The market is dull but most of us expected ETH to outperform like it did in first quarter of 2018 post bull run when every crypto coin were going down and even the value of bitcoin was dumped but ETH was steady for a while and not sure why ETH is under hibernation mode nowadays. What might be the reason we don't see much movement in the price of ETH? I know all the altcoins are down but ETH is not same as them but I am unable to figure out the reason why ETH is struck.

Its true that ETH have been not good since 2018 maybe because of bitcoin dominance and other incidents like fraudulent projects, that is why ETH doesn't make any great movement in it's price and a lot of people stop holding ETH for a while. But i think ETH still has a potential to have a good value in the near future like bitcoin.

ethereum is still difficult to climb back because many ICO or IEO projects have not used the ETH platform anymore, they make their own blockchain and I see using binancedex more often. then basically altseaseon altcoin hasn't started yet. I'm likely to predict that altcoin and eth later this year will rise again.

We are not in the altcoin season yet, so I am not expecting Ethereum to perform anything extra ordinarily because most off the projects that would have made Ethereum to enter bull run are also not getting the attraction of people that will come for them and you know that ico is the major product of Ethereum, which the only thing that I think would bring people to start investing in ico again is when the altcoins season starts, and I think there is a uniform factor that is usually always responsible for the move of altcoins.

We are waiting for bitcoin to start consolidating, once bitcoin starts consolidating, then we should get the clear sign that altcoins will moon which Ethereum being the king of all cryptocurrencies will surely be the first of all to start increasing.

What is happening to the ETH at this time is that it is still within reasonable limits, indeed what is expected like some time ago, with the current state of ETH is not good. Therefore as a crypto participant is wiser, so that the situation is on our side.

Everything is fine with Ethereum. As for the price, it strongly correlates with the price of bitcoin. Now the situation is ambiguous and it will not be known whether further growth or decline. It’s just that for now, you can exit the asset for a short period of time in order to be safe and not lose some of your investments.

I think that the current prices are quite good even though many want ethereum to grow more than the current prices. but I think the current price is good enough because it correlates with bitcoin as you talk about although I personally still hope that eth will grow fast

But whales will enter the market there will be pump for sure but they are already in the market it's just that they are waiting for the right time to invest and it's honestly a business tactics for them to cash out at high value and we the mid-level investors are at the receiving end during every dump so we need to play smart this time. I really hope ETH recovers but as far as last few weeks it's not going in a favorable condition.

of course i think they are already in market but not making any movement, because now is not a good time, and they don;t have reason to start pump the price, you know about top holder in bitcoin, bitcoin asset they have is never decreases, it actually increases, i don't know the reason but one reason i only understand today and 2017 is not ATH of Bitcoin

ETH will likely get a lot more usage in the coming years.  Most dApps and DeFi usage is with ETH right now, and the future of both looks good.  If you read some of the leaked Delphi Digital reports that have been floating around, most of their focus right now is reporting on the future potential of DeFi.

But still, we have 2 months until December because in December it would be a great spot to determine the price of Ethereum. I was also hoping to see history repeat itself, but now it seems even with the news around ETH, it's not going to see an uptrend in price unless maybe few days prior to ETH 2.0 launch since people will be accumulating to meet staking requirements. However, I added 3 ETH to my portfolio today afternoon, hoping for the best soon.

I`m afraid that you will be disappointed if you wait for December to be clear on Eth price. They announced upgrade for January, when that happens eth will be in turbulent times, its something that every hardfork causes. We will see more volatility in that period, price can move in any direction. Consequences of the hardfork, it will take time for everything to be checked and rechecked, for upgrade to be accepted. What will happen with ethereum will have a big impact, don`t think anything else, and we need to give couple months for everything to settle down, after that we will see where eth is and where its going, until that we can just hope for the best.

I believe that Ethereun is in the same harness with all cryptocurrencies and therefore it behaves according to the BTC movement. You are right, Ethereum is different from Turgih, but so far it can’t go in a separate direction. Why do you say bye? Perhaps in the future Ethereum will be able to become more independent and get rid of the influence of BTC. Only then can we see a good price for ETH.

I am confident that ethereum can increase its price again someday, it is only a matter of time. on the other hand there are many projects that use ethereum's platform, many communities believe in the potential of this ethereum altcoin, so I think ethereum still has a chance to rise again.

because ETH is preparing mode to ETH 2.0 , i guess dev a lot of planning about that. and for ETH believer, of course that what they waiting from a long time.
and as u see , demand for ETH tend to be stable, a simple assumption ,
BTC believer,believe when halving on btc block rewards will make huge demand for BTC.
same as BTC, ETH believer also believe when ETH 2.0 arrive , will make a huge demand for ETH.
for now , lets play "watch and waiting" game.

It seems like he forecast what will happen to the crypto field.
But I still am in trust with Ethereum, in fact I am still using it whenever I feel the fee in bitcoin getting higher.

Tbh, I won't be dissapointed. Since after many years in December Eth price was really volatile at that time and from what we have seen even they were doing hardfork and upgrade, the price weren't moving and it could be worse.

and we need to give couple months for everything to settle down, after that we will see where eth is and where its going, until that we can just hope for the best.

That would be okay to wait, since I'm pretty sure in November we would not see any good thing happen.

Ethereum is still hitting the bottom price and why it needs to go to the deep price again? You should learn a lot of the things that create the ethereum bull run in the past. Remember when the era of ico has begun and so many people are buying ethereum for the ico purpose. This time ethereum is still on its stable price consider about it has touched the bottom price and the usage of ethereum will increase even more in the future.
As far as I know, I never saw any bad news about ethereum so far and compared with bitcoin and bitcoin often gets terrible press.
Ethereum is also not getting a lot of good news too. The ethereum holders are still holding its position without sticking to another coin.
That's why there is not much movement in ethereum's price.
The hype should be based on the rumour about the significant development update and so far people are taking ethereum development progress as a steady development and there is no need to create FOMO.

Bitcoin is the foundation of crypto currencies and all the altcoins highly depend on it in order to make progress. ethereum has remain at the top of altcoins just because of bitcoin and it is facing a downfall at the moment, so watching etherum stumbling too should not worry. Most important, bitcoin and all good coins will rise up soon.

I think because some of the people who scared to dump their coin on bitcoin, they hold it on ethereum to prevent loss of income.  By the use of too many person by storing their money on ethereum they can maintain the price in a steady value.  They have no choice to choose because ethereum is one of the most popular coin in the cryptocurrency.

The price of ethereum is no still being manipulated. An update should bring great influence on its price. Nothing has been heard from the team pertaining the planned update, but when that comes, there will definitely be a growth much more that it had at the last ATH.

Market confidence in ethereum is still high, that's the reason they still have a high market volume, that's why most holders still keep and not sell it. Because they believe Ethereum will strike back. The price of ethereum which is far from feasible does not describe its ability to pump higher, in the cryptocurrency market every investment takes time and cannot always expect huge profits from the market instantly.
