I am currently declining every project that does any sales no matter what they name it, this is not viable anymore. I will invest my money if the project itself is listed in the top 100 cryptocurrencies based on CMC or a low cap project that is completely transparent and willing to accept the critize from the community about their work.
this is the safest way to invest in cryptocurrency right now, there is no other way other than buying Bitcoin or following this.

You have good points. But lately I am no longer interested in investing, especially in new projects. Just wasting money and time. Yes, everyone has their own judgment and reasons, we cannot force it.
As in point 4-5, I better put money on coins that already have good credibility. So I was calmer when I put it in the top 10 coins.

Setting your expectations with existing coins which listed inside the CMC, coins who already have communities have a greater chance to grow further.
It's no longer the time for hypes but a good time to accumulate coins that have real use in the long run, it's no longer a quick scheme to be rich investing with cryptocurrency, it's time now to understand well and make yourself comfortable with your invested money.

I always check the teams and roadmap of every project before i promote them but still they end up a failure, every features of new projects don't clarify the fact that they can't fail or go scam, every new scam projects of nowadays looks solid and legit so anyone can fall for them

Thanks newbie for your advice and tips on crypto investing. Others who are not anymore newbies like you are doing it the wrong way or at least they do not check the projects they invest into. It is tiring to do it detail after detail but that is what is needed so it would be either they will do it, get tired, and reduce the risks or not do it at all, not get tired, and failed and cry in the end. But if they stick to Bitcoin and other top 10 coins, they might get away from all this.

In new projects, choosing you and the right way to manage capital will help you be more successful when you want to take risks.

3. I suggest you compare it to the successful ones, not the popular ones. What is popular today may not be popular tomorrow.
4. While there are hundreds of coins that can be invested in the market, do not restrict it with the top 10.
5. Look at the top 50, not the top 10, and there you can see a lot of newly created coins. And that means we can find projects that can be successful if we want.

I agree with you but not because I also hate alts but only because I don't have any experience with it yet. I am not saying that you can't make profits at all using alts because I know few friends which became succesful alt traders. So far I can't really understand why there are people who are obsessed investing in tokens but probably i could have ghe same sentiment once I learn daytrading .

About the fourth point you made. There are so many coins that in cmc but yet they are very much as shit as those that couldn't raise fund to be listed. I won't mention names but we can check cmc by ourselves and see coins with no volume and have been abandoned since.
However, top 10 are usually the best to invest in.

Investing in cryptocurrency is like a gambling sessions sometimes you win sometimes you loss, no matter how you good in identifying quality and potential projects, Sometimes shits happen! todays trend on new projects was the worst compare to previous years. thats why even if you properly follow those procedures listed above you cant be sure in the outcome after you invest in any projects.

Chances when investing in both bitcoin and altcoins are 50/50, but traders tend to invest in alts because its price is much cheaper compared to bitcoin. That's a good assumption but you need a good amount of capital if you wanted to earn big because the value of top 10 coins is quite high which is not applicable for others that have a limited amount for investment like me which is why I do research on other project with big potential, usually the coin I'm looking for is the top 200+.

If the coin is a new project and it has potential there will be huge demand for such coin, this is the best way to figure out which nee projects are worth investing on, real use case and working products is what makes new projects have huge demand

i.e. see if the coins are already on the market exchange or at least in the near future with a date. and the rate of ico or tokens to be launched is also very important to consider.

I prefer the higher risk because with higher risk there can be higher result. But be patient and don't invest unless you really studied the project how it works what is it's capability. How is the integrity of the team or the owner. How popular it os. You should first look at all the factors of the coin and it's developer before investing. And if you do that right maybe more times will you will be productive on investing. And lower the risk of loosing.
