LytixChain Takeover:
The original project leader "faetos" has decided to hand over the project to me. He has an ongoing illness with a family member that requires more of his time. Also a conflict of interest with his place of work has caused an issue.

There were a few good reasons to takeover the project instead of making a new one. The blockchain is well developed, there was no ICO, no inflation, circulating supply is 13 million, stable price at Crex24 "It dropped after the takeover but we are recovering fast"...etc

LytixChain Whitepaper:
Although the original idea was to develop a Maxnode Data Driven API, I have decided to contiune the blockchain development with a new direction that will help solve a problem in the crypto currency world.

Problem: Who accepts crypto currency?
Crypto currency is hard to spend online for real products and services, even Bitcoin is facing this problem.

If you want to buy a shirt with bitcoin, you need spend a good amount of time looking into who accept's bitcoin, rather than which shirt is best for you.

Solution: Marketplace Blockchain

Advertisers will be able to list their products & services in the blockchain, and everyone who has a wallet will be able to see it under the "Market" section.

This will give advertisers access to all Lytix users, and they will be able to advertise their products/services in exchange for crypto currency or fiat money.

As a wallet user, the "Market" section is an online store, that will show you a list of advertisers who accept crypto currency as payment. The consumer no longer need to spend hours looking into who accepts crypto currency and who doesn't!

* Listing Format:
  

• Date: The date your listing was added.
• Offer: A description of the products and services your offering.
• Link: A link to your website where consumers can contact you, or purchase your products/services.

* Listing Fee:
There will be a small listing fee, which will be deducted from your Lytix wallet when you create an ad.
This will help protect against spammers and also support the blockchain development cost.

* Listing Time:
This is not a permanent listing, your Ad will be listed for 30 days only, then it will be removed.
This will keep the blockchain clean from expired offers.

coinmarketcap require us to be listed and traded in at least 2 major exchanges, we only have one now so the list will remain "Untracked Listing" until we do so.

Its something I will deal with later since its not a major issue for the project, you can still pull data from coingecko and coincodex.

Maxnodes were originally built as Data driven API storage, its now enabled as a second tier and I plan to use it as part of the Marketplace Blockchain.

Advertisers who run a maxnode will get 50% off the listing fee, making it very cheap to post advertisements in the blockchain. Masternodes will also get a discount. Anyway, I did not announce this in the topic or even discord cause I still need to work the development part of it.

Yes, a lot of work will go into the website design, content and loading time as well. I don't have an ETA when I will start this but it will be done for sure, its on the top of the worksheet. Adding the wallet to Google Play is not a priority now but if we get more people interested in it, then we will consider it.

This fee is not final and it will depend on how much interest the project will get from advertisers and the crypo currency community in general. The listing approval procedure is certainly "centralized", but there are definitely lots of things that need to be centralized. If there's no "listing approval" procedure, the marketplace will most probably become a shitshow very quickly, wich loads of scam links and irrelevant stuff.

Maybe a better idea would be to create a "community vote" system for approval/rejection of new listing proposals?

If the fee is paid in LYTX coins, then when a proposal is rejected by the "community", the fee could be refunded to the original sender? Wouldn't that make it decentralized?

Oh, and... about the "end of a good project", let's not forget that in the current state of everything, the specificity of Lytix, aka hosting small files privately & securely on the chain for banks & insurance, was not yet developed. At all. So before passing the torch to Senaia, there was no use case at all.

Now Senaia's trying to relaunch the project by adding a use case that is not too far away from implementation, which means that the current holders & the new buyers will have a few ways to use (aka spend) their coins. I think it's already a HUGE progress in the right direction. It could work already that way, with a good combination of smart marketing, good networking and the injection of reasonable funds.

We have other ideas as well, currently under discussion, but those are a bit too "far away" to be announced now.

Don't worry, I have been in the hosting business for almost 10 years, uptime is 100% unless I need to shutdown the server for maintenance or upgrades which is rare. Kernel updates are done without the need to shutdown or reboot.

Yes, I'm still looking for a proper WHMCS payment module but haven't found any so far. I even talked to cryptocurrencycheckout on how their module work and it seems to be semi manual as well. So we will stick to the manual payment method for now, you will see our LYTX address on your invoice, send payment to it, then open a ticket to alert us.

Anyway, I will keep looking for a proper payment module and make the order process much more user-friendly.

The problem i see with this idea, and the reason I think it will need to diverge or re-pivot it's marketplace to be truly unique is the fact that blockchain or cryptocurrency is the only differentiating factor. Even crypto, currently many businesses accepts bitcoin (Starbucks), and I've seen this idea at least a thousand times, e-commerce with crypto wher people can list their items. I've even seen whole foods accept crypto, so it's  becoming more and more accepting. I think if projects want to succeed nowadays their usecase or platform has to be successful in a way that even if it had nothing to do with crypto, it would still succeed, in that sense crypto is just a supplementary bonus.

The current one loading time is bad and its HTML code isn't optimized. The new website will be faster and it will include the roadmap, guides...etc

Hello everyone,

We have launched a new release (v2.1.0) and its mandatory to update as soon as possible.

Masternode collateral will become 10000 when we reach block 510000, and the new reward will take effect when we reach block 515000. It will become 60% maxnode, 20 masternodes and 20% staking.

This release has a new protocol (71033) and it will be enforced before we reach block 515000. That's why its mandatory to update all your maxnodes and masternodes, not just your desktop wallet.

Windows Update:

* BACKUP your wallet!

* Download Windows wallet and install it.


Maxnode/Masternode Update:

* SSH into your VPS and stop lytixd: lytix-cli stop

* Download the new binaries to your VPS: wget https://github.com/LytixChain/lytix/releases/download/v2.1.0/lytix-2.1.0-Linux-x86_64.tar.gz

* untar and replace the old binaries with the new one's:

why new website? you can improve your current one instead.. theres nothing wrong with your website. but where is your marketplace? and i guess you need a new roadmap for this coming year.
what are your new goals for this coin? how can you increase its value in the market?

The current one loading time is bad and its HTML code isn't optimized. The new website will be faster and it will include the roadmap, guides...etc

The new goals will depend on what our community will decide, and I have new investors who will join the project next month so this should help with our market value.

new investors will give you funds to proceed with your goals? if you will reach 20-30 sats, i guess you are on the right track to revive this project.

for some reason my blockchain got stuck here again and I had to delete it and redownload it, now it's working fine.

Wow, great! Nice to hear about your personal endeavours in this time of crisis. What you are doing right now is more important than this project. But do you have other personnel that can take care of your business here while you are out there? It is better to have others that will help you with this one. We have a new release and its mandatory to update as soon as possible.

There was a bug in the blockchain code and it was triggered at block 710000, causing the blockchain to stop working and get stuck.

I have been working on this for the past 72 hours and I got it working again but everyone needs to update their wallets and masternode/maxnode.

Everyone is required to download the new release (V2.1.1) which can be found at GitHub.

* Download the new Windows wallet and update.

* Wait for full sync and then Start your masternode/maxnode.

* If sync is stuck, use bootstrap or delete the blockchain and let it reindex from start.

Make sure your masternodes/maxnodes are using the latest binaries and synced according to explorer block.

Our explorer is fully synced and has the correct block:
