Looks like the odds for this fight are now available, since last time I checked this bout; https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/terence-crawford-v-egidijus-kavaliauskas/winnerCrawford is currently 1/14 favorite to win, which seems about right to me. Anybody crazy enough to bet on Kavaliauskas though will win 7x their money... Definitely not the sort of odds I'd be interested in taking. With that said, this is just for two platforms right now (Paddypower and Betfair), I'm sure we'll get some better odds on it closer to the fight.

Champion vs champion gives more entertainment to the fans, so as a fan, I like to see them both fight if possible and if not, they need to fight a legend like Manny Pacquiao. I don't know if the camp of Manny will accept these young fighters as his next opponent but if the fans will be ask, they would surely say yes. If this happens that Manny's camp will accept the possibilities for the match between any of these fighters, another hype stories will come out. Just like from with previous fight from Thurman, trash words and other over expectations on the fighter is trapping a lot of gamblers to bet for him. Sadly in the in of the game, they fell on losing because Thurman turned out to be a loser and he swallowed all his words against Manny. I hope that this wouldn't happen for his another fight on this young boxers, because most of new fighters were too overconfident on their capabilities without considering Manny's record.

Talking about Manny's next fight is probably the one whos giving him a nice offer, it doesn't care about the belt cause they have them already and even Mayweather thinks of it rather than to seek big names.
Whatever it happens to Crawford and Kavliauskas fight, nothing to think that Manny could fight one of them but I think Spencer would have the possibilities.

Hey thanks for the link. That was a powerful video and I guess others will also have an idea that sometimes it's good not go always with the crowd but instead bet against to them. Well, there's still a lot of time to take a look of what will be the odds during the fight. That odds will not change I guess, Crawford will still remain as the heavy favorite here. Him and spence are both hype in the boxing world, so sometimes it will result to a overvalued odds betting on them. Remember the match of Thurman and Pacquiao? the odds differences was way too high but as the match approaches, most of the bookies has been changing the odds that's why I think that there will be a change once the fight is near. I like to see his latest video where we can see he already improve, that was highlights was a combination of his past fights and I saw how powerful he is but I can't say he is a good match with Crawford.
It's okay if you think that he's not that good for Crawford. I'm not an expert but I'm giving him credit for having no loss. This guy means that he can beat somebody else but Crawford is also an opponent that he shouldn't belittle.

Manny has one of the belt so he can either face another champion or defend it, simply as that. Whatever it happens to Crawford and Kavliauskas fight, nothing to think that Manny could fight one of them but I think Spencer would have the possibilities.
It's beyond Manny's control now, it's the promoters job, but whatever or whoever wins this fight, It's not Manny's concern, besides, we all know that both of them are under Top Rank and Manny is on the other side of the fence now, under Al Haymon, so much likely Manny will face Spence, Danny Garcia or Porter.

If you followed boxing for a while you should know that every promoter will do everything for their interest. 3. Do you think Errol Spence and Pacman are favorites against Crawford? 4. If your answer in #3 is no then why will Arum and Crawford not want to fight Pacman and Crawford Spence? 5. Have you watched and read news on the potential Crawford-Spence? You see who's talking and wanted the deal to make the fight happen? Who's silent? Who's the fighter that answers "you talk to my promoter..."?

Gone are the days when champion to champion can face in the ring regardless on who's promotion they are under, in the past we have boxers becoming the undisputed king in one division, there should always be this kind of matches if the two champions haven't face on the ring, and they are equal in record and ticket appeal, because this is what boxing fans want.

I've been following boxing since mid 80's when I was still a little boy, specially when I saw a sports magazine between Leonard and Hagler. When do you guys follow boxing? When Pacquiao become a household name? LOL. As a Pinoy, have you seen Rolando Navarette fights during his prime? Not on youtube of today, but watching it on a black and white TV back then. I bet you didn't because most of you Pinoy followers of Pacquiao wasn't even born yet. LOL. 3. Errol Spence will be the favorite against Crawford. Pacquiao is different story. 4. Potential is the keyword here, as boxing fans I wanted to see them fight. But as I have said, there is boxing politics here, Arum wanted to keep all the money that's why he is setting fights within his stable of fighters. The only way for them to fight is when there is big money in the table, just like what Floyd vs Manny back then, and maybe they can step aside everything. But as this point, Crawford and Spence need to show more.

As much as possible they want a game to be hype as that would help to generate tickets to increase their income. We know that Manny is humble but Thurman was smart to know how to hype so that fight was really a success although not as successful as May-pac 1. People are too emotional, they tend to judge the boxer based on his attitude not on his stats or skills, but real gamblers look at the skills of the boxers and one reason why a lot of bettors loses because they are naive when it comes to analyzing the game.

With Mayweather out in the selection for Manny's next opponent, Spence Jr is what the fight fans want too but i doubt if Team Pacman would bite the offer if there is. Pacman was exposed on that Thurman fight, in the latter round he ran out of gas and these young fighters like Spence Jr would exploit that and besides Manny will be a year older by next year. The most healthy opponent for Manny for now is Mickey Garcia or Amir Khan, not the fans wanted but if your are in the family of Manny, sure is you will pray for this.

I am pretty sure that Kavaliauskas is very lucky getting this shot, and his past fight with Robinson is not a win but a draw so I don't think that this is a shot in getting him a title match, in my opinion, his recent match even if its all a win is not so good enough,
Even though Kavaliauskas has power in his punch and he can surely punch for that case, I think Crawford can surely make this fight and gets this job done, I think that Crawford has more defensive ability than Kavaliaukas and has proven that he can hit hard, And at the age of 32 he is still in his prime, So Terence Crawford can win this fight.

Crawford is faster as well, and that is his advantage, his opponent has a pretty decent record as well but he was not tested against the best in boxing. I like crawford because he beat Horn who rob the Pacman in Australia and I think that guy career was already over and has retired already. Whoever wins this fight might have a shot with Pacman too but I am pretty sure this will end up a one sided decision.

Bumping this thread: recent odds at sportsbet.io Not very attractive for Terence Crawford though. I think he really needs to go out and fight other fighters out there. According to WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford, he is ready and willing to fight any of the boxers in his division - who are currently competing under the Premier Boxing Champions banner.
Crawford is back in the ring on December 14th, when he faces undefeated mandatory challenger Egis Kavaliauskas at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The unbeaten champ is a tremendous favorite to win the contest.
Crawford would like to face some of the names who compete under the Premier Boxing Champions banner.
Most of the top names at 147-pounds are under PBC - including WBA champion Manny Pacquiao, WBC, IBF champion Errol Spence, Keith Thurman, Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter, Yordenis Ugas, Sergiy Lipinets, and several more.
Crawford is promoted by Bob Arum of Top Rank, who have a content deal with ESPN. And PBC has exclusive content deals with Fox Sports and Showtime.
The respective promotional and network affiliations have forced Crawford to fight whoever is available on the table.
But he's ready to face any top welterweight competing under the PBC banner.
“I’m willing to fight all those guys, but it’s not up to me to decide if I’m going to fight them or if I’m not going to fight them. I’m open to fighting all those guys. I’ve been saying that from Day 1. Nothing has changed. I’m the best fighter in the division and I’m always willing to prove it,” Crawford told The Los Angeles Times.
“Bob is willing to make any fight happen. At the end of the day, it’s not up to Bob. It’s up to me. The fighters are the ones that fight, and without us, there’s no promotion. So if a fighter really wants a fight to happen, he can make it happen. You can tell them, ‘Listen, this is the fight I want and I’m not fighting until I get that fight.’ It’s simple. At the end of the day, they work for us. If we don’t fight, nobody is going to get paid, so they have to make the fights that the fighters want.”
https://www.boxingscene.com/crawford-im-best-147-ill-fight-all-those-pbc-guys--144788Well I do hope that when he wins this fight, Arum should sit down and talks for a potential showdown with PBC boxers, otherwise we won't see the best fighter in WW division.

Did you know that Derevyanchenko was Canelo's mandatory for the IBF MW belt? But did he get a crack at Canelo? So your argument that every mandatory challenger will always get a crack at the champion is flawed. 2. Oh please don't throw that argument to me, LOL. The only way for them to fight is when there is big money in the table, just like what Floyd vs Manny back then, and maybe they can step aside everything. But as this point, Crawford and Spence need to show more. 1. You just said you were following boxing since the 80's. So I thought you know the mando rules? Anyway, most boxing followers are casuals, so i'll explain. Every mandatory fighter will get a crack at the title. Canelo was stripped of the IBF belt for failing to fight Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Mandatory will fight for the vacant belt. So Sergiy Derevyanchenko fought against GGG for the vacant belt. Crawford will lose his lone belt if he won't fight Kavaliauskas. 2. I don't know what your point is. Not all boxing followers are purists. My point was actually referring to your claim that Bob is protecting Bud at all cost. And I said all promoters protect their fighters (unless there are better deals). And that's what Al is doing on Spence and his other welters. Avoid Bud at all cost. You cannot hear nor read on Haymon and Spence and Pacman (under PBC years) challenging Bud. But you can find many of that on Bud and Arum challenging Spence. 3. We both agree to disagree on Bud-Errol odds. But I am very very confident Bud will be favorite against Spence. We can bet thru escrow if you want. I tried to google it on their odds. First answer gives Crawford a -125, which means Spence is the underdog. 4. Mate no offense but clearly you haven't followed boxing enough. But that's okay. No one is required to. Here are some of the stuffs you missed. You were too wrong on the names you mentioned. They fought fighters outside TR. A. Floyd Mayweather left TR because he don't want any part of then WBO champion Antonio Margarito. Floyd was offered the largest payday but refused and paid Bob to buyout his contract. And Floyd's last fight before this issue was against Zab Judah, a Don King fighter. It was a joint promotion between TR and DKP under HBO pay-per view. B. Oscar dela Hoya's career was ending when he left Bob and they were actually in good terms. Dela Hoya founded GBP when he was still under the TR banner. And Oscar fought many non TR fighters under DKP, GSP, etc. C. Mikey Garcia leaving Bob was not a case of not fighting outside TR fighters. It was a claim that Mikey felt he deserved a bigger contract (money). It was even addressed and after more than 2 years of inactivity TR promoted his tune up. Mikey only left TR after the contract expired. 5. People should stop being one-sided. I am not a big fan of Arum and these greedy promoters. Fighters managements are the ones responsible negotiating better deals and squeeze money as much as possible, just like what Floyd Jr did to boxing and Connor to UFC. An example that Arum is not really the worst snake everyone believe is his $100+ million promotional offer to Tyson Fury. Someone tells me how much Wilder is receiving per fight? Wilder's 40+ fight is not even worth $10 million in total.

Final weigh in and presser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7ipcU9C46sSo let's see how Crawford will work out Kavaliauskas here. Bud is the overwhelming favourite here and I do hope that if he won, he should take the risk, or at least Bob Arum will allow him to fight other 147 champions under PBC to settle who is the best in this era.

It's over, Crawford retained his belt.
Kava was only good in the first 3 rounds, and after that, Crawford took over, round ninth stoppage. Would like to see Crawford vs Porter or Crawford vs Spence, it will be explosive, lol.

It's a tactical fight for Crawford here, he have hit with an overhand right in the third round if I'm not mistaken but the referee rule it out as a slipped. But after that, he has read Kavaliauskas, just looked at how he counters him with his lead right. It was just a jab, but it was that accurate. He needs to really go and fight the big boys on the other fence Crawford vs Spence is what boxing fans wanted to see.
