Altcoin = MacGyver of Cryptocurrency
With altcoin they offerering new features and technology which is Bitcoin doesn't have. So many altcoin already created for fixing previous problem in cryptocurrency.

I think what makes bitcoin and altcoin different is the supply, demand and function for payment, for bitcoin right now it can already be used to make many transactions and many have received payments using bitcoin, while this altcoin I feel is more to one alternative payment which can be used and transactions faster, but the demand is still less than bitcoin because not many people use altcoin.

In short, Bitcoin was the first digital coin created. Whereas altcoins were created after bitcoin.
Even so, Bitcoin is not superior to altcoins. Some altcoins are superior to bitcoin, like Ethereum with its advantages of having smart contract technology.

besides of that ,bitcoin be the pionerr of blockchain technology.its not only about coins,from bitcoin born many version of blockchain with its own feature.altcoin or bitcoin on first usage was as a ledger and moved here its be investment portofolio.everyday we see new blockchain technology born and even it could used in our daily life.maybe if there are new coin that better than bitcoin ,someday it could replaced as major cryptocurrency. |

Bitcoin is the main crypto or the King of all crypto while alt-coin stands for alternative coin ,
Alt-coin is all of the other crypto around the market besides BTC .
And there are all sorts of alt-coin for me alt-coin is a crypto that have it's own purpose it stands as a token for their project.

Altcoin or what is called an alternative coin is a Cryptocurrency coin other than Bitcoin, or these coins exist after the advent of Bitcoin, and Altcoin has the same function as Bitcoin, which is for digital currency payment instruments. And this is referred to as Alternative coins because many of these altcoins have lower prices and transaction fees which are also cheaper than Bitcoin, so many people choose Altcoin for their transaction fee.
Altcoin has the same function as Bitcoin for payment instrument but there is more than that, altcoin has another function which is creating a new system that we can use to support Bitcoin or creating a system that help Bitcoin for future. For example, creating a new system that we can use without using mining hardware to run the chain, creating a new system that can help us validate the network with the space of storage and many more. So, in short, you want to say that altcoins are Better than bitcoin and bitcoin needs a strong support from altcoins but I don’t think so as much as I know bitcoin has its own benefits and it’s own demand, infect bitcoin is first crypto coin that’s why it considers asking of other altcoins so it grows independently we should not underestimate it. |

Altcoin got their name because of the success of Bitcoin. Basically they mean alternative to Bitcoin. the majority of Altcoins are forks of Bitcoin and introduces changes to the original Bitcoin protocol such as decreased block generation time, increased maximum number of coins and different hashing algorithm. Altcoins like to pretend that they are somehow intrinsically better than bitcoin but None of them really have any commercial application. I think there is one important difference that is, the founders of most Altcoins are know and is a known team but the founder of Bitcoin is anonymous.

Altcoins would have actually performed better, because with all sincerity, no matter how great and how much the project of bitcoin is, bitcoin cannot really do it alone, so it needs support of some of these other projects. My issue with those altcoins is that they are getting too much, the problem that bitcoin cannot handle is not that much for all these altcoins to have started offering solutions that they really cannot give, so if you are to consider any project, just consider bitcoin and top 10 altcoins, they are the one I trust to really follow bitcoin anywhere in future. |
