Coimbase or Binance. Both of them are at the top and are both well known exchanges so you can rest assured with quality of service and trust.
As for trading techniques, I'd suggest making your own after analyzing and researching the market. Your very own trading technique is a lot better than using someone else's after all.
I don't know much about mining but you can go ask for specific help on the mining forum here on bitcointalk.

Don't rush upon trading and don't aim to gain for now since you are a newbie learn to read the chart and you will find some informations on YouTube search some strategies maybe by then you will get an idea on how to deal with volatile markets. But I will not recommend you on mining since almost all of them are totally scam so best to stick with tradings.

Do you want to mine or trade? You are a bit confused. Mining is something you do to earn coins through your computer and processing power, while trading is something you do on exchanges. They are total unrelated activities, and if you are confused about them I suggest that you don't do any of them.

I would additionally suggest staying away from any leveraged trading sites out there for now while you're new to trading altogether- though it does seem attractive and it's possible you could make a quick buck from trading on leverage, if you don't even understand the basics you're most likely going to hemorrhage money with leverage initially. Only invest as much as you're willing to lose, and read as much material as possible and use demo accounts whenever possible. It's not easy work, and you're not going to be initially profitable, but with dedication you'll learn quickly.

I don't know about bitcoin mining because I haven't tried it, but if you want to trade and ask for exchanges that you can rely on, please check here https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/ it is a high volume exchange, but many people are use it often is a Binance and Huobi exchange, so choose what you can count on for your convenience is the main thing.

What exactly you want to know? BTC mining or trading BTC?

There are many threads here on the forum that may help you grow on trading BTC or mining BTC.

If you are going to mine BTC you need ASIC machine to mine BTC like antminer s9 you don't need a guide for this because if you buy ASIC miner they also provide you a simple guide and honestly ASIC miner is plug&play just make sure that you have stable internet.

For trading BTC there are many exchanges they mostly use are Binance and KuCoin exchanges if you want to see more exchanges you can check this https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges

Trading Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are better than mining. Because you have to invest in a large amount of money for mining hardware. You can start trade with a small amount. The important thing is you have to get knowledge about technical analysis and fundamental analysis before start trading.

First thing first is that we have a trading section here you can surf unto it and take a look how pros explain the basic knowledge on trading and even mining at bitcoin. Since there are tons of phishing sites, and scamming sites across the website, we can' easily trust someone or some site so we need to ask them first like be wise though. Also at trading on bitcoin I suggest to always not literally always monitor the price of it and even at the coin market, you can see it on some sites like yobit, the link is down below.

yobit link: https://yobit.io/en/

For the reliable sites i suggest read this article first before go unto mining and trading.

Link: https://cryptopotato.com/8-must-read-tips-trading-bitcoin-altcoins/

And on mining and trading it has a same principles which is taking the risks, why i say so?? because its all about investing, long term and vice versa. Be wise and don't be afraid taking risks so that no regrets in the end.

i prefer for you to trading only because if you want to mining you can't get profit if your capital is small
if you want to trading you can use binance because they are trusted enough

You can use coinbase but its cost is quite high. I think top trading platforms will be the best option for you! With Binance, okex or huobi, these are the best, secure and low-cost trading platforms.

Are you sure that you are really serious in getting into trading or you just found some one making huge profit from trading, better go to the basic first on how Cryptocurrrency works and if you step above the basic, Youtube offers the a lot of channel where you can learn how to trade properly, I'm not into trading but I found a lot of channels that specializes in trading they can give you all the insight and the tools you need to trade effectively and profitably .

It's a nice piece of information for anyone who wants to enter the market but I would rather suggest Binance and Coinbase as these platforms are reputed and everyone is familiar with it, I would suggest to go for Binance as it provides more features and gives better opportunity for traders. Because there are exchanges in CMC which has lower fee but they lack in security and non responsive support team.
