Google chrome store on spotlight again over hosting Malicious browser extensions... It really makes me wonder, doesn't google a procedure of first vetting apps and extensions before they make it to their stores?

I mean just small back ground checks would at least keep such malicious extensions from making it to the store.

I think they have a standard vetting procedure but they only prevent known malware and that means they are always a step behind against these new malicious extensions. It'll take massive reporting before they take action which is unfortunate.

I don't get how so many people are holding large amounts of funds in web extension wallets, online wallets, desktop wallets, and so on... What the hell is SAFU wallet? Why don't you get some decent wallet at least?

Until people become really careful with their funds, i.e., buying a hardware walllets, we will see this kind of things every day.

Much worse if it goes up in the play store, and many people downloaded it and used the wallet. This just tells that google team behind the vetting and checking these apps are very incompetent compare to apple. They're too strict of checking before an app get published on appstore unlike in playstore.

It do comes to my mind that Google should be held responsible with these hacking incidents yet they should impose some strict criterias for an app to be listed without having any shady malwares inside of it.Due to lots of apps that been flooding out and knowing this store has the most wide variety when it comes to apps then they do come into the point that their standards of security had significantly goes down too thats why we are seeing these situations.

People do have some common impressions when it comes to those apps that being listed or downloaded on google playstore which they do highly believe that it is legit and trustable.Even myself do still hesitant on downloading into this store and im making myself too paranoid when we do talk about security matters.
