Well, I experienced this yesterday. My friend and I decided to gamble at a live casino and he gamble there in poker and sit on the table.

Yes, that will be a good option for people who live in the country in which gambling is banned. They can use an internet connection to visit on the gambling site and play any gambling games. But I think they need to use VPN to cover their real IP from the ISP provider, so they don't know if we are playing gambling. But I guess the ISP will not check on their customers, and they will not say anything to them.

It is still possible, there is always a way to play gambling on online casinos. Not all online casinos are blocked, even if all casinos are blocked by ISP then there is always VPN. I live in a country where gambling is strictly prohibited but in fact the number of online gamblers here is still huge enough. I can say it is huge because there are still many local online casinos with many active players. I have never heard any issues related to compromised money just because gambling is illegal. That's true but if you are not good in concealing your feeling, playing online is your best option, but there there is fullfilment in playing live casinos, it is a strategy of who can hide your feeling and how to read your opponents face, and if you are playing just for fun, then playing live is very exciting and definitely worth trying, I have tried it once and lost my opponent is good in checking my feeling.

It is probably better to ignore your opponents faces if you're a good poker player. The expressions are usually lies. The truth is, most expert level players will rely on pure statistics + incorporate tells and reads from known players, in addition to researching their playing style and bluff rate. Some players are known to make ridiculous bluffs, e.g. Dwan, while others are known to keep it straight most of the time.

The "local fiat poker sites" are probably illegal. I think his/her country isn't aware of them or the authorities just ignored them for reasons best known to them. I guess it's more like how exchanges are banned in some countries then the countries business people start operating illegal exchanges within their countries or operate from other countries where they are legal

good for you guys that you still find a way to continue your hobby while other people that i know have stop permanently once the gambling on thier place have been closed  . anyway may i know what is the name of that casino  ?  10k players online ? holy cow , thats pretty huge numbers . i know alot of poker sites and most of them are kinda big but the problem is the  online players are kinda bit little, so i find hard to play on them    . still playing online is better than playing locally in my opinion
