I used to gamble a lot starting from 2005. I will share some useful tips for a newbie gamblers.

1. Do not deposit anything, before your account is not fully verified. Because any bookie will accept your bet without verifying your account, but if you win and request a withdrawal, they will refuse and ask you for verification. You might not pass it for a lot of reasons, like bettors from your country are not allowed to use that bookie, or the documents provided by you are not acceptable e.t.c...

2. Do not bet a big amount of money, because if you will win, bookie will use all tricks to not pay you big amount of winning. Most common reasons you will hear are multi accounting, fraudulent activity, incorrect bets, e.t.c.. They will simply block your account and confiscate all your money. In some cases bookie might return only your bet amount and refuse to pay winnings.

3. Do not be fooled by some kinds of "Super Promotions" like "Place multi bet that will include not less that 4 positions with minimal odd 1.4 and if only one position loose we will return you the half amount of the bet" Multiply bets gives a big advantage to bookmaker because the possibility of win in case of 4 multi bets is equal to 20% or even less. Also avoid any kind of bonuses, because if you will accept them, you will find out that 4 rollovers bets are required to get 100% of offered bonus. Any promotion or bonuses offered by bookmakers are nothing but a way to force you loose more of your money.

4. Avoid playing slots, because all slot games are pre-programmed to 80/20% in the bookies favor.

5. Avoid to accept so called casino bonuses that are offered by bookmakers, that have integrated casinos, in addition to sports betting. Because, some of them can actually confiscate any money you try to withdraw before you will satisfy the bonus “terms and conditions”

6. Sometimes you may see that all poker tables are busy or a lot of players are online playing different games. Don't be fooled. A lot of bookies are using pre-programmed bots to create a fake buzz and make you believe that a lot of gamblers are betting big amount of money and their platform is very popular.

7. Always play only for fun. Bet only what you can afford to lose.

Nice tips, though I'm not sure how much Newbies follow any friendly suggestion. Opportunity to get easy money is often in front of healthy thinking.
You forgot to emphasize gambling using bots or any way of automated gambling. It can be successful in short therm, but at the end casino always win.

[1] You should read their T & C for the website, if they need to verify the account first before deposit and withdrawal and you feel not really confertable you can skip the site so you don't waste a time register to their site. Also if you cant find it, some gambling platform have a chatroom went we can ask their service without making an account. Just chat them asking about the term.

About winning big, the answer "YES" some gambling site like Cloudbet went we win a big money they will try to see the account activity and make us for doing a KYC for the account. I read some case about some player win more than 300 BTC and Cloudbet hold it the fund went he already do all process verification activity + hiring a lawyer just for the withdrawal.

[4] Slot was not really profitable from my experience, their wining with the risk was too far.

Yes Gambling Addiction is a big problem. There are a lot of gamble treatment centers, but I highly doubt that it is treatable.

Well, that is a good tip of you OP and good to see there is a thread like this that makes gamblers to be warned if they do not already know the consequences happen ahead of them. Spending an hour to have a good research before you are going to deposit is worth it, rather than you fall into scam gambling sites. Nevertheless, the most important before you going to gambling is self-control not to become a gambling addiction.

Yeah, though nobody really reads the TCs anyway. I guess everyone knows already that bookies will have all the advatange. You have to learn how to play with them in a way that you don't lose a lot. If you're a newbie in gambling, it's smart to stick to sites that have a good reputation. The internet will give you all the information you'll need when it comes to trusted sites. Good and nice thread, it's very well said gambling tips I had read. I quoted the number 2 above because I know reputed gambling sites will never do this and I think those only gambling sites that had shady behavior. Just a simple tips, before playing feel and think if you are in good condition to play, and before playinv make sure you know what game you are going to play and dont bet too high because it also increase the risk, and if you lose continously stop and calm down rest for a bit and concentrate again to refresh your mind and be in compose.

I can relate to the first tip. One time I deposited around 0.1 btc on an dice betting site, I took a big risk and played all at one go with around a 60% chance. God so kind, I won at my first trial. Now the real hurdle was to withdraw it. I didn't plan to play again after my win because I didn't want to get too greedy. So I proceeded to withdraw but I got an error to complete my profile and I was asked for KYC docs. The funny thing is, it took me over a year to finally withdraw it. Not to mention the countless time I contacted their support to explain things. This happened in late 2017 during bitcoin bull run so I had plenty funds then. I got it back in May 2019. I've learnt my lesson. That's the first thing I check now when creating a new account not just for a betting platform but an exchange or wallet too.

yes slots are always pre program because if not then how do you think theyl work ? how do you think the owner will win if he dont set the settings inside it  . also , sports betting website are i think not manipulatable because they didnt control the match or the result however they can still charge some fees or pecentage depedning on thier preference  and also we dont know if the match on the actual sports games are being fixed or manipulated but  i heard that some games are .

Yes, these kind of guidelines for safe gambling is not at all new for this community as we have been seeing lots of experienced gamblers sharing such tips from their real experience at the same time new and old gamblers gamble on their own and losing their hard earned money also happening more often. I believe any kind of such tip may work only for some sort of people and may not work for most of other gamblers. This is the reason people are always learning their own lesson instead of following others tips.

Emphasizing about gambling only for fun must be a good tip in my  opinion too. Because, if we start gambling only for fun then we may not be a regular to gambling then we can stay away from gambling as long as we prefer to.

Those are very useful tips - I just hope that the newbies and even the more experienced users will take the time to read them. Regarding how much you play with I think you should first analyse the bookmaker. So if it is a big popular casino probably it won't deny your winnings if you're playing with 1 BTC or so, but if you are dealing with smaller casinos aka bucket shops which offer a lot of bonuses, facilities, etc. then be very careful and test the waters before putting more. As the OP says don't play for money, but play for fun.

To summarize these tips, you shouldn't be greedy and you should never expect too much. There are really flowery words and great bonuses that will be offered to us but we shouldn't fall for these traps. Also, don't focus your crypto life in gambling because there's no guarantee that you could win all the time. Have it for fun and entertainment but you should always set a limit.

Just like me, I don't like to gamble in casinos or other cards because there is a bookie game so I keep losing in large numbers, it's really sad my fate.

But I turned to soccer gambling, I like predicting goals and winning, this is an opportunity for me and football is my favorite.
