Blockchain =/= Bitcoin. Roll Eyes

If they stated they are going to make it legal then they even don't know what is that, there is no need of legality from government to use it. Tongue
Blockchain is the technology where coins like Ethereum and Bitcoin are able to be created, Bitcoin was the first coin based on this blockchain technology that got big, but it's disliked by governments due to it being hard to control since it's decentralized.

But, however, blockchain technology is loved between governments and a lot of them are starting to build blockchain based ecosystems where a lot of their services would be using this new tech.

They are still able to ban Bitcoin, and now allow useage of it, just people are able to circumvent this fairly easily.

Even he scammed maybe more than 300k$ from 20-30 peoples.Though i have all kind of proof but i didn’t take any steps because crypto is illegal.I didn't take any steps.because police can arrest me for using bitcoin.

You have made a good way of treating the case because you will suffer from not following the law,and at least you have learned the lesson about the possible scamming in crypto space

But having this news?you should be ready for more big event that coming in your country because of your Prime Minister seem to be supporting blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Try to accumulate more crypto’s as the big wave will come your way and bring you fortune, lucky that our country is neutral about crypto and we can freely do whatever we wanted as long as not scamming others

It is difficult to face strong legal restrictions in relation to the use of cryptocurrencies, however, the authorities cannot close their eyes to innovation and finally they will accept all the benefits of Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, we advance to a general adoption and The whole community that is stronger every day puts pressure on them to open spaces for participation.

Bangladesh been banning crypto and been hunting down those using cryptocurrencies in their countries from 2014 to mid 20017, It's good to know slowly they'd been accepting it as before there are news that they send blockchain scholars to studied blockchain in Japan and India for their plan of accepting crypto finally. Maybe they already see how it can benefit their government too that's why they associating it with banking systems.

Bangladesh banks faced so many challenges before and the biggest bank fraud happened to them and now maybe they realize the true potential of blockchain. Sending someone to study blockchain technology is a good thing, they are serious about the adoption and maybe soon they will make regulations on that. Its good to hear more countries do their effort everyday, this is one step towards our future goal.

We always think that whenever there is a talk about blockchain, it would always be about bitcoin. Although these two are binded together but they are two different entities.

AFAIK, bitcoin was banned there since 2017. Is that correct?

Yup and probably OP is mistaken for treating bitcoin is equal to blockchain.
Now just waiting for confirmation that bitcoin (blockchain) is accepted.

And talking about the bank legalizing blockchain technology, I could sense that they're soon create their own coin/token, best example is Union Bank that adopt blockchain and soon launch their own token which is PHX.

They did a workshop according to the link you have provided and they are focusing more on the blockchain technology connected to the banking system. They are more on using this kind of technology for data and security purposes which certainly needed by the banks.  If this continues, Bangladesh took a good step to accept new kind of technology like this.

But it doesn't mean that they will gonna legalize bitcoin as others are accepting. When it comes to virtual currency, the said country Bangladesh is hostile about it.

Blockchain technology is indeed very interesting. so do not be surprised if the number of countries that support it is increasing. by using blockchain technology the transaction system will be more transparent, fast, secure and the cost is also cheaper. now many banks are using blockchain technology. I am sure in the future more and more companies or countries will adopt blockchain technology. with the adoption of the blockchain it is likely that Bangladesh will legalize cryptocurrency.

It will be a great news if Bangladesh lifts the ban on bitcoin because it will be a wild market for bitcoin as most of the people is south Asian nations are well versed with bitcoin and crypto unlike other part of the world and definitely they will contribute in a positive way to the world of crypto but we cannot celebrate just with the news of blockchain legalization by Bangladesh government as they can use it in banking sectors or adopt a centralized crypto such as ripple by still placing the ban on bitcoin, blockchain is a vast technology which crypto uses and other non crypto domains does use blockchain.

Even if the country revokes the ban on bitcoin it's people should also support it instead of scamming or using it for wrong purpose.
Bangladesh is still talking about the possible use of blockchain technology. This has nothing to do with cryptocurrency and bitcoin. Blockchain technology is now recognized as promising and revolutionary by almost all states, because it allows you to safely store and use large databases of various information online. Many states, including India and China, although they recognize blockchain technology, however, prohibit or restrict the use of cryptocurrencies.
Cryptocurrency must be firmly established throughout the world before states like Bangladesh allow people to use it.

On the other hand, I heard few Ministers (of Bangladesh) are holding around 100BTC (per head). And, they are very bullish on BTC.
Seriously? are they using the funds of their people or its their personal money? Well, bitcoin is really good for long term holding. Usually government officials are against bitcoin but right now, most of the country are making their way to support bitcoin. Recently China, now its Bangladesh and hopefully my country will also make a big announcement.

It's as their personal money!

Do you have any good sources about this information? If really ministers of Bangladesh is holding that big bitcoin each then we can expect Bangladesh to be one of the many countries who will fully adopt bitcoin if they will push it. 100BTC is pretty big.

Hello; not each & every minister (of Bangladesh) holding BTC; I know few names & as well as their department’s name! But I am not interested to share this info publicly!

We should always remember that the blockchain technology and bitcoin are intertwined or interlinked but they remain to be two separate things. A country or its government can all be open and adopt the blockchain technology but will not allow the entrance of Bitcoin. China is known for this. Of course, a country that is convinced of the benefits of the blockchain maybe easier to convince to also let Bitcoin in either as an asset or a currency. Talking about those scams, it is sad that there are those who are using Bitcoin with their deceitful schemes and at the end partly destroy the good name of Bitcoin as people linked the scams to cryptocurrency. Nevertheless, let's hope and pray that eventually the government of Bangladesh will allow Bitcoin into the country.

It's just a rumor that he doesn't know the certainty, even there is no official news about the ownership of bitcoin by his ministers, after Bangladesh legally formally adopted the blockchain, the ministers might hold even greater numbers.

I think you should be able to be careful when talking about blcockhain in a country because there are indeed some countries that prohibit the use and distribution of the blockchain, hopefully your losses can be replaced and you can make a lesson.

That's great to hear! Right now i can say i have heard about 10 countries who are opening up to the adoption of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies which is good for the start. What's is really left is for the big countries like the US, UK to also announce their interest. Just recently China has shown some slight interest which really affected the marekt to some extent.

Because we faced many problem to use btc, even few people arrested.also in 2018 one people scammed me 4-5.5K$ worth of crypto currency.who live in Bangladesh. who are telling that if Bangladesh accept blockchain technology but there is chance not to accept bitcoin.I can tell you that there is high possibility to accept bitcoin if they accept blockchain technology.I saw few critics interview in tv channel they already told that there is no solid evidence not to accept bitcoin.lets see what happen.
On the other hand, I heard few Ministers (of Bangladesh) are holding around 100BTC (per head). And, they are very bullish on BTC.
I don't know the exact amount but I know that few Ministers holding bitcoin.Even I heard that 27 years old bot holding BTC900 since 2012,who is my elder brother friend. He use it safely he don't talk about this.

Don't get too excited. Every time a corporate business or bank pretends to adopt crypto, it's all with a hundred different catches. Just because a state or entity says it'll be Bitcoin friendly doesn't necessarily mean it'll be so.

Of course, the exposure alone can't be bad, and the fact that people don't have to fear using it will be a great thing on its own, but I personally feel that it's when Bitcoin's banned and shelved that people actually find out how to really use it.

All the countries will be talking about implement blockchain but they will not mention bitcoin or any other crypto for that matter because they are not planning to legalize the entire crypto market but they will be implementing blockchain for the projects they are planning to come up with and the banking industry might be using it but these words does not guarantee that bitcoin will be legalized.

It's good that they are also positive towards blockchain technology. But it's much better if they will include bitcoin in legalization. I mean if governments now are seeing the positive side of bitcoin and planning to utilise it, why not include bitcoin. Bitcoin is a good example of blockchain, why are they so afraid of implementing it? They just have to regulate it.

Bangladesh is also in Asia which blockchain could be adopted widely through the initiative of China and it also involve cryptocurrency not necessarily BTC.
But just when they talk about blockchain, people will also think of BTC. People who doesn't have idea about blockchain will try to search on google and will probably land on bitcoin related website. Nothing on the news that says anything yet but Bangladesh will probably be creating their own coin too.
