Btc Exactly can be a main choice. Because I believe ATH moment can happened again after bitcoin halving.

agree with this. i also prefer to invest in bitcoin as a main choice. it has more potential compared with altcoin.

Also we can't underestimate ETH and TRX they also got their ATH on 2017. Stocking them since this day can be a secondary choice.

i dont invest in altcoin now, i still dont see any potential in the future. prefer to wait until the altseason comeback
then, i take advantage of altseason to invest in altcoin.

You're having good choices, but my preferred choice for now I would have xrp as my leading pick as of the moment. I planned to hold this  coin, because it's been potentially gaining popularity for the past weeks. Furthermore, it's not affected with more fluctuating moments in the market and it doesn't go down below $0.26 lastly. Currently it was stabilizing at $0.30, so it's now showing positive signs as well.

Aeternity is a good token, I sold them at 6$ but currently, it is trading at 0.20$. It has potential and it will go to the moon again so you can choose AE for long term investment as well. By the end of 2019, it will cross 1$ easily as they are going well with their project.

I have some altcoins from early 2017 and some BTC and ETH too. I am thinking about investing some more but don't really know what i should be looking into.

When i bought in early 2017, Statis, Waves, Ark and ADA was popular, how are these coins today?

This is the right time to invest in bitcoin as we all know the market conditions are worst so buy bitcoins and hold them for 4-5 months. Altcoins market is crash so very few coins have the potential to grow including ripple (but it will go to 1.2$ by the end of 2019), BCHABC ( it will go to 600$-700$) and ETH ( only for a long term and safe investment).

The above-mentioned coins are always very good to buy and hold in the long term,  most of the list mentioned by the person has very good volumes in the market and huge capability to increase their prices once the market starts recovering.

I am not interested in this choice because of the fact that Ripple is not popular with many long-term investors during this period and there are many risks that you need to avoid. If you look at the supply of this coin you will feel very scared because according to the latest information, every month there will be a lot of XRP unlocked and this will greatly affect the value of this coin.

In my opinion you should look for a better option or maybe choose Ethereum because this is the altcoin with the best technology in this market. Of course the decision is yours because I used to invest in this coin at $1 and have lost a lot of assets from this coin.

I think you forgot one coin, it's Bitcoin. IMO, Bitcoin must still be the first choice..  Other crypto coins such as Ethereum, Binance Coin, Tron are very promising for long-term investment, but Bitcoin is still the best coin that is very good for long-term or short-term investment.

I think bitcoin and ethereum are already out of your mind when it comes to crypto investment. those are the 2 coins that should be prioritized in investment, well that is my opinion.
however, buying any popular coin will be very profitable in the future when prices begin to recover. however you only need to choose a few of them for you to collect in large quantities. besides bitcoin and ethereum, I would suggest holding LTC and bitcoin cash, we know that LTC has great potential in reaching the price of $ 100, or Bitcoin cash which is so fast to recover when crypto prices recover.

those coins are leaders..
EthereumClassic will stay PoW while Ethereum moves to PoS , and i bet that a lot of hashrate and users will move to ETC, since they will have to keep using their hardware on something. + they have ETClabs which grows the ecosystem.

Zcash - now Tron, EthereumClassic and Ethereum are adding ZEC features on their chains + pioneer in the zero knowledge proofs world + made Halo recently and got a lot of positive attention.

I think the best coin to buy right now in the market is bitcoin because the bitcoin is halving at the moment. If you don't want to buy bitcoin right now then you can buy Bitcoin SV or Binance coin but they too risky.

For me, Bitcoin is the only option that makes me feel safe in this market because this market only depends on the volatility of Bitcoin so even if you invest a lot of good altcoins, it will not help much in making a profit. I invested a lot of altcoins last year and it was the worst time for me because the bear market caused me to lose more than half of my assets in a short period of time.

Now I realized that mistake and this year I only kept Bitcoin because this is the only investment that made me good money this year and will wait until Bitcoin returns to $20,000 because I used all assets to buy Bitcoin at $4,000.

The first priority of any investor is to go into investment of bitcoin, after which they can then consider to invest in altcoin, and like you rightly said, when considering altcoins to invest in, I think that these top coins will still be the greatest asset in cryptocurrency that any investor could hold as I see that they are still the few coin that are very promising in the market. 

40% of my portfolio is into bitcoin market while what constitute the remaining 60 percent of my portfolio is typically coins that are within the top 50, but my main pick which is where I have been spreading my investment are those coins that are listed as top 10 coins in the market. If we buy any of these coins, I am sure that we would not have made any mistake with that.

Only a few that I chose, such as BTC, LTC, and ETH, because I was already familiar with them. But for other coins or new coins I have not been very interested in investing so far, especially for new coins at all I do not know how to move the coins in the market. So I have to monitor it, then I decide to invest or not.

There are still other coins that are very popular and have real use case other than the new coins that are being released to the market right now, most of the newer coins are really not very much reliable again and I think that the economy of the world based on the current adoption really does not need more than the top projects that we have.

These 3 listed coins are actually still the very best of all the coins that we have in the market and especially bitcoin, but if we need to diversify our portfolio from these three to other available great projects, I think that we may still be able to consider most of the top 50 altcoins that is listed on binance exchanges. If I need to diversify, that is what I just do, I pick from the already existing top projects.

lol your story is same as me, i also lose much money in altcoins bcz of this bear season.
i hold more than 70% of my asset on bitcoin. i believe with next halving, china good news, and increasing more than 40% happened yesterday
those can make bitcoin better in the future.

If you want to be more profitable in the future, I believe that long-term investment in the cryptocurrency market is a wise decision. Bitcoin, Ethereum have always been my top choices. These are the two strongest currencies in the market, I believe their value will increase very fast in the future and bring me much profit. Besides, I will also buy some potential altcoins such as Tether, Litecoin, TRON and Monero.
