I recently started margin trading on Bitmex  but The liquidation notifications i always see are usually in form contracts that the person was longing or shorting.
How do you people tell the actual amount that got liquidated off an individual without even knowing what leverage the person used?

The data is being pulled straight from Bitmex without giving an option of showing the actual leverage.
