Will XRP Claim the #2 Position?

We will see it later. If XRP can do that, then everything will change for temporary because ethereum still has a project which is going on until now. I think not just XRP that wants to claim the #2 position at CMC, but the other coins want to do the same thing as XRP. XRP itself has the potential to compete with the ethereum, especially if the price and the volume and also the marketcap can increase higher. But that will be too difficult to increase everything to beat ethereum because ethereum still a strong coin at the CMC.

Not really having a feel for XRP given its centralized nature, but if the pace continues like this then there's no doubt XRP could snatch that #2 spot from ETH. However that would be short-lived, given that XRP has this distinct nature wherein it gets pumped for a few days then the hype dies out. More projects are pouring in for XRP lately that it's hard to rule those out on the factors for it to become #2. The question here is not about whether XRP can claim the #2 position, but how long can it stay in there before it gets overtaken by ETH again?

Every time it ranks up to #2 spot, there is always a shilling account who will post that it outrank ETH like its one of the best thing that had happened. Why should this be a big achievement when its always going to dip again. Its been that way for years nothing happens to XRP, no developments but spends all for its marketing. Now, you look the rankings again and its ETH is on the 2nd position.

The first time it happen was clearly a market manipulation. cryptocurrencency was pushed to appear in the limelight. it happens before but i don't think it will happen again because the market is really volatile now and due to panic selling, no body wants to accumulate again. ETH is jealous. It does not like to see BTC close to anyone else.
This had happened a short time ago but everything sat at its place before long. Instead of climbing up, I think XRP should be in lower positions, there are dozens of altcoins worthy of its whereabouts. We do not know how the 28% increase will result. Also it is unconvincing that there will be a big increase as long as BTC remains stable.

XRP can continue the rising in price, but ETH will not stop too, they probably will rise together, and I see more people supporting ETH than XRP

But now or later, xrp will not replace ethereum as the second best crypto on coinmarketcap
Even in my analysis the rank of xrp could be down my friend

Well if ripple performs good in this coming weeks or months and ethereum's rice fells miserably i think that ripple might replace the 2nd position in top 10 cryptocurrencies again bug i doubt that ripple will held that position too long it might happened last year

XRP and ethereum always fight against the 2nd spot. I haven't had any news anythig about ETH that I think would stop XRP from taking 2nd on the market cap right now. But as usual, ethereum goes back to 2nd place once the hype on XRP settles down.

I don't think XRP will be able to beat ethereum again unless we see another incident where it gets pumped a lot for a couple of days, even though ETH looks like it's on a constant bear market, it'll be hard to beat that blockchain technology.

This will be the case if the ETH's price will not change by the end of this month. more likely XRP will become the no. 2 Top Coins in the world. Also, the XRP withdrawals and Deposit is already fixed on Yobit exchange, more liquidity for XRP these coming days. I see no problem with XRP's claiming the top 2 on the chart because they are doing everything they can to claim that title and they are deserving of that title if ever they claim it in the near future. to be honest I prefer trading XRP than ETH because of lower transaction fees and its fast transactions. 

Just because XRP has been fixed on a medium level exchange doesn't mean we'll see them to suddenly boom in price. A version of this that would actually affect prices would be if XRP got a huge mainstream adoption offer, eg Apple accepting XRP.

Will have to wait and see how Ethereum reacts to this as it seems all the market is about to burst upwards ( not Bitcoin yet ) but the altcoins market seems to finally have find a green movement which is nice to see after all this months. Ripple has a strong position already but lets not forget Litecoin who by the rights, it has to be number 2 but yea Ripple can do it if somehow they magically pull a pump until the end of the year ...interesting weeks are waiting for us. If somehow ripple manages to take nr2 spot and it can hold it more than 1 month then I doubt Ethereum can do anything to claim it back.

It is possible because it is the competition for the massive number of coins they can produce and flood the market kind of policy  . Both XRP and ETH does not have a cap on its total supply and hence anything is possible and they can compete for the second or third spot until the entire market vanishes and on a positive note we can think that the developers in ETH and XRP wants the entire world to have enough coins so that everyone can use them without any competition  .

In addition, the use of ETH is more evident than XRP. Many platforms or tokens that use ERC20 made. Personally, I also prefer a decentralized ETH than a centralized XRP.

I think XRP will not have a chance to achieve the 2nd position because the value of this coin is really very low and the supply of XRP is the only reason why investors want to stay away. This market has always had fierce competition but only ETH is the best coin to stand in this position. Ethereum technology is much better than Ripple and in my country people trend to use ETH more in trading.
