Title says it all, and it's obvious how it affects people's so-called status on the boards.

OP got negative trust from marlboroza (not the first one so it doesn't even affect his score) and is now using this as an excuse to pad his Yobit post count. Might be something for yahoo62278 to look into.

Edit: never mind, already removed from the campaign.

This thread isn't really about the trust system at all but in fact about the recently given negative feedback to you, @marcotheminer IMO you shouldn't have covered that loan in the first place as DadyD already admitted that he is just doing that to "increase his trust" and his original reason for the loan which is to "invest" isn't really true, he is just technically paying .0003 BTC just to get a positive trust rating. Aside from being a newbie he also lied with his first attempt to transact in BCT, you should have backed out from it when you saw that post already.

Who said he would get a positive rating? Yes, I left one as I always do. I backed out - you can ask DadyD.

Grey area when this happens, I don't just jump, send back funds, and bail. First things first, ensure no one has loaned, then I tip back as I did..

As for backing out before his 2nd loan demand - I gave the 1st loan because I saw it as a fair risk/reward. That's how you loan at the end of the day, what he does with funds is none of my business. Then the 2nd one came around with me as escrow, I didn't think anything bad of it until he posted what he did.

Can you give some directions and proposals on where to make the changes?

I'm removed even though it doesn't affect my score.. @yahoo62278 I'm asking for reconsideration here.. None of these posts are counting don't worry people.. How'd the forum get so cynical? A shame if money did that.

Vetted trust placers, through who people can report members/situations. These members need to be old forum people, with consistency and level headed (a 3rd party basically).

Everyone knows trust system are far from good, but currently it's least worst than other suggestion (depending on how you value pros/cons of each options).
Without suggestion which is overall better than current system, don't expect trust system will change.

So, do you have any better suggestion?

Of course it won't change, it used to be OK and then the doors were opened to most people and a couple random members.

Theymos didn't invent trust system for you and "your newbie accounts" to farm it.

Put your proof out there. I can swear to anything in this universe that I don't know DadyD, I don't control the account, I didn't make the account, I've never seen that name, etc, etc. So if your accusation is based on a hunch, you got the problem not me..

I came across his loan thread and engaged since: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5189212

PS on the subject of farming trust: you think a marcotheminer positive trust is useful/valid/paid attention to? (answer: nah not at all Tongue) I have no reason to farm accounts and/or their trusts.

The system does work to some extent, and in theory its a very well designed system. However, like any system its the people who are involved that don't use the system correctly, and end up turning a useful, well designed system into what we have today. Unfortunately, no matter what changes we were to make there would always be bias, and manipulation within the system as well as the illusion of "power" of being on DefaultTrust gives users. That will go to peoples heads (not saying it is in this specific case), but that signals to the rest of us that this user probably isn't suited to being on DefaultTrust in the first place.

Do we really need three threads about the same issue? You have already opened two in the reputation board:

DireWolf14 : Trust exaggeration
marlboroza : trust abuser

Could you maybe keep the discussion focused in one thread? Could mods perhaps lock this one?

You said I was dropped as a child and I say DadyD is your alt account.

So, either we are both wrong or one of us is right or we are both right  Smiley

(note: I didn't say DadyD is your alt account, you probably confused words "your newbie accounts" with "your alt account")
