Don't know how to put this but I'll try. So lets say your fav club is about playing against a tougher club which on paper they're far better than your club but in your inner most mind you want your club to win therefore, when it comes to placing a bet, which club will you go far. Will you risk losing the bet to back your team winning that match, when you know the chances of them succeeding are almost impossible but since it's football anything is possible or will you bet against you club winning that match but while the match is ongoing you'll be routing for your club to win (in other words routing for yourself to lose your bet)?

How do you balance the emotion of wanting your club to win but not ready to lose your bet in the toughest of games.

It's going to be depressing, so free yourself from this situation by not betting against your team, I have never done that in my sports betting when my team is facing a very strong team I just don't bet and cheer for my team unless I am comfortable betting against my favorite team.

if their foe is a strong team that i know , i will decide to not bet for that round but i will continue to cheer on my favorite team  . i can support them by watching on thier games from start  to finish   .

  on a diferent scenario let say my fav team versus to unkown team ,  i will place my bet on my team no matter what odds are being shown   . win or loose i will accept the results  and there is no one to blame here not even them or myself because its a gambling anyways  .

Big club sometime have chance to lose, and that is why i lose in game. Usually i have big expectation from clun that i like. I very like big club to support because beside they are famous, they sometime easy to predicted although only small odds i pick them. But not always win.

You are in a gambling activities so it's important to know the factors that will lead you to win, there's no room for emotions if you afraid of losing your money, the lesser the risk in terms of stats the better to place your money. Though most of the time it's really tempting to bet with your favorite club
and try your luck as most of the time the odds is higher if the opponents is tough to defeat. but if you're done with your homework and you are  convince that advantage are favoring the opposing team, better to bet against your will.

I will definitely go for the better club.
I will support my club and bet for the better club for the sake of my hard earned money but if it is a small bet, I will risk betting against the better sode.
People don't always get too emotional when it comes to money unless they have alot of money to waste.

Only two things you bet with the best team to win and forgetting your bet and cheering for your team, you bet and you cheer for your favorite team because there's always an upset, and who knows your best team win and you also win in your bet, that's two birds in one stone.

Maybe choosing the best team will be better to prevent losing money. We can support them and bet for them, but if you think you want to bet for your favorite team, then that will be okay too. You need to prevent the emotion come to you and destroy everything because once you lose control, then the next thing that you can get is losing the money while you will hard to recover. I usually don’t bet whenever my favorite team is going against a team that is on a roll lately, and whenever I do, I only do that on finals matches or elimination matches where I can take the result whatever it is, be it my loss or my profit. It's going to be depressing, so free yourself from this situation by not betting against your team, I have never done that in my sports betting when my team is facing a very strong team I just don't bet and cheer for my team unless I am comfortable betting against my favorite team.

Of course this is very sad, I have experienced this when my favorite team played, When Liverpool coach are Brendan rodgers, kenny dalglish, and some coaches. at that time liverpool did not have a good season, did not have a good game, often lost and draw, and of course It will be very risky if you remain determined to gamble for Liverpool to win. yeah its better not to gamble when you see your favorite team doesn't have a big chance of win.

Very emotional gambler here when it comes to my club, and I've really enjoyed the experience. I didn't bet much on my actual home team as I supported them throughout my childhood and late teens until I moved away and couldn't watch them. I don't bet on them at all now because I don't even really know enough to make educated bets.

But betting on Liverpool since the 2000s (noughties is it?)? Very good outcomes. Especially during european campaigns, we've more than done enough to dent the giants of football... and when underdogs take on giants? I make it a rule not to bet against my team. I support one of the best teams in the world, so there is a little chance that any other team would be far favorites against them.

You want to earn profit from gambling so if I get to decide in your place I would choose the team that has a higher chance of winning. If you really support your favorite team you will bet your money without thinking of any returns. You trust them whatever team they will face.

Sample of this is Manny Pacquiao vs any of his opponent before. Many still bet on pacquiao because he has a higher chance of winning. Even the fans of his opponent bet on him.

Many years ago my Juventus played against Deportivo La Coruna in the UEFA CL in Spain. That was the first and only time I bet against my team. It felt really wrong watching the match and see Depotivo taking the lead and also scoring a 2nd goal but not being happy about it. Life is precious as money to me personally, having to place a bet on my team which I know will not win a game against the giant is a total waste of fund and energy. Personally, if it's about money, i won't let emotions get in the way. If the chances are overwhelmingly on other side, most of the time I'd bet on them. Consider it as a consolation for the team that you're rooting for getting beaten. In case my team wins, then I won't mind losing a few bucks for the exultation that i'll get for the win.
