It can survive this is what I believe after ten years and with big gap in dominance, Bitcoin is doing great at this point of time, it's the altcoins that cannot survive without Bitcoin, but it's better that there are altcoins around that has different features, it can serve other industries with their features and of course, we, investors like to have a lot of choices and options when investing.

you correctly say that altcoins cannot survive without bitcoin, but it is also true that bitcoin cannot survive without altcoins. think a little bit about what will happen to the market if all altcoins will die? people will simply no longer be interested in the cryptocurrency market and very few people will remain on it, and then only a very small number of people will also need bitcoin

It can survive if in future people will use only bitcoin for what all they need to do, to buy all they need and many other things but all depends if this will happen, but anyway survive already is the most know crypto on earth and will continue survive.

And there will be a time that most of the altcoins will get eliminated to remain the coins that has the strongest hold by the people. But what do you mean by it needs that altcoin? I thought that you're in favor of saying that bitcoin can survive on its own but why tell that it has to be with a minimum of that kind of altcoin? there will be an altcoin to survive but it will never kick out bitcoin at its place and even there's none, bitcoin alone can make itself go on.

Bitcoin can survive alone. Just like gold if the demand will be be going up then it there's no reason for it not to survive amd now. There are so many altcoins floating in the market we accept it or not that is how reality is going on. Bitcoin will still survive and can survive alone in the long run.

I don't think Bitcoin can survive alone, we can see the price movement gone high fast when alternative cryptocurrency makes movements in the market.

I dont disagree with the fact that altcoins dont have a use case. Many do have a use case. But price is decided by trading volumes and traders. When it comes to trading, market isn't really active atm. Even bitcoin is struggling with the volume. But just because bitcoin is the most trusted among the traders when it comes to crypto, it gets the most of the trading volume which keeps the price movement active.

Altcoins aren't getting much of the traction lately. So simply holding them won't be a good option. That is why people are asking others to shift to bitcoin until altcoins show some movement.

Its economy, there cant be just one currency, just one market. Beauty of crypto is connection between coins and tokens, and simplicity in making transactions, storing, and swapping coins/tokens. We are on the opposite side, the majority of my investment is in bitcoin and that is the top of my priorities. Altcoins also may good but those altcoins that have the potential to invest like the top 20 ranking altcoins in Coins Market Cap. Bitcoin will stand alone and that's is the reason why until now Bitcoin has existed and it becomes in the mainstream not just simple altcoins. Bitcoin will survive no matter there is no altcoins behind and believed if altcoins can't survive without bitcoin.

If we can invest in bitcoin and atlcoin why not. Every person must have a bad experience about what they never had before as a failure to invest into bitcoin and then he got a loss and do not want to invest into it again. But for me personally, both bitcoin and altcoin can both generate profits if we can find the right opportunity and determine the right time to buy and sell it.
