Hello. I would like to start investing in altcoins besides bitcoin again. My biggest criterion for the token is that its not an ICO project. Never had any great return from it. So are there any new non ICO projects with some potential being traded on stable exchanges? Thanks
I’m not looking for a new non-ico project because I also lose money to them so starting from now on, i will only invest on a good coin and a more established coin so i can have a profit. If you want to earn then always go on top, btc and eth is still the option that you should consider to hold.

there are some altcoins that can stand up without ICOs and this can be successful even the price can be very expensive because the platform they build does have a lot of usages that can be used by many people, so as long as their project is very good and very much needed by many people then does not require ICO to become big and get lots of funds.

Non-ico alts are definitely a way to go. But don't be fooled and invest in them just because they state that they are prefunded. Does anybody know any projects which offer trading platform? Thank you for help!

I advise you to invest klay. klay was launched on 24 September 2019. they distributed 5 million airdrops without ico. when entering the market the price is very stable even though many airdrop users sell klay. Klay's partners are KakaoTalk and Samsung. if you are interested you can read more details https://www.klaytn.com/

If you do hate up ICO projects then go switch with IEO's. Not having an assurance of profitability but these are more worthy than ICOs itself because the exchange itself would held of the sale and being directly listed and been traded after wards. You can always look or check it up for upcoming projects to go on sale: https://launchpad.binance.com/

why do you have to choose altcoin that doesn't use ICO? Do you feel better that altcoin stands alone without having to use ICO?

why do you have to choose altcoin that doesn't use ICO? Do you feel better that altcoin stands alone without having to use ICO? Let me inject a little of my opinion. Maybe the big reason OP is looking for a non-ICO project is because ICO projects have been known to be victim of the pump and dump problem and so if the project has not been using the ICO strategy there is more chance that its value will not be suffering great losses in the marketplace, but still since they are still altcoins they are also subjected to the volatility this industry is known for. In the past, I know that Polymath never had an ICO. Just recently, I supported the Png.me platform and Minter.

What do you mean by NON ico projects? Its only did not passed any ICO even IEO? Or the project which started with self funding?
In my opinion ICO project is better that Self funding projects. And IEO project is better than ICO projects.

Invest in IEOs, it does not matter if a product is already finished or is still in developing. Everything that matters is the place where they are going to collect funds and if it is not a big exchange, such token sale is very likely to fail.

there is more value to the ICO project because the community that supports the project will form and begin to strengthen, it will be good for the project market. but projects with their funding show the maturity and ability of developers to manage their markets so that they have their markets. not to mention they have to form their community from the start, it will be very difficult and of course, it requires a very large cost.

Instead of looking for those no ICO alt-coin why not try those who are already in the top list? Like ETH,LTC and XRP don't you consider them as a great one to hold? I also hate those new alt-coin that comes from offering those alts are going straight down whenever they reach the market so I think it isn't good to invest on them right now.

I wouldn't filter altcoins projects by this criteria. I mean it does not mean that if they were funded through an ICO that the token's model is broken. The most successful altcoins in the industry have been funded through an ICO not STO or IEO. Look at Ethereum, IOTA, NEO, STRATIS, etc. Just because you have participated in some low quality ICOs that doesn't mean your next experience should be the same. If I were you I'd base my decisions on a thorough analysis of the team, whitepaper and token economy of any altcoin/token I prepare to invest in.

What is the main purposes of non-ico projects? Becauae at the moment Non-ICO new projects are very rare. Impact most of the ICO projects failed in this year. But you can invest with old non-ico projects such as function x coin is the highly brightest coin because it’s a another product of Pundi X. So that your investment will must be worthy in the future. Fx coin is the most growing project this year without any ico. They have major update will be release X phone and others two different real products already live.

Nah OP judged that ICO coin is bad and Non-ICO coin is good. i think that's not right. because there are ICO coins are good and still survive until now so, choose the coin which has good project, real usecase, solid team, great community the simple one is choosing top list altcoin, be like what SheriffEl said ETH, XRP, LTC, XLM

Invest in IEOs, it does not matter if a product is already finished or is still in developing. Everything that matters is the place where they are going to collect funds and if it is not a big exchange, such token sale is very likely to fail. The exchange does not have to be necessarily big for us to trust in the projects that are on them. Is Yobit not a very large exchange? They are large exchange but we can see the quality of projects that are being released on them, how low that they are. Kucoin is a very portable exchange, but they are very reliable in their activities, they Have very solid projects that are on them. The point I am just trying to make is that, what we need to look at is the reputation of the project itself and the reputation of the coin, if the exchange has reputation, and the project itself also has some level of reputation, then there is going to be guarantee that the investor is in a safe hand. I also prefer to invest in project that do not conduct ico because they have their own money already to carry out the projects, so it’s not as if they are after the money alone.

Apparently it is very rare that the new currencies do not make an ICO but if I were to invest in one at the moment I would invest in GRIN, it has huge growth potential.

You got a valid point where I do much prefer to those projects that do have somewhat their own funds to comply all the things that they do need without solely relying from investors in terms of development. This is one of the criteria ive been looking when tending to support a certain project. Next, would be normally on sites reputation and popularity because you can presume that a good exchange would listed out most of the time a good project too.
