Hello!
I´ve the past 3 weeks read as much as i could about mining in general (my wife isnt happy). Reading hours and hours every day and i still dont know more than 0.01%
I thoughts are following -
The plan is to start out small. I turn a profit on mining since i pay ZERO for electric, and will continue to do so. For the moment i have my S9 in the basement (which holds 15c year round)
My S9 puts out a steady 16-16.5th/s.
Before im ordering more asic miners im going to try out full immersive cooling with single-phase liquid, 20l of bitcool bt888 will arrive next week. I want to give this a try and dump the fans and their 18-20% power usage, and utilize this for overclocking.
The test will consist of 1 small tank, 1 circulationpump capable to move 1.2l/min/1000w as recommended by supplier, i will run this trough a car radiator with fans blowing at it. 1 s9 gives out almost as much heat as it consumes or 4500-5000btu. I dont think there will be a problem cooling down just 1 asic, but there will be some thinking involed when and if i move up to cooling down 5-10 miners.
My questions are -
* Do you have any experience with full immersive cooling with engineered fluids such as BitCool?
* Im i able to overclock the machine to its max without destroying it? (if the cooling is sufficient)
* How much have you managed to clock a s9 immersive cooled?
* Do you know the long term effects SLIC cooling does to asic miners?
* Is it an good idea you think to submerge and overclock?
Looking forward to your answers, thank you.
