This is really a thing. I read a book before titled Beauty Bias (forgot the author's name) and yes, people do go extra miles for you if you are attractive. There were also several social experiments already done (you can look up videos of these) where people ask strangers for favors and they tally how much the attractive and unattractive accomplices were able to convince to help.
Actually this situation do hurt me so bad.Im aint that handsome looking guy that why i can fully relate to this one.
When it comes to job hunting in real life where "pleasing personality" is one of the criteria and with that alone.I already
failed and end up on not getting hired.For courting some women, you dont have the confidence yet you know that they
might end up on accusing you on doing something bad when you are approaching thats why this reality does hurts soo much.
I'm unattractive and don't have a pleasing personality too so yes, I've been there. You just got to show them your skills.
Regarding women, you can make up for lack of attractiveness with social signalling, either you look like you've made it (cars, expensive watches, etc) or maybe surround yourself with female friends, if you have any.
