It's been over a year since I tried it, but at the time it repeatedly crashed on me. It also exhibited some annoying bugs -- this one I remember. I imagine some of the kinks have been worked out but I'm not surprised at its mediocre rating in the Google Play store.

Thanks for the suggestion to try Samourai. I've been meaning to check it out.
Well, the wallet was in its early alpha. Also, about what rating are you talking about? The app is in early access and doesn't show any ratings for me (AFAIK only the devs should be able to see it while isn't not fully released for production).

Compared to every other wallet in the Play Store, I can't find any other better (and their devs are nice and pro-BTC).

Where did you see that please?
The first and foremost thing is that, if we have a PC we should be going up for a Desktop wallet if we are storing large sums of btc in them. Mobile Wallets are certainly used for immediate payments while we are away from our PC as they don't give us full control over our coins. Regarding the Electrum Mobile Wallet, they have some nasty bugs with them like

  • Next button is greyed out for most of the time and even after entering the seed the next button doesn't get displayed
  • The wallet crashes for most of the time while I try to import the seed.
  • Connecting with a bad server which is offline for almost all the time.
  • Has the worst totally outdated GUI for every releases
  • Mediocre ratings on playstore as suggested by squatter

These options are more than enough for me to not use/trust the Electrum Mobile Wallet and to go with Mycelium. Right since I received my first satoshis I have been using the Electrum Desktop wallet and expecting the same for Mobile is not advaisable IMO. Mobile Wallets are handy but if they don't serve the purpose of being handy there is no use in using the wallet.

We better should not compare Electrum desktop and mobile wallets (which has issues with them and you can't really deny the fact).

Thank you for your explanations Heisenberg_hunter. For the Next button it must be because your seed is not in the right format, that is to say either the old format of electrum(before 2.0 version) or the bip39 format(Electrum mobile doesn't support bip39 as of now but it will in the next version as I know). For the other bugs you mentioned, I didn't experience them so they maybe belong to former versions.

Bitcoin app means you need a Bitcoin wallet right? https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet has listed so many options. You can choose your wallet by the operating system, user type, criteria and features. You can get all the wallets from their official sites.

The rating in the Google Play store -- I see a 3.6:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.electrum.electrum

Like I said, it was a long time ago. I switched to Mycelium on someone's recommendation and just stuck with it because it worked. I hardly ever use my Android anyway.

Ah, you're talking about Electrum. I suggested Samourai and you replied with the ratings stuff, that's why I thought you were talking about it. In that case, it really doesn't have any ratings since it's in Google Play's early access.

I don't or would never trust any other mobile wallets apart from Mycelium.

As far as Android mobile wallets go, I agree that Mycelium is the best option available. With iOS, I'm partial to Airbitz (rebranded as Edge). I wish I could endorse Electrum since I love it on desktop, but as a mobile app it has a really long way to go.

I say so too. I don't trust many wallets but electrum and mycelium are good ones. The electrum on mobile gives that new funny address and you can't send easily. Or was that receive? One of the two. Anyway it was annoying. I also like Exodus desktop wallet since it has multiple currencies.

Are multiple apps available listed google play store what is a useful app easily safe private key? what is the best bitcoin app for mobile?

Not sure which Mobile you are using - Android or iOS, but I found articles which contains best bitcoin wallets for Android and bitcoin wallets for iOS. You can refer these and install one which you want.

Mobile wallets are easy to store bitcoins but when security is concerned, it is good to use either paper wallet or hardware wallet.

There are a lot of BTC hosting apps on mobile, both androi and ios, I recommend using secure and reputable apps like Trust Wallet, coinbase, and bloclchain. In addition, many applications containing malicious, insecure and fraud appear on the app store, please understand it carefully and be careful.

I do not trust the play store app because anyone can make a fake app and scam you.  iOS apps are still better as those are published after verification.
Bread wallet is the best iOS wallet but still do not store all of your money in phone wallets. They are subjected to risk and also can be stolen easily.
Although apple iphones are safe even if they are stolen because they have better security but its better we do not take any risk with our bitcoins.

I never use mobile App to my coins, what if you lose your wallet and the one who find it knows how to open and get access to your wallet, it's really not safe to use any mobile wallet, get a hardware wallet, it's not cheap but it's worth it, or get MyCrypto desktop wallet I've used it as my alternative wallet and I'm ok with it compare to mobile and online wallet.

If you didn't do a research then you will be compromised by the fake apps scattered on google play but if you do directly with there site and download there respective apps then you will be fine, and also make sure you didn't any malicious thing that might compromise your safety and always secure your device with 2fa so that the hacker cannot easily send your balance since the security of your phone is so tightened.
