Hello All! Good to find this forum as I am seeking for assistance in answering my questions:

I don’t have access to my email account. I am trying to get access to my blockchain.info account.

What I do have is my blockchain wallet is, password to log into my blockchain account and also my back up wallet in AES.json text format.

I do not have my seed phrases.

I have already started the process to get my 2fa reset and have clicked on Accept in the email that they have sent to my new email address.. I understand that it takes about 2 weeks for blockchain.info to send another email that reset has been done successfully, is this right?

Now my question is:

1. Is there another way to get access to my wallet rather than waiting 2 weeks?
I am asking this because I read blockchain.info can be terrible at providing supports. Also what if the confirmation email does not arrive after waiting two weeks?

2. Should I try logging in now with my wallet I’d? Or would this ‘reset’ the 2 week timer since I have a feeling it will ask me to authorize this login attempt.

2. Just to add to the first question: do I have to decrypt my back up wallet which is in AES.json format to retrieve my seed ?

Many thanks!

It's blockchain.com now not blockchian.info anymore

1. Is there another way to get access to my wallet rather than waiting 2 weeks?

Since you do not have the 12 word pass pharse then that's all you can do at the moment.

Not sure about the time reset.

I advise you to wait for the time.

May be someone else can enlighten you here. I really have limited knowledge here.

Actually, it will be sent within the day you requested as far as my experience, but since this wallet seems too buggy that a lot of features are affected so I assume their email provider is affected as well. 2 weeks is too long for that I willl suggest to request again here if you will not received the recovery option for your 2fa within  2-3 days.

Hi Blankcode for your feedback. I actually received a an email from them at my new email address asking if I accept or decline. Based on your experience, are you saying once I accept, I should be able to log into blockchain in 2-3 days after I submit accept?

Yeah I agree 2 weeks is a long time for 2fa reset but I gathered that much from reading other posts

Thanks again!

Sadly, as you dont have the seed, you have to wait until their support reset the 2fa for you.
Maybe it is faster in bl4nkcode link...

Next time, when you are able to login, just get your recovery seed. With your seed in hands, you don`t need their support for anything else.

This wallet has problems with old accounts so it seems that the only ones who can help you are Blockchain.com support team.

Since you do not have the 12 word pass pharse then that's all you can do at the moment.
His wallet is an old legacy wallet not HD wallet "12-word seed."

The recent update of that wallet did not include the old database so your old ID is useless.

Your keys are stored in the json file, the mnemonic back then is used to retrieve the password hence why this existed https://login.blockchain.com/wallet/forgot-password

Try importing your json file here https://login.blockchain.com/wallet/import-wallet and if you're asked for a password, try typing in your login password.

In the retrospect, this could be a clear case of social engineering / cookie based hack. Not saying that you are a hacker but you could be.
Perhaps you acquired the password somehow - could be a mistake that someone (a friend) logged into your computer / mobile and accidentally saved the password there. And now you are trying to back stab them.

Going by that, I will not be suggesting you any additional methods. I would also request other members here to follow suit.

No problem in cooperating but your claim needs strong proof which I don't see, mind elaborating? (doesn't matter if it's circumstantial)

If it's about op not having access to their email account and mnemonic, then no it's not enough. We're talking about an old neglected wallet, losing information wouldn't be weird.

Of course I have no proof of this and this is merely a speculation on what it could be. Without further proof from OP it would be unwise to help him because we all could be helping a hacker get funds that belonged to someone else. I am not the one claiming that I lost some of the most important things any bitcoin wallet owner should keep safe. While at the same time saying that I only have access to information that can be stolen with a cookie infection.

So the burden of providing proof that what the OP is saying is not false lies with OP himself. Not me.

Do you find my logic refutable?

well if there are vulnerabilities present, I believe any information can be stolen so what you're saying is we can accuse everyone who is trying to access their accounts using incomplete information.

Human error happens, we can forget, etc... and do note that not every bitcoin user gets the basics. If one does not know the weigh of a private key, pretty sure they wouldn't put a great deal of effort in keeping it safe

Imo, without enough flags (signs/evidence) it wouldn't be right to accuse someone and prevent them from getting help. I don't really wanna go down to "verify all information is clean first" route.

Not reasonable question, why do you think that OP is/may be hacker? He lost access of his/her email address which was used during login. Does it prove he/she is a hacker? I don't think so, can you please explain how a person could gain wallet.aes.json files if he/she isn't not owner of wallet ? If you wanna retrieve that file, then you must have access of email. Since OP do not have email access so how he/she gained it? There should be some reason of your suspicion. You can't doubts someone without any single reason. Peoples coming here for help & solutions. Hackers is more smarter then us, if they how how to hack wallet file, ofcourse they know how to unlock it, they are not stupid at all.

Try importing your json file here https://login.blockchain.com/wallet/import-wallet and if you're asked for a password, try typing in your login password.
It would be best solution I think, OP should try this way. Wallet should open even without email verification since its opening from direct wallet file. So try it, I don't think file was encrypted with password. But you may try by the way.
