This sub forum has been awfully compared to 2017, and with bitcoin dominance at a high, understandably so.
Just wondering if there are any of you who have installed solar panels to augment mining profitability and how has that worked for you? I know the numbers are there but was hoping to get first hand qualitative info on experiences whether or not it's worth it and if it's been profitable for you.
According to the San Diego desert miner, he ran everything 100% off-grid with solar and battery power and said he was “profitable.” Solar farming, in general, can be profitable for those simply selling to the grid but it depends on the land’s rental costs, geographic location, and the size of the solar installation. Recent estimates disclose that on average a typical solar farm can produce between $21,250 and $42,500 per acre every year:

this year is a mixed bag. we will soon have 2260th btc and 11gh ltc.
solar will help but we also crafted a good power deal with a guy.
our 1 acre plus array gives about 15kwatts of free mining power cost averaged.
24/7/365 and it runs buysolar home and his solar business.
the problem with 15 kwatts is it is about 7 antminer s17 pros or 370th for ‘free’
that simply is not much income. it is 62 dollars a day or 1860 a month.
the big setup in clifton is complex. we are expanding beyond the solar capacity due to a sweetheart power deal.
