I believe, yes. Bitcoin has reached a lot of countries. It has been on the mainstream and it could even go more. My colleagues already know what Bitcoin is. It's even being advertised in our country. A lot of information about it is also everywhere in the internet and social media sites. I'm sure that a lot of people will easily get informed about this digital currency. If massive adoption would happen, it could also be adopted in most countries around the world.

The popularity of bitcoin makes bitcoin more famous throughout the world and because in the country where I live, bitcoin is more popular than other cryptocurrency because news about bitcoin is easily found or seen on all social media, advertisements, You Tube and many others.
and that will make bitcoin the main topic in cryptocurrency because they only know a few cryptocurrency besides bitcoin.

I think the majority already knew about bitcoins existence they just don't bother to pay time to dig into its information and what really it is. The number of social media users we have nowadays are millions and that is the main medium where bitcoins news are circulated, plus some news that got broadcasted about bitcoin im sure millions of people already have heard of bitcoin.

Research shows that cryptocurrency is used by 0.5% to max 1% world population, which in numbers gives us a maximum number of 75 million people. Given the world’s population of 7.5 billion people, that 1% is just like a joke and shows us that a very small number of people are directly involved with crypto.

On the other hand, I think that at least 50-70% of people heard about Bitcoin, especially in times of big bull run in 2017, but most don't even understand the basics and considers it an internet scam that will end sooner or later.

Another very important fact is that 45% of the world's population does not have internet access, and they probably never even heard of Bitcoin, and even if they are, they have no ability to use it.

Definitely, our technology is advancing and nowadays people use smartphones to watch videos, and surf the internet and with many bitcoin enthusiast using social media to increase awareness with bitcoin, it is possible that it will reach to millions of people who haven’t known bitcoin. I was shocked to learn that most people do NOT know it. The author of the Bitcoinist news resource went to the most progressive countries in the world in terms of using Bitcoin, with the exception of Malta and Switzerland, to find out what the inhabitants of the country know about the main cryptocurrency. The result was unexpected - over 99%  people around the world do not know anything about BTC.

I think it will be safer to say "heard about Bitcoin" than "read about Bitcoin" The truth is that people hardly read. Even now, not many will read the OP before responding. Sometimes, I don't even blame those who say they don't understand jack about Bitcoin. It's really technical stuff. The technicalities of Bitcoin perplexes me too.

I think the majority of people have heard about Bitcoin somewhere at least once. There are advertisements, news etc. about Bitcoin. It seems hard to me that most of the people didn't even hear about it.

I think the majority of educational people has heard about bitcoin, but problem is most of the time is promoting as a way to money not as a solution to a real problem. That's the reason why most crypto people are at the space just for money in first place and the funny thing, they want other people to join in order to bring more money to the space so the price can moon and they become rich by selling their bitcoin at high price to those newcomers. Because the focus is on making money, Some outsiders see bitcoin as a scam and bubble that will have a sad ending.

I think at least everyone has heard about bitcoin. But unfortunately most people recognize bitcoin as something negative,

I am not sure about the majority of people knows something about Bitcoin. But there is so many people today recognize Bitcoin and have some information about it. People are getting more informed day by day.

Comparing the awareness of Bitcoin during it period of creation and this period, we can see great developments in adoption and usage. Truly, a lot have changed.
So, by 10 years I believe most country will have come to realise that Bitcoin is something that a country payment system so have (hopefully). Also, by then the blockchain technology might have been implemented in many sectors of some states.

Yes, there is a chance of bitcoin massive adoption in the next coming 10 years as we saw what happened with Social Media in the last decade. No doubt, lots of people heard and read about bitcoin but the only thing stopping them from using bitcoin is FEAR of losing their money in bitcoin because of price volatility. Once many people start using bitcoin that may reduce the price volatility a lot.

Well most of my friends have heard about bitcoin but most of them don't want to adopt Bitcoin or to posses bitcoin which is bad for them but everyone is free to make their own decision.

Also I do think that most of the people heard about bitcoin as it went viral on TV and Social Medias back in the bull run but most of them are on the same boat like my friends , they don't want to invest something that they cannot have it in their hands...and on the next bull run they will cry ...again. I think only after 2025 people will really start to look into bitcoin as something with real value when they could hold some of their investments.

My parents don't use the Internet and I know many people age 60+ who don't. They don't know what Bitcoin is and maybe heard the word once or  twice but have no idea what it is.

Is it really important that you heard the word if you don't know what it means? I know some foreign words that I wouldn't be able to use in a sentence

People surely have heard about Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency. The only problem is, it didnt caught their attention ( base on my observation here in my place ).
With the continued rise of Bitcoin, people have turned their head once again to the technology they've once ignored.
Videos, news, and articles isnt enough for mass adoption. We need merchants and other service providers to accept Bitcoin as a mod of payment. In that way, people would have their second thought on why Bitcoin has a market value.
