The LED case looks AMAZING @crowetic! Hopefully you can put a button to turn the lightning off and on. I'd like to mark down my interest and support for this project. I haven't made my purchase decision yet, but most probably I'll end up buying it because it is such an amazing deal. I'm not sure on the shipping and custom taxes, though as they could really mark up the price.

I have a few questions though. What will happen with the future hardware models? Will the minters have to buy them to continue minting or how will this process work? How long does it take to become a minter on the blockchain?

Awesome, and thank you! Yes, there were many times I'm sure that a lot of people nearly gave up on us... but they must realize a project of this magnitude takes some SERIOUS DOING. It took us years to get the right people, plan the thing, get the right components in the right place, and build the whole thing from SCRATCH software and hardware.

Has been an awesome ride, and we're so close to the launch now, I'm very excited.

Thank you, I think so too. We are still figuring out the details as far as what and how the LED version is going be connected, etc... but we will figure it out and have details on that shortly.


Regardless, we have created another version of the case, with much more adequate cooling, considering we will not be running any fans...

The minting has nothing to do with the device itself, you can become a minter with or without the device itself, as long as you delegate and become a minter.


However, if you're a donator to the device purchase on top of the purchase price, as mentioned in the OP, you can get an automatically enabled minting account of a certain level immediately, without having to go through the delegation process.


We have created a method for users to essentially destroy and re-create their accounts, transferring their level and everything to a new account, with this, we can give them keys created in genesis that can be pre-enabled for minting, so that we can give the people who are kind enough to donate .25 or more BTC to the team, a pre-enabled minting account.


However, as I said, you do not NEED to have a device in order to be a minter, the device just allows you to be one without having to worry about keeping a node online all the time, on your regular computer, instead you can run this tiny device, use it for a bunch of other purposes, as a secure router/access point, tor node, game server, etc... while at the same time running your minting node via a 5V device taking no power, and always staying on and sync'd.


The people who purchase the first round of devices, also get first 'dibs' on the next gen of devices we release. Donators of course get first shipping, first dibs, and first choice, as well as the minting accounts that come ready to run out of the box.

-Updates- Release date for QORT project to be pushed back a couple weeks to allow for QORA transition to take place completely decentralized.


As mentioned above, we are going to be (most likely, anyway) pushing back the launch of the QORT blockchain, by a few weeks, to allow for the transition from QORA and those people to do so completely decentralized, and without (hopefully) missing anyone.

Also, this gives us a little more time to finish testing and building out the device, as collaboration in 4 countries, via shipments when needed, is taking a little more time than we initially expected.

I must ship the new case to the hardware dev, so that he can do thermal testing and stress test the device, and I'm still waiting on parts for 2 devices ordered before this ANN, and more parts ordered again recently with expedited shipping, so that I can install the firmware image, do testing myself, and get more demos out to people.


So this slight push back on the launch time is going to be beneficial in many ways, and should also allow for more donators to get PRE-ENABLED MINTING ACCOUNTS!


THIS WILL BE THE ONLY CHANCE FOR PEOPLE TO GET PRE-ENABLED MINTING ACCOUNTS THAT WILL EVER EXIST, AS THE PRE-ENABLED ACCOUNTS MUST BE INPUT INTO THE GENESIS BLOCK OF THE CHAIN, AND THEREFORE CAN NEVER BE DONE AGAIN!

Since the launch is being pushed back, it gives people a bit longer in order to decide to be a donator, or get a device, but that time will go by very quickly. So be sure to let us know if you're interested, and/or donate if you want a pre-enabled minting account, so you can begin earning rewards as soon as you plug your device in

Yes, we will be shipping worldwide. We are having the new case printed now, the dev just sent me the final image stable for version 1, and everything is coming along quite nicely. Just looking to get a few more sales, hopefully pushing this announcement a bit harder, in prep for the launch very soon.

I will be announcing the QORT project itself in the coming days as well, so people can get a better idea of how that will work, how the launch will be structured, etc.

Yes, people who held QORA all this time are definitely not forgotten. They will be rewarded in various ways. Both being able to transition onto the QORT chain, and obtain QORT tokens, as well as being able to get a minter account by default without the verification period, if they were a forger on the QORA chain after the delist from polo.

It is fine but i need to know if he will be willing to build some device for me with different board designing for different purposes? It is not to be conflicted with your good project. It is for some other things.
