Source : The 7 Biggest Technology Trends In 2020 Everyone Must Get Ready For NowBlockchain is the only thing on the list that most people really do not know to be fair. Most people, even those that are laymen in the tech world know of at least the possible existence of AI's and such. This should really place Blockchain technology on the forefront of the world and hopefully push people into believing in the effectiveness of it, thereby placing crypto as well into a favorable place which is really great news imo.

I think 5G and Blockchain technology are the most talked trends of this year 2019. Huawei 5G vs. U.S Government issues and how China reacts about the issue and so on. For Blockchain technology, I think that would last for a very long time because it is the backbone technology behind bitcoin (the most popular crypto) and the other cryptocurrencies as well.

The US Government allegations against Huawei has been the most talked thing about the 5G technology and with the blockchain technology it seems to be almost being implemented by almost every company since Satoshi invented it. I am looking forward to AI but am a bit skeptical about the whole thing and my skepticism allhas to do with movies that i have watched.

I am ready to see the Expo2020 and Bitcoin halving. These both are most of expected things for me personally. Usually for my vacation I use to go to Dubai so that is the reason I choose this as the option. Then Bitcoin halving is the most expected thing for all the people. I expect the 20k USD in the coming halving time.

I filtered out the topics that I feel would cause a significant impact upon its implementation and application to different sectors. Firstly, artificial intelligence as a service. Mark Cuban tweeted about replacing expensive labor to robotics in order to lower the expenses into labor-driven countries such as China. If companies were to replace labor with AI and people would be instead managing and reviewing the robots, this would potentially be beneficial in the economy. Second, Autonomous driving. This may sound irrelevant but we are approaching innovation towards the driving system. What once thought as impossible is now slowly materializing from our control. An implementation of this program may potentially lower accidents in driving caused by reckless drivers. Third, personalized and predictive medicine. In our age, noting is more important than our health and welfare. If we were to be sick, this would hamper everything including one's plans and goals set for the rest of the year. Lasty, the blockchain technology. Unfortunately, people are looking at the other side of the spectrum whenever they use bitcoin. Superficially, most are only enjoying its relatively volatile price in the market without even understanding the potential of the blockchain once implemented in our daily transactions. Imagine a world where everything can be seen publicly in a ledger which is unalterable. This would eliminate the doubts we have in the business sector and this would expose their every movement of manipulation and control.

1) It's already in practice if I'm not wrong. 2) 5G data networks already exist in South Korea. Well, it would be nice if other countries implement this too. 3) Isn't this already a thing? I mean Google did have prototypes of that back then. And not only that Autonomous Driving doesn't always mean literally Driving, but also when a car is installed to Brake/Stop if a certain condition has been met, it's already considered as Autonomouse Driving. 4) Now, this is new to me. 5) It's happening now actually. The younger generation is already experiencing this and tends to make them smarter, as it is its initial intention. 6) I think this will take more years of development until we can thoroughly utilize it. 7) Surprise!

Blockchain technology, 5G network and AI, this 3 trends are already evolving, blockchain is the reason why we are all here in this forum, i have seen news about 5G network and Huawei phones on the internet, AI will also be widely use in near future, we can already see some part of it from apps like google assistant, bixby app that can assist you to do certain things by just voicing it out, and i have seen on YouTube that auto driving car, the car just literally does all the driving and navigation and the passenger just seat back and enjoy the ride, it was really fascinating at the same time looks expensive so yeah, this trends will evolve rapidly in 2020 and years to come.

Each and everything mentioned were completely associated with the technology based development and someway each gets associated with the other by some means. Source : The 7 Biggest Technology Trends In 2020 Everyone Must Get Ready For NowAI and 5G are the most talked about at the moment while blockchain technology followed, 5G is more relevant because of the vast users of mobile phones while AI is taken over human jobs, although blockchain adoption is growing at a slower pace compared to the other two of course its potentials if fully utilized can create a lot of opportunities while I see more adoptions and its user base, its a obviously a good news that blockchain is counted among the trend an indication of its relevance to the society.

In continuation to your reply, I would like to add that blockchain technology is often a very misunderstood one! A lot of people link it with cryptocurrency immediately upon hearing the word. And since cryptocurrency has a questionable reputation as per law, people immediate start taking it in a little different way! The good part is that the situation is changing slowly but surely! The more and more corporations adopt it in their tools, will surely have a positive effect in the mind of people!

This forum is called Bitcointalk, not blockchaintalk. Satoshi didn't create blockchain so that corporations could improve their own private networks, it was just one part of Bitcoin's protocol, never meant to be taken away from it and used on its own. Blockchain only became a thing because Bitcoin's price exploded, and some people decided to profit off its popularity, by saying that there is a new technology that can be applied everywhere, but actually it's all just a vaporware.

It sounds nice in theory, but I'm not convinced. The only way a blockchain can truly be transparent and immutable is if it has independent nodes all around the world run by people who are adequately incentivised to keep the chain secure. So the problem is twofold: a) What company would even consider launching a decentralised blockchain where their customers are responsible for maintaining the ledger? And b) What would be the incentive be for ordinary people to start securing blockchains for lots of different companies? Otherwise it's just a private database the company can alter at will if they control all the nodes. It's just a database. It can be manipulated.

Blockchains have merit on their own. They'll usually have to be coupled with a 'monetary' unit (this is why Bitcoin works). We are yet to truly recognise the power blockchains have in private settings (or somehow a "private branch" through Bitcoin - the most reliable as it is today)

We are already started the breakthrough of AI. There's Alexa, Siri and also Sophia. Actually for me the world is getting ridiculous as far as it revolves, imagine they grant Sophia, which is only a robot (no matter how smart it is), a Saudi Arabian citizenship? Like WTH, so creepy! Well, I just really hope they will remain helpful to us and not like what happens in sci-fi where they start an invasion and cause the human mass extinction in the future . About the 5G Network, do you think it's really safe to use? I asked because I had a glimpse of an article before saying that the radiation coming from it (gamma rays AFAIR) is already harmful for us. What do you think? [/list]

If not for blockchain and btc there won't be a bitcointalk forum I hope you know that, or tell me before the coming of blockchain and btc was there a bitcointalk forum? Before you start trying to highlight words you should learn to read between the lines and understand deeply what it conote, Again there is only one reason why we are all here, it is left for you to brainstorm, and your discussion is very far from my point.

everything has hype and all those other technologies do too but unfortunately among them, blockchain technology has been mostly hype and so little "actual technology"! so far we have seen a lot of attention being paid to this technology but 90% of this attention goes into how to create wealth for the creators of such projects instead of going into innovation and problem solving or to return some product that could be used in real world.
take this recent hype with Facebook. they are using blockchain technology and creating a new token but there is nothing new about it. it is the same technology being used under a different name and in a centralized way. so what is the product? only filling the pockets of this company with more money and increasing their control!

It just goes to show where the interest of the majority are, like you said, only the monetary aspect is what bring people to btc or blockchain, the concern is all about to maximize profit, hardly anyone talking about the technological aspect of it and how to incorporate it into our system to solve problems, This forum is also a good example, most thread created in the btc discussion section are often about price, and price predictions, so it appears for now people are just more interested in what they will gain financially rather than the problem solving aspect.

honestly, wtf does "blockchain technology" even mean? i've been hearing this term for 3+ years but.....what production blockchains are there besides bitcoin/sidechains and bitcoin clones? i remember jack ma talked about revolutionizing supply chains with blockchains. and blockchains were supposed to disrupt the financial and healthcare industries among several others. it's been years since then. has anything ever come of it? i'm surprised it's still making the list at this point.

The technology that would benefit Blockchain technology the most would be 5G networks. We know some 3rd world countries sometimes skip a generation in some technologies, so it would be great if the implementation of 5G networks would catapult them into using Blockchain technology and better payment options. <The Lightning Network is ideally suited for 3rd world countries with a large amount of small informal businesses with lots of micro transactions> I cannot see that Artificial Intelligence as a Service or Autonomous Driving and Personalized and Predictive Medicine or Computer Vision and Extended Reality would make a difference to Blockchain technology.
