I sold a small percentage of my BTC today but still have the BCH I got with them. Not sure whether to sell them now too. What's everyone's thoughts on whether BCH will continue to move in tandem with the BTC price or whether it will outperform or underperform BTC. I have to admit I have never really followed its movement or predictions for its future - I have focused mainly on BTC.

It will never outperform BTC, it's like a free money that you've got now and it's still you to decide whether to sell it right now.
If you missed selling it before and you are okay with the price of it right now, sell it. Because if I'm on your shoe, I wouldn't keep that coin.

I don't mean outperform as in some day be worth more than BTC; I just meant will it continue to move up and down at the same pace as BTC, ie, roughly track BTC.

The answer is I don't think so. As you know BCH is a bitcoin fork and most of these coins were easily dumped by the majority. And with the advocacy of their team, it's not a good thing for bitcoin. Many doesn't like what they are fighting for and they are claiming they are the true bitcoin so what do you think about that? That's why I've said, I'll just sell it and gonna remove it on my checklist. |

why you sold your bitcoin my friend ? why not your bitcoin cash i think, its better to keep our bitcoin now, even collecting more bitcoin when the price still below 10K could be the best idea |

I imported the address into my Blockchain account today & it says to transfer the BCH into my BCH wallet so that they are protected by the backup phrase, but when I click on transfer, nothing happens. They don't appear to move - not sure what the problem is.

Why sell it? I like to know how much is your target and how long can you hold because that is BCH, it's a good altcoins that are good performers when the market is good in general, if you are for long term, you just have to wait until the market recovers and of course BTC will have to lead to make it happen, so if you are holding BTC you will still gain profit but altcoins performing provides better return than BTC.
comparing the two,
btc lowest price this year was around 3400 usd and its high was around 12,300 usd. = 361%
while BCH low was around 130 usd while its high was $490 = 376% increase

its just a piggyback coin, shoulda sold it off at its only pump there last year, thats when i sold mine  it has no utility, if people want fast cheap tx's they can just use LTC fork coins were the 2017( or was it 2018's?) hype, crypto whales create new hypes every year to sucker in people stablecoins and deflationary coins is this year hype for example |

why you sold your bitcoin my friend ? why not your bitcoin cash i think, its better to keep our bitcoin now, even collecting more bitcoin when the price still below 10K could be the best idea I agree with you, why do you have to sell BTC at current prices, even though BTC is better than buying a BCH that won't necessarily go up later, I'm sure that in the future, BTC will be of high value if you are patient in holding your BTC and don't sell it. For now. |

The market movement becomes more difficult to predict nowadays that even investing in Bitcoin market will make you doubt and fear of losing your money. Bitcoin cash is always 2nd to Ethereum before but now its looks like the people who supported Bitcoin cash keep on diminishing due to bearish that if this trend will continue then expect the price will continue to fall too so i suggest that you invest only of what you can afford to lose. |

In my opinion and analysis, I believe the market will continue to fall sharply. This is a good time for you to sell bitcoin and bch at high prices and wait for low prices to buy.
If there is no support for pushing the price of bitcoin in the next 4 days, the market will continue to sink in the sea of blood. This is also the signal I gathered from the news forums and pro trader announcements.

I don't suggest your prediction because crypto is a volatile cryptocurrency, But it will raise again at anytime so we said next 4 it will dump gradually. I think the price of bitcoin cash can increase when there is good news and when the price of bitcoin rises it will have a good effect on the price of bitcoin cash which will also increase in price, for now bitcoin cash will be seen when it's the end of the year and in early 2020 is the peak.

Do people still buy this coin today?
I have not followed this coin for a while, the last time I heard about this project was about Roger Ver unable to pay their core developer and the developer quitting the project.
why did you guys buy this after hearing that? I do not think it makes any sense of buying something that is unreliable, it is better to buy Doge than this coin.
after a quick research, their latest news is CZ wants to list a token pegged by real BCH just like XRP. This news alone will not make any significant movement to BCH, the price will decline following Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

That is good, just focus on Bitcoin alone if you are new here or something else outside Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV. Those 2 do not have a bright future if we are comparing it with Ethereum, EOS and other cryptocurrencies. For now just hold it if you want to, and when you are in need of money again in the future just sell it. or you can sell it all and then convert it to Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. I highly recommend you sell it and convert it to Bitcoin because when Bitcoin moves up some of them are bleeding first and then following up. |

My opinion is that BCH is the ultimate shitcoin. The whole thing was a pointless money-grabbing exercise, and the coin never had any real use-case beyond speculation. And it triggered the wave of pointless bitcoin forks that followed. I would expect the price to drop towards zero, although it will likely take a while to do so, and there will doubtless be opportunities to make money along the way.
