I bought a book, yes an actual paper book, couldn't find the ebook Just finished reading the foreword and couldn't help noticing parallels to our interesting times.

Charles Goodhard in the foreword to "Good Money" -- Birmingham Button Makers, the Royal Mint, and the Beginnings of Modern Coinage, 1775-1821 by George Selgin:

I certainly agree, that when the government fails to provide a satisfactory money, substitutes will be forthcoming, wether foreign money [...] or private tokens.

Maybe we should write a followup book to that:

George Selgin knows a lot about money. He also knows about Bitcoin and is intrigued but skeptical about it. Michael Suede as well as myself emailed with him about it.

lol. making a book from forum posts would probably not make a very good read, though .

You're correct, though, in saying that there is plenty of material for a book about bitcoin... even several. Some guy asked somwhere here if a "trader" could write something up for him, because he was writing a book about bitcoin. I guess he's likely not the only one preparing a book.
