That is true. Altcoins with real usage usually have much value and are not to be dumped just like that. Sometimes people are afraid to hold some altcoins for long because of the fact that they can get dumped so hard up to even -50% within 24hours.

But so far, it is difficult to find the altcoin with real usage, and all coins can be a payment so far. But the merchant still prefers to use bitcoin, bch, ethereum, or litecoin to pay the transaction. We need to support bitcoin and altcoin, and bitcoin cannot survive alone. Bitcoin and altcoin is bond in the cryptocurrency and if the altcoin does not exist, then bitcoin will difficult to grow. Yes, I agree that crypto can do better. I partially agreed in your statement. There are some altcoins that way better than bitcoin but bitcoin is the most famous cryptocurrency and people uses bitcoin because it is pure-decentralized and thats the problem of most altcoins. They are centralized in some ways and given that bitcoin itself have a fair distribution unlike other altcoins that have premine.

as far as I know, China prioritizes the use of technology originating from its country rather than using technology originating from outside their country. that is an absolute thing. In fact, I heard that 80% of Chinese people use Baidu compared to Google.

Bitcoin is the most popular and in demand among all cryptocurrency but I think it cannot single-handedly meet all the demand for crypto. Bitcoin has a bright future ahead and it does not need the alts the way alts need Bitcoin but why limit it to only one coin? People have different preferences to which coin they like more to use and which among them they think is profitable as an investment.

The market has changed so I don't also think that BTC can hold on its own. The variety of available coins in the market makes this industry more dynamic than any other industry. no, I think the market will not be attractive enough if there is only bitcoin plus the current price of bitcoin, so investors / traders need other coins that would be of benefit to them. if seen like now bitcoin and altcoin become an attractive investment container, they compete with each other in price and are more attractive in my opinion than there is only bitcoin in the market

If we get altcoins from airdrops and bounty campaigns, it is OK. But given the current market condition, I am not confident enough to make investments with altcoins. Many of them have gone down by more than 50% during the last 2-3 months. For example, ETH is trading at 0.02 BTC per coin currently. It was trading at 0.035 BTC a few months back.

I think Bitcoin has increase its value relative to altcoins. Its dominance becomes significant because it is compared to altcoins. Indeed bitcoin also needs altcoin to dominate the crypto market. Although the majority of altcoins  eventually die, I still think their presence helps in the stability of the crypto market

Yes, as the Op stated it is always necessary to find whether the altcoin or the project has the working product as well as the real life usage. This will keep up the project into usage generating more circulation to the respective altcoins. Going through coinmarketcap it is possible to find more and more projects with real life usage and good product, but there is no growth. Upon that every altcoins can't be expected to grow and reach high.
