Inspired by theymos' 10th anniversary art contest thread.

This is my idea with hopes of theymos picking up and advancing the endeavor, doling out merits for top submissions.

I'm not an artist so submitting my entry gleaned from the net ...

Is that Triumph the Insult Dog?  The pic made me chuckle.

Bitcointalk doesn't need a furry mascot IMO, as that would just attract the wrong kinds of people, if you know what I mean.  I don't even think it needs a mascot at all--sorry, Gleb.  The alpaca is cute but seems almost a non sequitur, just like the dog.
