Bitcoin holding will be worth this year or in the long run?

it is not possible to see the competitors get involved with each other and start  cooperating to manipulate the market which is something illegal by the way. the more the number of exchanges the harder it is. right now as we have a dozen big bitcoin exchanges each of which having less than 8% of the volume there simply is no way any of them cooperates with others and individually they have no power.
remember than last time an exchange manipulated the market it was 2013 and it controlled more than 90% of the volume alone.

I'm hearing a rumor that bitcoin could go bullish this month, there is only one way to find that out, and that is to hold our bitcoins and hold our temptations to sell in this bearish market that is rampaging in the cryptocurrency market since February 2018. In my opinion, it doesn't matter what exchanges or any other big players do.
Bitcoin movement is upward in long term. I am holding for the next 5-10 years, so there is no problem if we crash now. I can buy more

I wouldn't recommend anyone to sell their Bitcoin now. I believe that it will be worth holding Bitcoin for next year. I guess Bitcoin will break the record on next year and force 30k.

I think holding bitcoin is more important when the market is going up because that way you can make lots of profits. Holding bitcoin when the market is going down has no benefit since you are losing money. the best thing to do is move out and wait until when the market starts recovering then you invest again.

Good way of thinking, it can help to avoid unnecessary movement where we might do panic selling if we are worried about the possible crash of bitcoin, some investor doesnt see it as a good opportunity to buy more, they rather sell their invesment than to lose more, but they do not know that it would be better if they buy more and add their investment.

The next move of bitcoin have always become very unpredictable, anything is possible in the world of cryptocurrencies, is either you win or lose at the end of the day. Just look at what happened within such a short period of time, we have moved from $9k to $8k  and it seems we are  moving back  to $9k again.

I see bitcoin price going about $17,000 by the end of the year,   in long run I expect bitcoin to exceed it's previous all time high and create a new all time high,  we all are just speculating,  no one can give accurate price about bitcoin,  but I believe that the long run will be worth a whole lot

If I understand correctly, these coins that are in these exchanges are from several people (they are customers of these exchanges)... which means that it is something normal since we are talking about exchanges (a place where you buy and sell cryptos) . It is impossible for all customers to combine and sell their coins at the same time.

I have neutral feelings if ever we'll see that 10 billion move. I'm looking for more of that in the future, we will see transactions more than that because price of bitcoin is going to be higher than ever.

Next year or more is a sign that you are looking forward to see the higher price of bitcoin. Holding bitcoin is worth it ever since not just for this year. Although I still see sign of worry and doubt for those who are following huge transactions which seem to be normal these days.

I agree with you although we cannot be sure when the pump will happen only that it will. We all know now that governments aren't openly trying to stop bitcoin and even if they did they wouldn't succeed. The time for that was years ago when they were ignoring it and when they saw it as something big it was already too late because some countries legalized it and created safe tax havens for people to run to.

Bitcoin will be big. It can take 5 or even 10 years but it will happen.

Bitcoin will be worth to hold in the long run because the price of it will always go upward in the future no matter what happens. It's just that the bullish trend is not just happening but we will see it eventually.

That's just too much for a speculation. I don't see any signs that Bitcoin would reach that price by the end of this year. I think it would stick closer to the stable price of $11k+ or something.

The exchanges with that much BTC could definitely make a hefty dent in the market if they wanted to, but I'm pretty sure that BTC isn't actually there's, it's more their customers who are storing BTC on the exchange.

Could you imagine the bear market we could have if they started dumping the BTC? We would see such a huge snowball effect and it'll take a long time to recover over something like that.

Personally, I think we'll hit the 15,000 regions next year and I'm waiting for that time.

Can you mention your reasons to say this? or you just speculate because of the big amount?
If they really control the prices, they must plan to rise it someday. Since the bearish has happened, then they must plan to end it and rise it to gain profits. Yeah, they may have the power to make bearish and bullish. But we don't so worry, Bitcoin doesn't depend on whales only. It has a future to be a real digital currency. As long as we are going to the goal, I am still sure to hold both the short or long term.

if some exchanges work together and they hold lots of bitcoin, maybe even hundreds of thousands of bitcoins, of course they can move the market price, just like whales move the market price even a little,
especially if it has touched 10 billion, this will be a big spike in the future.

Once the bull market starts those who patiently and took advantage of the bear market will gain a lot of money due to their patience. No one can guarantee you that bitcoin will have good increase this year. But many people are being positive this year.

Holding bitcoin long term is better. Halving is approaching and governments and companies are starting to appreciate blockchain. The US government too even with strict rules is also giving go signals on some exchanges.

It can surely affect the price of bitcoin if 10 billion worth of bitcoin will be move but if it will be use to pump the price then it can surely increase the price of bitcoin in a short period of time.

Buying bitcoin as of now will be worth a long time of investment and not for this year only as it will surely take time for the bitcoin price to recover. Maybe in midst of 2020 we can see the price of bitcoin to x2 or x3 which is good price to sell.
