there is always some people who are expecting bitcoin price to drop for a lot of different reasons (missing the boat, wanting to short,...) and when there is any drop their activity grows!

as to what i think, i think the price will keep going sideways for at least a couple of weeks (maybe until end of Oct.) and then slowly rises back up. if we see it go above $9k and get closer to $10k i expect another big FOMO to take place and take the price up above $14k super fast.

The behavior of bitcoin cannot be predicted easily, and since price dropped drastically several weeks ago a lot of holders were losing hope. Although this was really shaken our world, that doesn't mean we're quitting. I don't expect a lot of progressive changes to occur, all I wanted to see is the greener future of bitcoin after the fall of value was fully taken into corrections.

although, i am not sure 100% the price will following one of i say before.

After Bitcoin's price drop in recent days, today it has been growing steadily since the afternoon and has grown over the past few hours, according to CoinMarketCap, from $ 8,247 to $ 8,288. Of course, while this does not mean much, however, I would like it to continue to grow at the same pace. I do not think that in the near future it will still fall. Most likely, we will finally see the expected growth. It always grows somehow unexpectedly. Still, we have already entered the last quarter of the year. This period has traditionally been marked by a good growth in the cryptocurrency market.

Nobody knows exactly what will happen. This is why many people just rely on technical analysis, whether it be stocks, futures, commodities or crypto. Myself I base my trades off the weekly charts which has a lot of noise filtered out.

If history is to repeat itself then a confirmed bear market will be when the $9000 area gets tested within the next few weeks and fails to close above it. This is what pretty much happened in 2014 and 2018 and lead to a long bear market afterwards. If you sold when these candles closed you would of sold at a good price.

3) A selloff to the 0.786 fib in the $5,400s is possible but the least likely of the three.

the pump earlier this year and subsequent correction look an awful lot like the september 2015 - february 2016 period---the beginning of a long term bull market. we might touch $6k in the coming weeks but i'm confident we're not entering a prolonged bear market. i think we'll be uptrending again by next month and will be comfortably above $10k before year end.

Of course, no one really know where the price is going to move this quarter, those people that says the price good could to $6k levels could be absolutely correct or ... wrong in the end. That's why this market is really unpredictable, when we thought that the price will go that way, suddenly it goes on the opposite direction. So we can't tell for certain what the price could be, the only thing we can do is not to expect a big pump so that you won't get disappointed. And then you can simply adjust your trading strategy, others, buy in dip and hold, while most of the traders go for short term gain.

The only thing you can do is to speculate what the price would be in the next few months and if anyone tell you that they are certain how the market will perform i can guarantee that they are lying. No one knows exactly how the market will perform and you can speculate how the market should be at a certain point. Earlier the market used to move according to the FUD news more often but now those fluctuation are not that visible. Invest for the long term and do not panic even if you see a minor correction as the market will always recover in the long term.

Exactly. You shouldn't believe in any mere speculations, anyone could make one you and even me but it should only stay it as speculation nevertheless. No one can exactly predict how bitcoins behave so it is better if we could just observe the market and learn to adapt in a single amount of time, make some analysis if possible or trading plan. More or less same here.I had one more scenario that we will stay longer time in frame 7400-8500 and finally we will break out to higher levels with some next accumulation between 9300-8500 but for short time

Definitely, no one knows what price could occur in bitcoin. As long there are more demands on bitcoin price it will increase. Hopefully more adoption on bitcoin globally in the future. Also everyone can have their own speculation on btc price as we all know it may decline or surge up so let us do observe the fluctuation in the market.

Last time in 2017 price went up to 7700 USD then fall back to 3700 then all the way to 20000 USD. I am not expecting the same pump and dump. This going to hit very hard for all the new people coming to the Crypto Adoption. I think we need to stop the manipulation in the bitcoin market. I am expecting More adoption in market and Stable price action. This is going to be a joke if price up & down over a few thousand bucks in couple of days. it is not possible to expect the immediate next move that bitcoin is going to make at times like this where price has a big drop out of nowhere which scares investors into adopting a wait-it-out strategy instead of buying. so all you can do is either take the bigger risks and get involved in the market or do what most others do and wait for the rise then jump back in with a FOMO!
my guess is that we will see this price level for a longer time without going either up or down. then either an attempt to push it down will occur and fail because of the strong buy support at $8k or we simply see a rise to break above $9k at a slow pace then as it goes above that the price shoots up to above $10k-11k

At this moment, Bitcoin is around $8500 already and it pumped a bit after its price yesterday at around $8100. My speculation is that Bitcoin in the next 2-3 months will stay at around $8000-$10000 level like what happened in December 2018 where Bitcoin went sideways for a bit and then pumped instantly in April of 2019. Regarding the $6000 price, if Bitcoin went below its strong support which is at around $7250 then there is a high chance that it will happen.

No need to be sad though, it's just normal to see people predicting the price of bitcoin on the opposite side, maybe they have some motive behind on their TA is really pointing on that direction. But as the price goes, no one has the crystal ball to see the price movement. But for me who can't do analyze of bitcoin price and chart, i only see people's comment and think which one is really fit for me. And then use it to be my analyze without read chart. Bitcoin going down is not something sad, it is the volatile nature of bitcoin that we got accustomed to and we do expect it to go down but that doesn't mean we don't like bitcoin or we do not expect it to go up eventually. Just because I think there is a high chance bitcoin goes under $7k soon doesn't mean I don't believe it will go above $20k one day.

I still think that we will see $30k+ in 2021, that is a solid prediction by me that I have been defending for over a year now, but I still think we will go under $7k soon, short term bear and long term bull is something we should all consider. I do not see those ones as bears, they are just wishful thinkers which there is no way that their wish would have affected the market. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and desire, I guess that is just their desire to buy bitcoin at an extremely cheap price which they may never realize their dream because those value is gone for life as the last of it we will see if the time it was once in the value.

The real bears are those people that are crashing the market by making massive sales when there are some bulls trying their best to keep the market active, and if the market was actually left to the bulls alone who thinks of the future of bitcoin more than now, I think bitcoin price would have been way beyond $50k, but I believe that the bull’s next move now will be stronger than the bears.

that is not a right categorization in my opinion. and the definitions aren't  great either.

I do see what you mean. Despite my bearish sentiment, I'd also be going long on a break above that trendline. This time the 200 MA is trending downwards with a considerable amount of bearish pressure, so it's certainly easier to argue the differences in these two scenarios.

I agree. There's been quite a lot of issues we've seen with the prices of BTC, mostly seeing it be pretty boring over the recent months due to inactivity.

There's a couple estimates for bullruns and a decent amount of people reckon it'll go to 10,000 this year, but just don't see that being the case for me to be honest

There was a substantial sell off which brought the price below $8k. Though price was able to come above $8k but the bulls will be capped at $8800. Price is likely to see $6k because when breakout happens after a significant time of consolidation leads to trend continuation. So, more bearish movement is more than expected. But $6k is a strong support, price going below that could lead to a drop of $4k.

You can't exactly say how the market will behave and move, that is the beauty of Bitcoin.
Having in mind recent behaviour I don't expect some bigger changes. Some corrections that will happen along the way but no.major dip.

There will definitely be a new move before the halving, the halving is in may and there is about 6-7 months until the halving, that is a loooong time, there could even be 2-3 more big moves, and by big moves I mean stuff like 20%-30% changes, for example the 10k to 8k or even 9k to 11k type of big moves, not 8k to 20k type of huge moves, that rarely happens every year, it usually happens once every few years.

We could see many moves like this before the halving, we might see short burst in valuation and correction along the way till the halving and we have seen many scenarios like this in the past and i am expecting the same this time, when the market started rallying last few months i thought we might see a reversal of the trend but right now the market is in the right direction like we saw in the past. You're right about the downtrend of the bitcoin market which I also believe will happen till early next year but the market wont dump to the $5700 price range you mentioned because the market will actually experience a side ways price movement.  However, the whales are not to blame for what's happening because this is just a logical move in the price of bitcoin market which always when halving is approaching.

No truer words have ever been written, bro.  People here tend to forget that not so long ago bitcoin was trading for just $3200 and that it took a rocket ride up to $10,000 before dipping back down to where it is now.  The mood really isn't bearish.  This is just a minor correction in my opinion.

Also, my personal thoughts are that when bitcoin busts out of this pool of still water that its in, it will be to the upside.  I'm fairly sure of this, and the only real question in my mind is how long it's going to take for it to happen.

A lot of people do really expect that bitcoin could reach increase it's price higher before the end of this year because i also see that bitcoin has potential to increase it's price up to 20k USD again just like in the year of 2017. I would say that with Bitcoin and the way the whole market is, all predictions and projections are just speculations of what can happen with the price of Bitcoin. It means that one's guess can be as good as yours and mine. There are all possibilities with Bitcoin going down or going up, anytime. Which prediction Bitcoin will go will be known over time. It must be noted that there are people who made it their habit to predict that Bitcoin can crash anytime even going back to zero soon. Listening to these people can make one get discouraged on Bitcoin but fortunately we know much better and we don't anymore give credence to what these might say. Now, on the other side of the table are people who always love to get media attention by predicting unbelievable predictions for Bitcoin. Listening to them can make you over optimistic and can lead one to a misinformed decision dealing with Bitcoin. Go for a more sane analysis on Bitcoin and not to these people who are just here to get the attention they are craving.

There is no chance that Bitcoin can get back to the $12000 within this year, in the remaining days of the year 2019. There is however a big possibility for that in 2020. We can be lucky if Bitcoin can stay at $9000 for this year as the market seems to be more inclined to go sideways barring no big good news on the horizon. Overall, I am still happy with Bitcoin as the year is soon ending. With next year's halving, the time to accumulate more is now.

I tried to make it higher than yours about $9k to $10k since the market shows some pumps nowadays. It has to think that bullish isn't in the way but not say that we are plunging down hard below $7k. If the market sustains the recent position we'll eventually end up this year at good price.

Nailed it, FUD have already started and they are doing they best which they can do that's creating more and more panic selling so that they can purchase bitcoin at lower price and then sell it when the price goes back to normal but I feel there is some bigger organization behind these fudsters. But there is a thin line between creating FUD and portraying the marking situation with a glimpse of negativity, I think its time that the users should stop paying heed to negativity and just focus on longer term goals.

Well, looking at how much it dropped these days I would say the next stop would be up. I don't mean really up, like $10k+ or something, I just mean $8.2 or something because that is literally what bitcoin has been doing for a long long time.

You guys ever realized that bitcoin sometimes goes up and sometimes it goes down but 99% of the time it is around the same prices? Like yeah sure sometimes it is $20k and sometimes it is $3k but usually it goes up and down between the same price most of the time. Since you made your post we have seen mostly sideways action without the price taking any clear trajectory, but during the past days the volatility of the market has increased and now it is going up, but even with the recent growth it is difficult to know if this is the beginning of a new trend in the upward direction or if this was just a reaction to the price of bitcoin being so low and whales taking the chance to accumulate some coins in the process.
