A major player in the cryptocurrency market has just withdraw 1,000 BTC ($ 8.4 million) from Bitstamp to an External wallet. Is this a sign that Bitcoin is accumulating?

The leading digital currency has held steady around $ 8,300 and seems to prove the mistake of many bears that have called for further breaks below $ 8,000. Instead, Bitcoin remains relatively stable and strangely low volatility.

With the stability of Bitcoin price, some whales are getting attention - it seems to be a clear sign that we are in a period of accumulation.
An individual earlier today transferred 1,000 BTC (worth about $ 8.3 million) from Bitstamp to an External wallet. Transactions recorded by Whale Alert.
1,000 BTC was sent to a whole new address. This means it has been specifically made to accumulate this BTC. As one user on Twitter wrote, this whale simply transferred their BTC to the "HODL wallet".

Bitcoin has proven resilient at this price level and fears of a collapse are regressing. Panic increased when Bitcoin posted a two-digit loss two weeks ago just a day after Bakkt was released. There were expectations of further price collapse, but this has not yet happened. Instead, we now have a period of time for traders to recover. Bitcoin remains stable and many large altcoins have broken out of support.

The stability of Bitcoin is good news for the entire cryptocurrency market. It has a cumulative period and is the time for other cryptocurrencies to keep up with Bitcoin. It remains to be seen how long this stable period will last before Bitcoin decides its time for again

all you know is that X amount of bitcoin has moved from address1 to address2. everything else (such as this being a whale and not being Bitstamp itself) is purely your imagination.

that is a bullshit website created to only get traffic by posting nonsense about large transactions.

It has a cumulative period and is the time for other cryptocurrencies to keep up with Bitcoin.

altcoins can only keep up with bitcoin if and only if they start having real world usages, otherwise as long as they are purely for trading purposes they won't even survive in long run let alone keep up!

I do agree with these statement that there is a high possibility that the 1000 btc being transferred was in fact done by bitstamp itself. But still there is a small possibility that it was done by a whale since we do not have a clear evidence as to who really transferred the amount. But even it is only a slight possibility that a whale is the one who did it then I guess Ill have to take in the news and prepare even if the possibility is small.

Yes, I also did not find Tx, the hash that was traded 1000BTC because there was no article link? how do i know this is a whale or a bitstamp that did it.

It was transferred to their own wallet, and that wallet was considered as HODL wallet, which means an individual whale is holding 1000 BTC. A lot of people are already talking about this and they can see that this might be the sign of an increase in the price of bitcoin.

So roughly, 1,289 bitcoin is in the wallet which is totally crazy. Though, it's too early for now to speculate about sudden pump.

Or could this be just hyping?

It may be both, this may bring hype since this has been seen already by many traders/holders/investors. This may bring an effect to its price by the next following days or months. Its still early to predict and its really hard to tell the next following things to happen in the market.

When it comes to Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies potential prices, thee is nothing as facts, even those who claim to be experts in the matter of cryptos are just merely making speculations and nothing else. Possibly tho, because some people tend to believe that there will be a good move coming if some "whales" are transferring huge amounts of bitcoin that there must be something that will happen in just few weeks. Or this is just a decoy or just some normal balance movement from bitstamp itself.

If this transaction actually happened then it could just be a whale who doesn’t intend to sell anything atm so moving coins off an online exchange is a clever thing to do.

It could easily just be Bitstamp transferring funds too. Either way 8.4 million USD worth isn’t all that much in the grand scheme.

What made you think it was an individual and not a company? Whatever entity it was this should be a good sign. Everyt time BTC is moved outside an exchange it should be viewed as positive news as the owner can't directly liquidate those within a push of a button. Anyway I don't think a whale holding this amount of BTC would just sell them at market price, instead he would strategize his orders like a good investor/trader.

Red-Apple, from the posted link (https://whale-alert.io/transaction/bitcoin/1397f8e570ec545ea558cf21e8007936bea4ea895a65def750df4ed2ffecf866/1) we can navigate to this transaction, and from there we can use WalletExplorer to check any address from the transaction.

I check just the first 2 addresses, and both really belong to Bistamp, which is proof that coins are moved from this exchange to address which is from an unknown owner.

Although it may seem to someone that this is a big player, 1000 BTC in fact it is a very small amount considering nearly 18 million of mined coins. It should be considered though that this is not whale move, maybe exchange is just moving coins to another address.

It might not necessarily be a purchase but just transferring of funds from an exchange entity up to an individual's wallet. Or it could be someone trying to wash away the tracks/origins of their coins that's why they sent it to Bitstamp then out into the open again. 1000BTC is a lot of coins in today's standards, though not that big in comparison with other whales in the ecosystem. Nevertheless, this movement will not trigger any substantial price movement anytime soon, as it is still considered as a drop in the ocean of bitcoin.

If they transfer from Bitstamp maybe they are buyer from there than choose to hold it or the second scenario that is by Bitstamp itself  
We need see the received address, is it want sending again or not. Maybe around 1 week i will try see it.
If not moved, yes a chance he hold it. But if moved that address maybe cold wallet from Bitstamp.
There is many possibility. So keep believe with yourself.
I think Bitcoin will stronger soon!
