All you have to do is write a letter and submit your wallet to your lawyer. Or you can also buy a hardware wallet and store it in a (valuable) box and then tell your child, will give this box when you die, if your child knows that you have crypto, this case will be easy. What I recommend the most is to say it now to your family before you die.

If at some point in time I come across death, how would I actually preserve my crypto for other family members to enjoy? I mean, this should be a concern to every crypto enthusiast since all the money they've earned over time could easily be lost without the ability to be recovered by someone else. The decentralized nature of crypto, leaves us responsible of protecting our own funds no matter what.

Which is why, I'm eager to know which are the best practices to preserve my cryptocurrency in case I die in the future? Any recommendations or suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
In my own personal opinion, the ways how i will protect my cryptocurrencies before death is by only telling one of my closest family members which is my siblings that i will tell where i hide all of my hardware wallets and private keys, so they could access it if i die. Hiding all of your private keys and hardware wallet in a small vault will be also helpful to protect your cryptocurrencies.

One way how to protect your crypto save before death is sell your altcoin and bitcoin assets, you don't know how the future with bitcoin or altcoin and how your wallet safe from hacker, sell your assets now and put your money in the bank. Just my opinion but I think at the future crypto very good with many country have try to adopt bitcoin and crypto for legal digital payment and there are many store have adopt bitcoin.

There's nothing better than to let someone know your stuff. It might be risky 'cause they may possibly spend your crypto without you knowing it. But the thing is if you're not in your capacity to be able to spend it anymore, at least there is somebody close to you who will be able to manage so that your efforts just to obtain such amount won't just go to waste. Nothing's wrong on letting someone know your thing. Besides, you have your own decision to choose who's worthy of receiving it.

I guess a piece of paper where everything is listed down detail by detail is enough. That would include wallets, private keys, passwords, pins, seeds, sites, and detailed instructions as to what steps to do to recover all of them or convert them into fiat. This would be easier if someone in the family is also familiar with Bitcoin or crypto. If not, the instructions should be as spoon-fed as possible to make sure not a single satoshi is wasted. Perhaps a detailed will is also good, which clearly assigns how much is for whom.

We all will ever face such a problem. First of all, I would try to teach my relatives how to work with cryptocurrency, at least at the user level, so that they can use it. However, I would leave behind some of the most promising types of cryptocurrencies, and I would sell the rest. If cryptocurrency would be difficult with the training of relatives, most likely, it would be converted into normal currency.
However, almost always death comes to us unexpectedly. Therefore, a significant part of the cryptocurrency will regularly be lost forever.

In life, it is good to always trust someone and this is where such people play important roles. Storing of login details to ones wallet on flash drives is good. Here, you can store the details on different flash drives and keep them in different locations where not only a single person can locate all the flash drives to attain the login combinations. After doing this, you can tell the trusted people one location each after which when you're dead they will come together in order to retrieve all the Flash drives for the login combination.

It should be shared to someone close to you, because if something happen and you are not capable to spend it anymore, your investment will only put to waste. Its better to let your family use and spend it for their own good than letting it to put to waste.

Perhaps, we should tell them and teach them how to use crypto so they can learn by themselves. And if the time almost comes, we can give our crypto to them and tell them that they now can use your crypto. With some explanation, I think they will understand, and you can choose the right person to continue with what you're doing. I am sure if they can use the wallet for a good thing, they will not use it for the illegal thing because they are a good person that has chosen by you.

You should choose coins that will not die in the next 10-20 years and renew that frequently. You can leave a note after you are dead, and tell them to act quickly because you can not expect this kind of action from those who do not know how to trade in this market. Or you can teach him/her to trade but s/he should always be aware of the best and make the right investment.

Set up an nlocktime transaction.

Essentially, it's a dead man's switch. A transaction that can only be executed at a future date, and if you're not dead by that date, simply send the funds to another address that only you have access to.

I'm not sure if this is something that is available with every single blockchain though. For alts, you'd probably have to go with a custodial service, or simply trust your will recipients with a private key (hide it somewhere perhaps).

Share your private key or recovery seed with someone who makes your life meaningful, at least your hardwork won't go to total waste and deep down you will be happy, if you have kids its better to get a lawyer and put that in plan, it will be useful for your kids when they grow up

there are several ways to be able to secure the cryptocurrency that I have before dying, one way is you can recap all important data from the private key and a place for access to the wallet or cryptocurrency that you have after that you can print it with the title "Important Inheritance Data For Family "and keep it in your cupboard or under your cupboard, after you die it will definitely be dismantled one day and your family will find out and your assets will be disbursed again.

First and foremost, your family must know that you are involved in the world of cryptocurrency if you can, you also invite them to join you, and you must be open with your closest family and you can say that you have saved your bitcoin wallet later somewhere it's safe for you.

For those who don't have any love ones around them or are loner i think its a good choice to have a plan of giving your coins out to help others, schools, motherless homes etc, if you don't your coins will vanish into thin air and no one will have access to it once you are dead

If you want to protect your cryptocurrency before you die and you want to make sure that your cryptocurrencies will not become a waste then you should enlighten your family about cryptocurrency and how to use and navigate your wallet. It is better if you will have a hardware wallet as your storage because it is safer and much better in terms of passing your cryptocurrency to your love ones.

Smiley
It's best to say it immediately to those you trust. You better print out a copy of your private key and keep it in the vault with your important documents, And indicate what to do to open the wallet.

You also indicate who will go or who will have the share of your wealth left behind. With this you will have no problem thinking of things you will leave in case you are lost in the world.
