The first two are the known and the used ones. What about the third one? I have seen many manipulations and since we are a 7/24 unregulated market, we are more open to manipulations. Which has the more effect on the price? Time to time, I have witnessed that some manipulative moves are occuring right before the technical analysis is pointing some directions. It seems like some people are trying to move the market according to their thougts. There are counter manipulative moves surely but we should take this into account as well.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

As you said a manipulation is an act moving the market according to their wish, in the open market we can not make a counter-measure of manipulation because the price moves based on their expectation and there is no limit for it. The only way we can do is lessen the risk by using technical analysis and fundamental analysis, no matter what we are going to do we can not make an analysis because analysis is created based on statistics and formula, without both of it there is no analysis.

manipulations definitally are the biggest factor, imagine if wash trading was LEGAL in regulated markets Wink (as it is in crypto as its mostly unregulated)
and man, those guys calling these market moves are just broken clocks, right twice a day Tongue

Crypto veterans are adept to manipulation and its a normally happening daily. Only new entrants to crypto will be shocked to the daily price changes. Yes maybe we can take into accounts that there are powerful people that controls the market and use influencers to coordinate with their desires.

manipulation tends to increase the volume in low 1d-7d conditions, this happens generally in coins with 2-3 digits. and TA will likely experience a reversal 1-3 days thereafter or not at all. This is indeed a deliberate factor and traps many traders. But different manipulations can arise, when they move first before technical confirmation by only prioritizing the fundamentals.

Price manipulation happens in any market whether regulated or not, just go and ask gold holders they will tell you that Government has been manipulating Gold price for long time because they want to keep the price down, the reason why it seems so obvious in the Crypto space is because the market is still very thin as compared to other big markets

Price manipulations are inevitable in crypto since there are no concrete regulations. I had a funny experience trying to buy in a coin which dipped so low that I was astonished, considering that the project was good. I tried buying in the coin but wash trading from bots probably couldn't let me, next I saw 120% for that same coin. I wish something is done about price manipulations.

thats right because, all market will always has a big player who can manipulated the market buddy
but maybe the chahce is bigger on crypto market , because this market unregulated

Who can manipulate only big players. They can manipulate as they like. They will lure the market down and then the trend continues to fall and a dump will occur. When a dump occurs they will buy it at the lowest price and sell when the FOMO occurs. Manipulation can also be done by utilizing fundamentals, creating positive and negative news to influence prices. As a small player I can only rely on technical analysis and fundamentals.

Manipulation is the most effective, you only need to use large funds. and BOOM... you will get a big profit.

analysis is prediction and technique is way. so rather than called analysis, manipulation is more precisely called a technique to get profit. FOMO people will react immediately when they see the price go up quickly. and this makes the manipulator profit.

well basic logic
if everyone expects something to happen tomorrow because of the technical analysis, it will happen now.
the market makers know it so they make the chart look like something is gonna happen and are doing the opposite.
analysis does not work , it literally written in every investment book
its more like a poker game

Manipulation not only happens in Crypto. I've been trading various stocks, futures, forex, options and pretty much whenever there is a crash of some sort everybody blames it on the manipulators.

Its very difficult to prove manipulation and that's probably why many get away with it. With crypto its even worse since the markets are unregulated. Bitmex is the largest exchange out there and you can see huge spoof orders appear and then get cancelled right away, this is manipulation also because many see these orders and try and front run them. And what usually happens is that the order is pulled and the price starts to reverse. This happens probably a dozen or so times in Crypto.

Can you trade this? Not really because sometimes the order is not pulled, you won't know this until afterwards. Some of the orders are genuine actually, but even then the price can still head the opposite direction. So its best to just rely on technical analysis.

Manipulation is part of trading, not just cryptocurrency trading of course but also forex and stocks. And this will not be removed since there will always be traders who are richer than others. There will always be individual traders as there are also institutional traders that are hiring the experts in the field. The most lucky thing that will happen is when you get the perfect timing and be able to buy when the whales are doing the same and get to sell when the whales are also selling. But this not happening always. You cannot read all the strategies of these whales.

And there are many kind of manipulation. For now a single pseudonymous player can move the markets by buying and selling on bitmex for example and destroy all the longs and shorts by one short move. And sometimes they seem to be just trolling, trading against someone, or panic selling for because of angelobtc said so. That will probably change over time. Somehow wash trading annoys me more, because i can't use coinmarketcap volume as an indicator, but i have to pick few trusted exchanges for monitoring those and count the average.

You got me wonder there.

Wasn't some big powerful individual who has many followers and told them to buy this or that is one of the manipulation thing?
Not only that, sometimes you could see a "fake orders" in some markets. That's what I hate the most. They're manupulating the price as they like.

Whales could also do some manipulative moves sometime. All they need is a large funds. And they could move the chart as they wanted to.

But you do realize that all these manipulations cannot really be proven correct? And we are in an unregulated market for sure, but regulated ones are also open to legal manipulations, so it kind of does not make sense to me to want that,,, the market just needs to mature and grow more global AND more decentralized so that manipulations are limited in effect.

Definitely, as crypto market is really prone to manipulation from whales who are just waiting for the right timing. Classic example is the April 2 price pump in which we enjoy till this day because it started this sort of mini bull run pushing the price even further at $13k. So in a sense it could bring positive results.

However, there are times that this manipulation will just put a dent on the price. Manipulators will simply dump it (pump-and-dump scheme) and then move on. Just recently I saw some coins pump to more than 1000%. I think people are taking this into consideration, and just waiting for any coins in the market to be the next target for a pump and then ride the waves, then exited when they got their profit.

The price manipulation is always could be doing by the whales who have much assets in crypto and even the whales are have community for pump and dump. Not much we can do because the crypto is basically decentralized. We can only aware with the market condition and analysis the whales movement

Shilling is part of manipulation, mostly happens on altcoins.
Most of the time when you see price of BTC take a dive without reason or negative news, its probably due to the ones who tried to manipulate by price dips. If anyone panics and sells his BTC, they are the ones going to buy it cheap and those who sold are left to buy at higher price. This is a mere accumulation by dumping and pumping. I have read this somewhere.

Why whine about manipulation when you might probably know that it exists in all markets, even forex, gold and stocks. Don't you read headlines where governments regularly fine big-shot traders all the time?

In my opinion, if you can't trade, knowing there is manipulation, don't trade. Maybe just hodl your coin.
