You can deposit TRX on metamask as an erc20 token but if its already on the main net it won't work.

About swapping there is no feature on metamask that you can just swap TRX to mainnet.

TRX has been on their mainnet now
Not sure if there's still ERC20 TRX because based on what i recall, most are burned and converted to mainnet tokens

Anyhow, you can try to download some TRX wallet like TronLink (Chrome extensions)
Or if you could afford Hardware Wallet like Nano ledger, its better to store there for safety purpoes

I guess you mean metamask and not metamax. I Googled the word metamax and found little info on it. Probably another name for metamask?

Tron is another Blockchain of its own... so it most likely won't work on metamask. Metamask is compatible only with Ether and erc20 tokens.

If you have Tron based on token (erc20), it will work Ofcourse. Do you have Tron token?

Mainnet Tron has long been done so to swap from metamask I think it can't, do you still keep the old trx token?
At present TRX already has its own wallet and many wallets like erc20, you better buy trx than swap again.

Binance is still supported to convert from ERC20 to TRX mainnet. You should convert because Tron on Ethereum is no longer supported by the official Tron developers

That's correct. I had a few TRX ERC20 that I received from the Eth holders airdrop. I just sent thoseERC20 to my Ethereum Address on binance and they were automatically converted to TRX mainnet tokens.

Easy to do. Don`t store your TRX on metamask, as ERC20 tokens are no longer supported by Tron Network team.

There is no way anymore. Metamask is connected to Ethereum blockchain network. But TRX has its own blockchain network also.

but you can use another chrome extension for Tron.

you can keep your TRX and all Tron tokens in Tronlink and trade them with dapps.

Trx mainnet launched and if you want to deposit in metamask so you can deposit but that TRX should be ERC20 based token, you can also swap  TRX according to their guidelines provided in announcements.

Is the TRX address that we swap is the same as the Ethereum address. Because these are two coins with different platforms. I have never tried it. Thanks for the infomation.

Just to clarify, I don't think you got it.
You cannot store TRX in Metamask.

TRX has its own blockchain. However, there was an airdrop to ETH holders in the Ethereum Blockchain, and they airdropped TRX ERC-20 Tokens to wallets with some ETH balance.

Those Tokens are not strictily TRX, as they are no longer supported by TRX team, company or whatever they are. But you can exchange those tokens 1:1 on binance. There is no guarantee that binance will continue to do so, or that binance will even exist in the next year.

So, if you want to store TRX, get a Tronix or TronLink Wallet.

I don't think you can do it anymore cuz Tron now have there own main net and blockchain and its not an erc20 token anymore but check this article anyway maybe it will be helpful

if I were you, I would look for the official TRON website, after that look for the official group and official email, then ask about deposit and any place that supports swap tron,
because the information provided by admin or tron official team is usually more complete and of course can prevent us from scammers who try to deceive us.

Why not use an exchange market for swap your trx coin? I think be easy if you use your exchange market to swap your coin because the exchange market will swap automatic your TRX coin, just sent to an exchange have support swap for TRX like binance and hold your trx there for one or two month and every month your will received your trx coin in your wallet sending each month.
