I use Bitcoin every once in a while to buy products, mostly electronics such as computer parts and whole computers, from sites like Newegg, and it works just as well as if I were to be paying with a debit or credit card. The main difference is just waiting for my funds to confirm, which usually doesn't take very long. Steam also used to accept Bitcoin, though they no longer do and I have to buy Steam gift cards from sites like Bitrefill (click for direct link) which do the job just fine, and processing is very quick besides waiting for confirms just like with Newegg. I still hold the majority of my stash in cold storage, but I still do spend some of it from time to time with ease.
