I completely agree with you. At the moment, there are and will be quite a lot of different good altcoins. This is the same if people said that you use only the dollar and nothing else. But every country has its own currency. It is a large market with different currencies that are used for different purposes. The same goes for cryptocurrencies.

Yeah, what if Bitcoin was used in there instead? We wouldn't need all this altcoins in the first place. Although there are some altcoins that are very good, you won't deny that Bitcoin is still the safest of them all. You can't defeat Bitcoin when it comes to investing. it's possible that when altcoin comes with better quality and performance, it can cause many investors to switch to altcoin. traders will also think of convenience for transactions.
bitcoin should now be able to be an alternative payment for a transaction in the real world. not just as an asset being traded as it is today. although there are already those who use bitcoin as a means of payment, but that is not done with mass quantities.

yes crypto can do better than that, I also imagine that crypto like alipay / wepay and online payment will greatly affect the value of crypto, including the market situation for the better and also increase the price of crypto again. on the other hand I think bitcoin will run with altcoin because they need each other in this crypto space

Do not count me as a Bitcoin maximalist. My portfolio has a lot of altcoins that are not just there because I received them but because I intentionally bought them. Altcoins are not enemies of Bitcoin. Altcoins are supporters of Bitcoin in other words. They are actually helping Bitcoin in some ways. But I don't think that Bitcoin needs altcoins. If there are no altcoins today, it does not follow that Bitcoin have long died. Or if all the altcoins will die in a year or two from now, it does not follow that Bitcoin will also die. Bitcoin is sufficient in itself. But it is certainly made stronger by altcoins.

True, Bitcoin can't survive Alone, the blockchain space is bigger than just bitcoin, it comprises of other Altcoins. Although bitcoin is the number one but good Altcoin will gain value in the future,so if you are holding valuable Altcoin, good.

Agree with your summation because no.man can ever be an island no matter the strength of the man. Bitcoin as a technology of payment method cannot perform the role of the altcoins as far the world of cryptocurrency is concern. There have been many other projects that came after Bitcoin and they are contributing to the fast development of Blockchain alongside Bitcoin.

Although Bitcoin be the mainstream manifestation of the Blockchain, doesn't mean it is all in all. Many Altcoins have been Keeping around Bitcoin and also, benefiting from Bitcoin as Bitcoin also benefits from them too. Bitcoin is Bitcoin. Bitcoin does not need any company, partnership or well known investor. BTC survived alone for years and it can go on survive alone.
Alt coin traders can not survive without BTC because alt coins can not survive without BTC. And last 3 months we saw how alt coins are deepened to BTC. BTC UP, alt coins down. BTC down, alt coins down. Physically they may survive but the values of the alt coins will  crush without any recovery.

We all know the fact that; Bitcoin is Bitcoin but, need sometimes those to rely on and not solely itself alone. You are right. There are different types of money and with/without  proper regulation by centralized bodies, bitcoin can be classified as digital form of money. If this happens, bitcoin can quite survive alone as other financial assets. Buy like you said the people need altcoins for those varieties it offers in trade for profits
