   I think it's a good thing that we have so many alt-coins. More alt-coins makes everything more interesting, they are
reflection of crypto-currency growth, more alt-coins, higher competition, better results in the end.
   But not all alt-coins are good. Many went to zero, many are going there, just the strongest ones will survive this
hard competition, and the ones that survive will be here in the future, if I may add with much higher value then they
have now.

In fact, the investment is also quite good and bring a lot of profits if we choose the right project. You are only talking about bad projects but there are also many successful projects such as Matic, Rune, Bittorent, ONE, ... so our problem lies in investment experience. You know, in this bustling market of manipulation, a colder head is needed than in other financial markets. Don't blame it, there are still many successful projects out there and your job is to find them.

That is only a few out of literally thousands of altcoins out there. The problem is, the source code is public and anyone can go in and change a few lines of text from the Bitcoin code and make it look like a new coin. Most of the projects aren't worth the trouble of even downloading the wallet(sometimes even that has a virus in it to steal funds). Unless a project brings something new to the world right from the get go, I usually try to avoid it.

We do not wish to have this lots of altcoins where almost all of them are worthless or not potential in the future.
But due to the popularity of ICO, lots of people with ideas try to raise funds and some even try to use fake profile just to scam investors.
In short, they are taking advantage of the market which is not fully regulated yet that's why the scam rate is really high.

the problem is that the community has changed from "wanting to see new projects that create a decentralized peer to peer currency" to everyone wanting a different thing "wanting to see projects that can give them the most amount of profit".

so if you look back, in early years we saw most altcoin projects be good or at least have some fresh ideas (i am talking about the first couple of years like 2010), but when you compare it with these days every project is only a money grab thing and people only want to trade them on exchanges. nobody even runs their wallets/nodes anymore.

Just look at Bitcoin, it was developed by unknown developer, no ICO and left the project to others and allowed the market to put value on it, what do we have now, ICOs for diluted ideas and greed from VCs have even made it worse, they do not care about project, provided their return is sure, they then dumped their tokens on small traders

The ease of crypto creation making a double edge for crypto, in a bad side there are many scammers are making fake projects many times and keep scamming new people eho just enter crypto, but in a good side there are several people with a great idea could make a realization in crypto without big capital, so these kind of projects will be big in the future

majority of newly created altcoins  now are just for money,meaning almost all of them are generic projects there are only very few that is running a new concept and original one.
these altcoins dont need to be here because many of them are just scamming investors and the outcome is those particular victim instead of staying here to invest is getting  out and not putting money anymore thats why the real victim is the market and not those individuals.

I get your point, but if a person is losing money because he has been scammed then he's a victim no matter how you look at it, but the point that you bring is precisely what I think that the market of cryptocurrencies has slowed down in such a dramatic way, during 2017 it seemed as if the market of cryptocurrencies was very close to reach a breakthrough and that we will reach the goal of cryptocurrencies of being used everywhere in a very rapid manner, but the huge number of scams have decreased the enthusiasm of people in this market and it is why it doesn't recover.

thats actually the main reason why i like Zcash and Cardano
Cardano will be a platform that allows you to create tokens, but the ADA coin itself will behave as a currency and as a fuel (like ETH and others)
the intention behind ADA is to make very operational and to build options for the coin itself instead of building tokens on it
there are already many projects that build options for ADA (watch dlab/ Quanterall/ emurgo/vacuum lab and more..)

the same thing goes for ZCash
Tron, ETH,ETC and other projects are going to use Zcash on their blockchain , instead of building something of their own which they could easily do.

There are more altcoins are destroyed already since the developer of the altcoins has gone, So this will become a shitcoins in no time. If have new altcoins has come and some old altcoins have no value will be gone also. I have that kind of altcoins in my wallet and Im not sure yet if this will be good to hold it because when I look at it they are become a trash or maybe shall I remove in no time.

Analysis of the current projects will not lead to the satisfaction of the investors due to the stated reasons above. Buying now is not affordable, the last downtrend wave can change the market atmosphere before the real bull market. Sometimes having the right timing helps the investors to make minimized risky trades with maximized profits, lack of right timing skills can cost a time&money. Buying the coin in the market is a good decision unless the market is in bullish mode.

Yes i agree there so many altcoins and most of them are not doing nothing that can bring attention and people to invest on them, are here just to take some fraction of whole crypto market.
