poptok1 along with the scientist counter Greta, don't panic!
Quote
Human activities are estimated to have caused approximately 1.0°C of global warming above pre-industrial levels, with a likely range of 0.8°C to 1.2°C. Global warming is likely to reach 1.5°C between 2030 and 2052 if it continues to increase at the current rate. (high confidence)
300 years or us burning stuff, made Erth to worm up a bit - big shocker  Roll Eyes
If we continue our way of living, Erth will get warmer +0.3°C, and that's it, look at the official chart below.
Turn off the electricity, stop the production, go full caveman and cool the planet down about 0.3°, or do nothing and enjoy your v8's?
Quote
Warming from anthropogenic emissions from the pre-industrial period to the present will persist for centuries to millennia and will continue to cause further long-term changes in the climate system, such as sea level rise, with associated impacts (high confidence), but these emissions alone are unlikely to cause global warming of 1.5°C (medium confidence).
Are they suggesting that the peak of warming has already have happen? I looks to me this way. There is a natural resistance, the wall to the warming. We can't warm the planet beyond a certain point, even if we wanted to. Sure, there are some consequences, AC is a must have basically and few rare bugs will be lost. I like my PC better anyway.

Quotations taken from the official IPCC report.
Funny thing is that this is the exact report that this fear mongering girl is citing.
Read it for yourself as she asks... now to think of it, maybe this is her plan all along, to stop this madness by being mad?

I am sorry  I do not have the time to look up your links today.

But the likely answer is the simple fact that the effect of increased Co2 declines exponentially with each additional unit quantity. So the first doubling over pre industrial levels had the largest effect, the second maybe half of that, the third one quarter, and so forth. Basic radiative physics.

To put this in everyday language, suppose you are in an area where three smoke bombs are set off. Suddenly it's hard to see anything. Ten minutes later another three are set of and ten minutes after that, another three.

It's clear that the first ones have the most effect, once it's hard to see anything it can't get that much harder to see.

Every time I feel my mind is going to dumb level I come here and learn something new. Hopefully being exposed to this knowledge works the same but in reverse: from fully dumb to half dumb, to... etc, etc..

Simple Chemistry.  If you have a glass of ice, the temperature of the ice rises until it reaches its melting point.  At that point, extra heat goes into the phase change but does not raise the temperature until the phase change is complete.  Water is really good at absorbing heat.

Another noteworthy fact is that water expands when it is heated.  The rises in sea level and changes in ocean salinity come with devastating consequences.

In addition to that, the ocean absorbs CO2 and CO2 that is absorbed into the ocean no longer contributes to heating the atmosphere.  Think about it like a sodastream.  If you increase the pressure of the gas, more of it goes into the water.  Ocean acidification will have devastating effects on marine ecosystems.

Nowhere in the report does it say "nothing to worry about".  The Earth has ways to compensate for heating.  Those compensations are some of the largest effects of warming the planet.  It was never the earth becoming too warm that we were worried about.  It was always the effects of warming the world by just a few degrees that we were worried about.

^^^ It's kinda like melting glaciers. They melt on one end while they are being renewed on the other end.

If the glaciers won't melt any faster, I think I'll move to Belize.

O, OK, so it all about the ocean now...
First it was the acid rains - OMG amazon jungle will be poisoned and gone by the year 2000, act now! - Tax 'em
Then was the ozone layer - OMG we all gonna get cancer, atmosphere is to thin! - Tax 'em more
Next it was the warming - OMG we all gonna boil, the atmosphere is to thick! - Tax, Tax, Tax.
And now the oceanic life - OMG we all gona... what this time? Hunker for shrimps?

Think about this, when was the last time young generations were so, so in favour of governmental actions? When was the last time teenagers where in favour for politicians? Woman at Ocasio-Cortez town hall demands that everyone “eat the babies” – while AOC nods along.

During a recent town hall event in Corona, New York, her home district, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) responded to questions about her infamous Green New Deal, including from one woman who told AOC that we now need to “eat the babies” in order to save the planet from climate change.

Go to the site and watch the video.

If this isn't a proof for G.W. being a religion then I don't know what is.
Only through some form of religious beliefs smart people can do irrational things.
One may ask why the idea of cannibalism is completely mind-blowing (pun intended) and irrational?
Today the answer is quite simple but it wasn't just a decade ago, luckily now we know that nature developed interesting mechanism, to prevent self-eating species from ever evolving. We might have been lucky that such ideas came up this day and age.
Prion diseases. For example Creutzfeldt-Jakob syndrome (the mad-cow disease), is caused by prions (super durable cells) hidden in the bone powder, made out of dead cows. It was a common practice to feed cattle with such powder, as an effect, we ended up with zombiefied animals, with foam instead of brains. Same effect (extremely premature Alzheimer) was observed among African cannibals in the early '60. We don't eat other people because it's a sin, we don't do it because is simply not healthy!

Are we living in a dream of a drunk madman? Or maybe this woman really wants to drive humanity in to a trash-can of history?
Either way, she appears to be an adherent of NWO.

About time somebody put global warming to use rather than simply complaining about it!

Drought-Proof 'Cooling Houses' Use Saltwater and Cardboard to Grow Tons of Healthy Produce in the Desert.

Saltwater and dry desert climates may not seem like a good recipe for growing healthy produce, but that is exactly what a group of scientists has managed to do.

Researchers from the UK-based Seawater Greenhouse company have discovered a drought-proof way to farm fruits and vegetables simply by using solar power and saltwater for irrigation and cooling.

The company has launched plantation projects in arid regions such as Australia, Abu Dhabi, Somaliland, Oman, and Tenerife. Despite the harsh climate of these locations, the plantations are able to grow thousands of pounds of produce simply by making "cooling houses" out of thick walls of dampened cardboard.

While glass greenhouses are designed to keep gardens moist and warm, the cardboard structures use "evaporative cooling" to keep the interior of the plantation structures humid and cool.

The design of the corrugated cardboard panels helps to cool down the wind coming from the outside of the structure. At the same time, a small solar-powered pump dispenses seawater at the top of the panels so that it can trickle down through the walls of the cardboard for evaporation.

This "evaporative cooling" technique creates the perfect conditions for farming produce in drought-stricken regions.

At one point they'll be right.

But the only way to convince people is to truly show them real evidence and then to be RIGHT at some-point.

And when the climate temperature data is blockchained, and all the "Adjustments" to that data can be tracked back to the original raw data through the blockchain...

Then you might want to believe the data is accurate, or some adjustments are questionable, but it all tracks and adds up and is historically accurate.

The Blockchain is very radioactive...

All of this stems from a lack of understanding of what is being stated.   No one ever claimed the world would be gone in 10 years.  The claim is that climate change will reach a point of being irreversible if we continue at the rate we are at for the next 10 years.  That doesn't mean all of the effects will be seen as soon as we reach the point of no return nor has it ever been claimed that the world will be gone at any point.

The hole in the ozone layer was a real problem and who knows what the situation would have gotten worse had the world not come together and banned CFC's.

So every-time it is actually a lack of understanding that makes things seem inconsistent.

Global warming is a scam,  anyone who believes otherwise is very gullible in my opinion.  Climate change has been going on since the beginning of time, Global warming is just a cover up for the crooked politicians to generate funds to be used for their own underlying agendas.

We forgot all about global warming in the pandemic. I guess it's because the governmental powers that be finally needed to focus on something else that was false... at least for a while.

Low Solar Activity to Cause Temperatures to Plummet, Say Scientists

The Sun is entering a period of "solar minimum" that could cause temperatures to plummet by up to 2C over 20 years and trigger a global famine, according to experts.

Solar activity has entered a deep decline with scientists saying there have already been 100 days this year where the sun has displayed zero sunspots.

NASA boffins say this means that the earth could be about to experience a new "Dalton Minimum," the period between 1790 and 1830 which led to a severe prolonged cold snap and massive volcanic eruptions.

"This means were could be entering one of the deepest period of sunshine recession which could trigger long periods of cold, famine and other issues," reports the Daily Star.

The Sun has now recorded two consecutive years of record setting spotlessness, being blank 77% of the time in 2019 and 76% of the time so far this year.

This means a deep solar minimum is coming which will cause temperatures to drop drastically.

This once again serves as a reminder that the Sun is by far the most influential driver of climate and makes the impact of so-called man-made climate change look tame in comparison.
