know what is the reason. I heard its because of the latest windows 10 update but I already remove them and fix the issue before but right the issue back without windows update. Any help, please...

And I hope someone could suggest if what good alternative for chrome remote desktop for free. Thanks.

There's TeamViewer, there's AnyDesk, there is a lot of software Google returns as alternative to teamviewer, but imho those pose a (bigger or smaller) security risk, although since you already use Windows, may have no issues with this risk. And there are the various flavors of VNC, where, since you install the server onto your windows, it should be safer (in theory).

Which miner freeze? Which cards do you use? Some more infos please.
You are using HDMI dongle´s or have a screen on every rig?

Use Anydesk to connect to your rigs.

If your using Cudo Miner it has a webapp (that can be used on your mobile device) that gives you full remote miner management of each of your devices down to gpu overclocking and custom configurations.

My plan is to use it on Smartphones (Android OS) where I can access the mining rig outside in my home so that I can monitor and remote the rig. Is these two that you recommend can be used while you are away from your home?

Teamviewer is solid and free. Just make sure you aren't using it from an IP other people are because they will suspect you're doing it for commercial use and blacklist your device.

Then you get hit with a time limit on your connections. Other than that it works very well and I've personally used it for years.

+1 for Teamviewer since it's pretty solid. The above poster is right and the only thing you should watch for is getting blacklisted for commercial use.
So as much as possible, login from the same remote device, if even possible, from the same remote connection.

If you ever do get black listed it isn't so bad since you still get to connect for 5 minutes and do your thing before getting disconnected. Enough time for miner restarts and routine things you need to do for mining.

My best choices are here

- cloudberry
- realVNC
- join.me

But my question is have tried to use your windows remote desktop? I thought that it will be much safer than use 3rd software like what you are looking for, dude.

What do you mean by this?

This is the reason why I'm looking for other alternatives because I can only access my rig with limited time unlike before.

I'm going to try VNC but before I install this on my rig and phone let me know who already use this for mining rig if this is safe for our crypto or not?

VNC is safe. I've used it before. Besides, i don't think you need to be opening files containing your private keys when restarting/configuring miner, right?  Wink

With regards to teamviewer, what he means is that you need to limit the number of different IP addresses you use to connect to your remote computer. If you access your remote computer from your office, your friend's house, your mobile data while driving, etc. It will increase the chance of teamviewer thinking that you are using teamviewer commercially and therefore your access will get limited. If you want to remotely administer your rig, try as much as possible to only do it from your office connection, for example.

I always use RealVNC - it's extremely stable and light unlike RDP
Also I suggest you completely disable windows updates and other shit in Group Policy editor

And as an added bonus you may consider using these as well: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/pstools
You can do some serious stuff with pstools as it allows you to connect as System. I've once recovered remotely a machine where head Vega GPU was getting constantly stuck in a buggy driver due to wrong PPT applied Smiley

Microsoft has an official rdp client for Android and it runs great, I actually use it on Chromebooks for remoting into windows machines. Definitely give this route a try as you're going through the least number of third party services as well.

Cool didn't know that, but . how does one go about "this route" of connecting microsoft rdp to Android? And also more importantly, what is the advantage of using this compared to solutions that work right out of the box (like TeamViewer or VNC).

what are you talking about? you don't go "connecting microsoft rdp to Android" there's an RDP client for android by MS that allows you to connect to windows machines over RDP. you'd need the host to be available on external ip(forward ports)/or have vpn running... but its same with vnc

The best app to manage rigs in distance,Windows machines is Anydesk. You can install it on your Android phone and connect to all your devices without problems, you have to give your mining rigs and alias and set up a password for unattended setup when you first Anydesk in your rigs. This is as simple as 1 2 3.

Ohw... I just tried it to search about this and it seems that this is also a good option, however, I don't understand if this client for windows 10 will work outside I mean on the different network. Does it look like it only works on a local connection?

Well, already tried the VNC and I think I stay a bit more with this app it's working fine to me and no limitation, unlike Teamviewer. Once I notice some issue using VNC I switch to RDP client for android and hope it won't be stuck while browsing the same what happened to chrome RDP.
