Hi all,

I've read some posts already here. Can't withdraw funds from Kryptono account. Withdraw option button on the account's disabled.
Web site: kryptono.exchance
Contacted Kryptono via their Twitter handle @KryptonoEx and got a reply from @KryptonoHelp twitter handle.
They advised me to contact the helpdesk (kryptonotechnicalteam@yahoo.com) which I duly did.
They told me to send 0.01 BTC to rectify my account asap. They wanted my agreement before sending an
address.
Why would they need this to rectify my account??

They wrote:

Quote: (verbatim as they've replied to me)

We will have to rectify your account.
You will have to make a deposit of 0.01btc to the rectification wallet address we will provide for you
to rectify your account.
Once we rectify your account the Btc will be refund back to you and after that your issue will be resolved immediately.
Reply us back so we can provide you the rectification wallet address to deposit into?

Any suggestions on how to take this further with Kryptono? Their website https://kryptono.exchange
lists an address in Singapore.
Whois search on the website didn't give me much. Most of the details are redacted for privacy.
Seems that their web server's located in the US (if you can believe whois IP-info)

Any tips/suggestions are more than welcome.

Thank you!

An exchange asking for a deposit in order to withdraw is really a scam. We had some cases like that earlier. If these are official Twitter handles of the site then definitely the site is a scam otherwise someone else is trying to set up a trap.

Red flags:

1. The support team you mentioned is using a yahoo mail account.

I visited the Kryptono telegram channel and saw this from their pinned message

⚠️Please always check the domain of the email: kryptono.co and kryptono.exchange before replying or clicking on links in your emails. Our official email addresses will be from @kryptono.co (for exchange information) and @kryptono.exchange (for account related issues).  We will communicate with you from time to time via email.

2. They do not need the 0.01 BTC in the first place and it makes no sense asking you to send.

Edit
In addition to those two, the official twitter account is https://twitter.com/KryptonoEx

I suggest you join their telegram channel instead and ask for assistance there https://t.me/kryptono (make sure you communicate with the official admins only).

What amount of money do you have in this Kryptono exchange ? Exchanges usually scams by disabling the withdraw and asking for KYC, but this is even more cheap scam when they ask to deposit more money in order to get your pervious money.

Typical scammers tactics.

Refer to my comment above. OP most likely contacted a scammer pretending to be kryptono support.

That means you have been contacted by a scammer right after your tweet to the official twitter account.

Good thing you asked here first and best of luck with your kryptono account.

You might as well inform the kryptono admin of the scammers twitter handle.

The crappy thing here now is that when I tweeted  https://twitter.com/KryptonoEx, @KryptonoHelp copied @KryptonoEx and when looking at the @KryptonoEx Twitter account, they claim to be "The official Kryptono Customer Service Support account"??

Glad that you did not send funds and ask the community first, there are so many like this in telegram in email all pretending to be part of the project or exchange, it's always a wise decision to ask the community for something like this, it will save you time and funds.
I have never heard of legit exchanges that ask for funds to verify their users account, it is a sure sign of scam site.

I often find it like this and some even claim to be the admin of the exchange to ask for the first deposit, it turns out he is a fraud, but I'm glad you have asked him in an official telegram so know that he is a scamer, so it's important when someone suspects us have to ask the official telegram.

how you can join an exchange like that, before entering into the world of trading you must find out first about a safe exchange, it looks like a Kryptono exchange scam, I found this thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5067428.0
It was written almost a year ago.
